Harlan moved forward like a man trapped in a dream, his steps slow and uneven as he approached the pool. The soft lights reflected across the water, turning the entire place golden and unreal. He stopped at the edge, his eyes landing on the two figures inside.
For a second, his brain refused to process what he was seeing.
They were completely naked.
Not half-dressed.
Not teasing.
Completely bare beneath the shimmering water.
"Joining the party or not?" Xavier asked lazily.
Harlan snapped his gaze toward him at once. Xavier's emerald eyes locked onto him with that familiar cocky expression, sharp enough to make anyone nervous. It felt as though he was looking straight through Harlan's skin and into his thoughts.
"Yes… I'm coming," Harlan answered quietly.
He glanced around for somewhere to step in, but before he could move, Asher swam closer with a grin spreading across his face.
"Not with those clothes," Asher said shamelessly. "Get in here properly, Harlan. It's not hard."
