Monar dragged Mitsuki along to the next rooftop, but the flames followed both of them as the beast roared, spewing its powerful blaze.
The incandescent crackling nearly caught up to them, but a sharp click sounded from the creature's throat—and an instant later, the flames went out.
Landing nearby, Monar and Mitsuki watched that reaction, trying to figure out if it could be useful to them. However, a sudden barrage of light arrows swept over the creature, piercing its membranous wings and forcing it back to the ground.
Mitsuki turned his attention a few meters away. Azel was kneeling atop a small tower of a large ruined building. He held his dark bow with a much more serious expression.
'When did he—?' Monar was supposed to always carry Azel's bow. Mitsuki got his answer when he looked at the dark elf, who gripped his staff tightly. 'I see…'
