On the way back, Sora noticed that Tsunade had been unusually quiet, so he turned to Shizune and asked softly, "What happened just now?"
Shizune glanced at Tsunade before answering quietly.
"After the battle between Orochimaru and the Third Hokage, Orochimaru's hands were disabled by the Third's technique, and he came to ask Lady Tsunade to treat him."
She paused before continuing, "The condition he offered was to resurrect the loved ones Lady Tsunade lost."
Two words immediately appeared in Sora's mind.
Puppets.
This so-called resurrection was nothing more than a puppet-like revival, manipulated by the caster. It was not true resurrection at all.
If it were real resurrection, Tsunade might have agreed, but after seeing such techniques before, she would know that it was nothing more than a cruel mockery.
Sora now understood why Tsunade had been so silent.
If he were in her position, he would probably feel the same.
Even if it was only a puppet resurrection, it would still stir emotions in one's heart. Even while feeling anger, it was difficult to completely let go.
When they returned to the hotel, Sora said calmly, "Shizune, go rest and leave this to me."
Shizune nodded and replied, "I'll leave everything to you."
She did not want to see Tsunade like this either.
Sora's presence had finally brought Tsunade's spirit back to life, yet Orochimaru's words had reopened the wounds in her heart and rubbed salt into them.
It would be strange if Tsunade were unaffected.
However, Shizune knew she could not help much, so she could only rely on Sora.
She quietly went to prepare food while secretly remaining vigilant in case Orochimaru attempted something again.
~
Inside the room, Tsunade sat on the floor with an unfocused gaze and said quietly, "You already know everything."
Sora nodded slightly.
He walked behind Tsunade and gently pulled her into his arms.
At that moment, Tsunade was no longer the princess of the Senju Clan, no longer one of the legendary Sannin, and no longer the powerful woman admired by countless people.
At this moment, she was simply a wounded and lonely woman.
Tsunade leaned against Sora's chest as if she had finally found something to rely on and asked softly, "What do you think I should do?"
Sora held her tightly and replied calmly, "I won't choose for you."
He continued quietly, "No matter what choice you make, I will only do one thing, and that is stay by your side forever."
Tsunade did not speak immediately.
She slowly raised her head and looked at Sora.
A strange and unfamiliar light appeared in her eyes.
Sora looked down at her with firm determination in his gaze.
After a moment, Tsunade suddenly burst into laughter.
The heaviness and confusion in her heart seemed to disappear instantly.
She smiled and said, "You're still the same."
Sora nodded calmly and replied, "On this point, I will never change."
People could change.
Even he would change.
But there was one thing that would never change.
He would always stay beside the woman in his arms.
Tsunade did not say anything more.
She slowly raised her head again and, under Sora's surprised yet calm gaze, took the initiative to kiss him.
It was not their first kiss.
Compared to before, both of them were far more familiar with each other now.
They kissed deeply for several minutes before finally separating.
Neither of them spoke afterward.
They simply held each other quietly, feeling each other's warmth, security, comfort, and happiness.
Several hours passed before they finally separated and walked out of the room.
~
Shizune had already prepared the meal and was waiting outside.
She looked somewhat anxious.
When she saw Tsunade walk out looking completely normal again, without the pain and sorrow from earlier, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Although she knew Tsunade would eventually calm down and make the correct decision even without Sora's help, Orochimaru's sudden appearance had still shaken her emotionally.
Fortunately, Sora's presence allowed Tsunade to recover much faster.
Shizune was never worried that Tsunade would fail to recover.
She was only worried that Tsunade might remain sad for too long.
Seeing Tsunade return to her usual energetic self made her extremely happy.
While eating, Shizune asked, "Lady Tsunade, how do you plan to deal with Orochimaru?"
Tsunade replied calmly, "I won't agree to him."
She continued, "Back then I didn't interfere in the battle between Orochimaru and the Third Hokage because I didn't want to take sides.
One of them was my teacher, and the other was my comrade who fought beside me through life and death."
"If I helped either side, it would have been unfair." She sighed slightly before continuing.
"Besides, both of them had already changed, just like I changed after leaving Konaha. I don't want to involve myself in their conflict.
If I were to interfere now and treat Orochimaru's injuries, then I might as well have helped the Third Hokage kill him from the beginning."
Sora said calmly, "With Orochimaru's personality, if you refuse him he will probably resort to force, because he has already tried bribery."
Tsunade snorted coldly, "He wouldn't dare."
Her eyes flashed with killing intent as she continued.
"Even at his peak I never feared him. Now his hands are disabled and he cannot use ninjutsu, so he is even less of a match for me."
"The situation has completely reversed." She clenched her fist slightly and said coldly.
"He once tried to exploit my fear of blood in Konaha, but if he dares to try anything now, I will not hesitate to kill him while he is weakened."
Once the decision had been made, everything became simple.
If Orochimaru attempted anything, Sora and Shizune would deal with Yakushi Kabuto together.
With the two of them working together, it would be difficult for Kabuto to escape.
Orochimaru himself would naturally be handled by Tsunade.
~
Tsunade suddenly noticed the sword on Sora's back.
She reached out and took it before examining it carefully.
"It's definitely this sword," she said.
She continued, "Countless powerful enemies died under this blade when it was wielded by my grandfather. The killing intent and sharpness it carries are not something an ordinary weapon could possess.
It can definitely stand against Orochimaru's Kusanagi Sword."
Tsunade ran her fingers lightly across the blade.
"Even after countless battles, including the legendary battle at the Valley of the End, this sword has never been damaged.
Among the weapons that still exist today, very few can surpass it."
She handed the blade of Slaughter back to Sora.
Sora nodded slightly and said, "By the way, I also brought back some ores from there."
He continued calmly, "Since they were collected by the Senju Clan, they should not be ordinary materials."
"Although this sword has never shown a single scratch, I still brought them back just in case it ever needs reforging or maintenance."
