Chapter 241 - Chapter 240: A Cast of Villains?

Mo Xin Σ ( ゚ ∀ ゚ ノ )ノ: "Ah, hello... wait, no, what the hell?!"

Yunli: (ノ_<.)

Acheron: (๑•.•๑)

Hearing the name of her Senior Sister, Mo Xin could basically confirm that the other party was an Otherworlder.

But still... what was with this "two years old" thing?

Facing Mo Xin's confusion, Acheron spoke softly and patiently.

"Objectively speaking, Stelle is indeed not lying."

"No, but that's just too absurd!"

Out of her trust in Sister Acheron, Mo Xin tried to accept this fact...

Yeah, right!

She widened her eyes, her face filled with disbelief as she looked the young girl before her up and down.

The two of them were almost identical in height and build, but the girl's silver hair, shimmering with a cold luster, and those amber eyes that seemed to hold melted honey exuded an innate sense of refinement.

Upon closer inspection, Mo Xin couldn't help but feel a subtle sense of defeat deep inside.

This girl's features and figure actually seemed to be just a little more outstanding than her own!

Mo Xin (*゚ロ゚)!!: "A long-lived-species loli master is already absurd enough, but isn't this two-year-old beautiful young girl taking things a little too far?!"

Is this what another world is like? Is this the so-called "the world is full of wonders"?!

While Mo Xin was questioning reality in front of the young girl, the handover between Acheron and Yunli continued.

"Then I'll leave Stelle to you."

"Oh, alright then."

Seeing Sister Acheron take a step forward, Mo Xin unconsciously clenched her fists so tightly that her nails nearly dug into her palms. Her voice trembled without her even realizing it.

"Sister Acheron, wait... are you... are you also from another world, just like Stelle?"

In fact, the answer had already been hinted at.

The relationship between Sister Acheron, Stelle, and Robin all pointed toward the same conclusion, like interconnected clues in a web.

Even so...

She still wanted to hear Sister Acheron confirm it herself.

As soon as the words left her mouth, Acheron's footsteps came to an abrupt halt.

She turned slightly, half of her face concealed in the shadows.

"Hmm. Based on your understanding, I indeed do not belong to this world."

Hearing Sister Acheron's confirmation, Mo Xin felt her mind go buzz.

The expression on her face froze completely. Disbelief overflowed from her eyes, and even the corners of her mouth trembled uncontrollably.

She had never imagined that the familiar Sister Acheron had been hiding such an identity all along.

The shock came far too suddenly, leaving her unable to process it.

Reality was more absurd than fiction, and those bizarre settings she had only ever read about in books were actually unfolding right beside her.

Looking at Mo Xin's dazed expression, as though her mind had turned to mush, Acheron's gaze softened ever so slightly.

She raised a hand, her cool fingertips gently rubbing the top of Mo Xin's head.

"Dreams originally have no meaning. It is the colors of life beneath them that give them meaning. Remember to take good care of yourself."

As her words fell, her expression quickly returned to its usual indifference.

The crisp tapping of high heels echoed against the pavement, one step after another, gradually fading into the end of the street.

...

"Hey, they're already far away. Stop staring."

No one knew how much time had passed before Yunli's voice gently broke through Mo Xin's daze.

She snapped back to reality, lowering her head to meet Yunli's searching gaze as her fingers unconsciously scratched at her hair.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought."

After accidentally learning Sister Acheron's true identity today, Mo Xin felt as though a pebble had been dropped into her heart, sending ripples of confusion spreading throughout her mind and leaving her feeling strangely awkward.

But recalling Sister Acheron's words from just now—words that were difficult to fully understand, yet carried that uniquely familiar rhythm—the panic in her heart gradually subsided.

The breeze gently brushed against her face.

Mo Xin suddenly smiled.

It turned out that nothing had changed.

Sister Acheron was still their Sister Acheron.

Just as Mo Xin was immersed in those thoughts, the mood-killer arrived.

Stelle (๑•̌.•̑๑)ˀ̣ˀ̣: "So... what exactly did Acheron mean?"

Mo Xin (●—●): Did you really have to ask?

...

After successfully ruining the atmosphere, Stelle simply started introducing herself again.

She greeted her earnestly.

"Hello, March 7th! Please take care of me from now on!"

Mo Xin raised an eyebrow and reached out to pinch Stelle's cheek.

"How many times do I have to tell you?! I'm not March 7th! My name is Mo Xin!"

For the rest of the journey, the three of them continued walking while Stelle and Mo Xin chatted back and forth.

Surprisingly, the topics between them matched quite well.

"Stelle, do you know Sister Acheron's origins?" Mo Xin asked softly, her voice carrying a trace of barely concealed curiosity.

Stelle tilted her head and thought seriously.

"I'm not very sure. I only know that, for the sake of her goal, Acheron has always wandered the universe alone."

"Eh?!!"

Mo Xin froze.

A complicated emotion welled up inside her heart.

She admired such solitary courage, yet at the same time felt a faint sense of melancholy for Sister Acheron.

Having lived together with her own sister since childhood, she understood that feeling all too well.

Walking alone through the galaxy...

What an unimaginably lonely and endless journey that must be.

"Yeah... but Acheron feels a little different now than she used to."

Stelle murmured, seemingly without much thought.

Hearing that, Mo Xin's footsteps paused almost imperceptibly before a faint smile slowly spread across her lips.

Just then, she couldn't help but glance sideways at Stelle, her eyes filled with irrepressible curiosity.

"What about you? You wouldn't happen to have some incredible identity too, would you?"

Everything that had happened today had sent Mo Xin's curiosity soaring.

Her previous questions hadn't even been answered yet, and now she couldn't help but throw another one at Stelle.

Stelle immediately puffed out her chest, planted her hands on her hips, and proudly declared in a loud voice,

Stelle (⌐■‿■): "I am the Trailblazer of the Astral Express—the Galactic Baseballer!"

Mo Xin (๑°⌓°๑): "Wha...I...sorta understand the first part... but what's with this Galactic Baseballer?"

Seeing Mo Xin's utterly bewildered expression, Stelle smiled smugly.

Without another word, she directly summoned her trusty partner.

The next second, a baseball bat with a cold metallic sheen suddenly appeared in her hand.

Blue-violet currents of Destruction energy slithered across the bat like living creatures, crackling and hissing as arcs of electricity burst through the air.

With a casual flick of her wrist, Stelle spun the bat effortlessly in her palm.

The wind it stirred fluttered the hem of her clothes, and her flashy, cool demeanor seemed to proclaim her overwhelming confidence.

"As the saying goes, Rules are indeed made to be broken!!"

Listening to Stelle's ridiculous declaration, the corners of Mo Xin's mouth twitched uncontrollably.

She subconsciously glanced at the dazzling baseball bat in Stelle's hand, crackling with electricity...

Then fell silent.

Good heavens.

One after another, every single one of them had some extraordinary ability!

At this point, Mo Xin was even more convinced that she had somehow received the protagonist's script.

There was no other explanation.

After all, there wasn't a single ordinary person around her.

Master Yunli, who could split the heavens with a single sword.

Sister Acheron, who wandered the universe alone.

And now...

A Galactic Baseballer had shown up.

Wait.

Since Sister Acheron was...

Could it be that everyone in the family had some kind of hidden identity?!

Is this some kind of "A Cast of Villains" storyline?!

Mo Xin (゚ρ゚): Impossible, absolutely impossible! At the very least, my older sister has to be an ordinary person! Otherwise, how am I supposed to show off in front of her?!
