Oliver himself had refused any wine. He was adamant about not drinking, and though Asher eventually let it go, Harlan gave in. His lips curved around the glass as he drank greedily. Oliver couldn't believe he actually drank from it.
Harlan let his guard down, and what surprised Oliver more was when Harlan shifted focus.
"Young Master Oliver here should know the most about all this. He's the one who stayed longer than me."
Just like that, Oliver's secret was out. He couldn't even show anger — Asher would notice and eventually ask why. His biggest regret was ever mentioning his time in the clan. For reasons he couldn't name, he wished he hadn't.
