Everyone in the arena was shocked and buzzing with excitement.
Many felt that this trip had truly been worth it. However, these voices sounded particularly grating to Uchiha Sasuke.
He should have been the one showcasing the strength of the Uchiha Clan's genius in the arena and making everyone recognize the power of the Uchiha.
Yet now he could only watch from the sidelines.
Watching someone who had once been the dead last in his eyes receive treatment that he himself could only look up to made the feeling unbearable.
If that were the only thing, he might have endured it.
But what he found most unacceptable was why Sora and Naruto could receive such excellent instruction from great teachers and possess such unbelievable luck.
While he, the genius of the Uchiha with the powerful Sharingan, could only struggle bitterly.
This mentality had already become somewhat pathological after the devastation caused by his brother, Uchiha Itachi.

Gamabunta's blade slashed downward.
If he had not been concerned about this being Konaha Village, he might have been far more reckless, and the destruction would have spread much further.
Now they were confined within the arena. While the arena was enormous to others, for Gamabunta a single leap could cross it entirely.
"Is this really something human strength can withstand?" Many people stared at Gamabunta's terrifying strike. Even those who had been confident that Sora would win began to hesitate.
"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet."
Sora leaped into the air, easily dodging Gamabunta's sword slash while simultaneously releasing a blazing stream of flames.
"Naruto!" Gamabunta shouted.
The strength of a summoned beast did not only lie in its own power, but also in its coordination with its summoner.
Although Naruto did not yet know any combination jutsu, the pressure created by the two of them working together was even greater than what Kakashi alone could produce.
"Leave it to me, Boss!" Naruto shouted as he immediately charged forward with a ragengan.
Do not be fooled by the ragengan's small size.
The twisting and rotating destructive force it produced actually pulled and restrained the Fire Dragon Flame Bullet, buying time for Gamabunta.
"Water Release: Blast Wave!"
A massive sphere of water composed of dense chakra blasted toward Sora in mid-air like a cannonball.
With no obvious path to dodge, it seemed impossible to escape.
Just when everyone believed Sora was trapped, a scorching aura appeared in his palm.
Then, accompanied by a red glow, a rotating sphere of energy resembling a miniature sun condensed within his hand.
"Is that… a ragengan infused with Fire Nature Transformation?" Kakashi Hatake's eyes widened as he spoke in shock.
"That kid is a genius—no, he's a monster."
Those words made Sasuke's expression turn even darker. If Sora was considered a monster, then what did that make Sasuke? Nothing at all.
"Be evaporated!" Sora roared as he thrust forward with the blazing spiral.
Gamabunta's chakra reserves were enormous.
Even the most ordinary Water Release techniques he used possessed terrifying power.
A normal Fire Release technique could never block it.
Only an S-Rank secret technique capable of overwhelming it could forcefully evaporate the attack.
"This is troublesome," Gamabunta thought to himself.
"This kid Sora is extremely strong and seems to have an endless supply of S-Rank secret techniques."
"We can't lose either, Boss!" Naruto shouted.
Naruto immediately created dozens of Shadow Clones to pin Sora down while simultaneously trying to give Gamabunta an opening for a long-range surprise attack.
"Water Release: Blast Wave!"
Seeing the Shadow Clones restraining Sora, Gamabunta began launching powerful water blasts while galloping across the arena.
However, Sora skillfully used the blazing spiral to block every single one of them.
"This can't continue," Sora thought calmly.
"One opponent is Gamabunta with massive chakra reserves, and the other is the Nine-Tails jinchuriki, a cockroach that simply refuses to die.
If the two of them fight me together, I definitely cannot win a battle of pure chakra attrition. In that case, I'll have to do this."
Even Sora could not maintain an S-Rank secret technique indefinitely. Although his chakra had increased significantly, it was not limitless.
"Naruto, throw more exploding tags!" Gamabunta shouted as he spat another massive stream of toad oil.
Naruto immediately responded by throwing out multiple exploding tags at once.
The enormous volume of toad oil quickly spread across almost the entire arena, leaving Sora with nowhere to hide.
"I don't believe you can continuously perform S-Rank secret techniques at your current level," Gamabunta thought.
If Sora were a Kage-level expert—or even a jonin—he would not push him this hard.
But since Sora was only a Chunin, he did not believe that he and the Nine-Tails jinchuriki together could not outlast him.
His plan was simple: exhaust all of Sora's chakra, and victory would be theirs.
"Sora is in danger now," Asuma Sarutobi said as he watched the battlefield.
"Gamabunta's strength is more than enough to rival a jonin. With Naruto's cooperation, Sora could actually lose."
"Not necessarily," Kurenai Yuhi replied calmly.
"Since Sora is Tsunade's disciple, he should also have a summoned beast. If he summons it, Naruto will lose his only advantage."
While the jonin were discussing their opinions, Sora was about to be swallowed by the incoming Toad Oil Flame Bullet.
"Impressive, Gamabunta, but did you really think you could defeat me with just this?"
Facing the massive wave of flames rushing toward him, Sora did not show the slightest panic.
Instead, it almost seemed as if he were the one attacking rather than defending.
"Rampage!"
With a single thought, a red glow flashed across Sora's eyes.
Then he stomped heavily on the ground and, instead of retreating, charged directly into the Toad Oil Flame Bullet.
