Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Battle with Haku

"Burst forth!"

Uchiha Sasuke roared in his heart as chakra erupted from his legs, instantly pushing his speed to the limit and even making him slightly faster than Haku.

And the two immediately began clashing repeatedly across the suspension bridge.

In the end, it was the slightly faster Sasuke who kicked Haku away, although Haku clearly had not used his full strength.

"This student of mine is quite impressive, because he's the Rookie of the Year in Konaha, so if you underestimate him, the consequences won't be pleasant," Kakashi Hatake said calmly.

If he had not already heard from Sora that Haku had a habit of showing mercy to opponents and rarely attacked with lethal intent, Kakashi might have believed Haku's strength was only at this level.

However, after observing carefully, Kakashi realized that although Haku appeared to be suppressed.

His breathing remained calm and steady even after taking several hits, as if the person being attacked was not him at all.

"Haku, if you keep holding back like this, you'll die," Zabuza said coldly.

"Yes, I'm truly sorry, but this time I have no choice," Haku replied while forming hand seals, "Secret Technique: Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals."

"So this is Ice Release, and it truly is spectacular, worthy of the Mizuki Clan's Bloodline Limit," Kakashi Hatake said as his expression changed slightly.

Because he could clearly tell that although Haku had not yet used his full strength, this technique alone was already enough to kill Sasuke.

Since Sora had not arrived yet, Kakashi had no choice but to move immediately.

However, Zabuza suddenly appeared in front of him using the Body Flicker Technique, blocking his path.

"Heh, Kakashi, our previous battle was interrupted, but today your opponent is me," Zabuza sneered.

"Now I will show you my true speed," Haku said as he merged into the ice mirrors one by one.

Sasuke could not react at all and was quickly covered in wounds from the overwhelming barrage of senbon.

The confidence he had gained from his recent improvement vanished instantly, and he crouched on the ground like a wounded beast while enduring Haku's attacks.

He wanted to fight back, but the problem was that he could not even see how Haku was attacking.

Other than passively enduring the pain and waiting for death, he had no other option.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

A voice suddenly rang out as a massive fireball blasted forward, instantly destroying several ice mirrors.

At the same time, a figure appeared in front of Sasuke and casually kicked him away so he landed beside Sakura Haruno.

"The battle ahead isn't something you can participate in, so just watch from the side," Sora said calmly.

Sora had arrived at the critical moment. He glanced briefly at Kakashi Hatake, who was confronting Zabuza nearby.

"I'm a bit late, but it seems I arrived just in time."

"According to the original plan, I'll deal with Zabuza and the Ice Release boy is yours," Kakashi said with clear relief, finally able to focus completely on fighting Zabuza.

"Hmph, Haku, kill him," Zabuza ordered.

As soon as he spoke, Zabuza vanished into the thick mist. Kakashi immediately activated his Sharingan and began his fierce battle with Zabuza.

"It seems you were the one who injured Lord Zabuza earlier, so I have no choice but to kill you," Haku said coldly.

For the first time, Haku revealed true killing intent toward Sora. Unlike when he fought Sasuke, he no longer held back and instead used his full strength.

"Going all out, huh, that makes things interesting," Sora thought as he watched Haku carefully.

"Then let me see how strong you are when you fight seriously."

"Ha!" Haku shouted coldly as countless senbon appeared instantly around him, shooting forward like a storm of bullets and making it almost impossible to dodge.

The broken ice mirrors also reformed immediately, showing that Haku was truly serious this time.

"Water Release: Water Formation Wall!"

Sora shouted as a curtain of water instantly surrounded him, blocking every incoming senbon.

"I want to see how much chakra you have to maintain this," Haku said as his attacks continued without pause.

"Hmph." Sora sneered.

A water dragon suddenly surged up from the sea beneath the bridge and smashed violently into the ice mirrors from the outside.

"Secret Technique: Thousand Flying Water Needles of Death," Haku said calmly.

Countless senbon suddenly shot out in every direction in a full circle.

Sora quickly dodged the attack, although the water dragon had already destroyed several ice mirrors.

"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"

Sora unleashed a powerful high-level fire technique that instantly burned away the remaining ice mirrors.

The battle between the two was extremely intense.

Even the thick mist could not hide the massive explosions of chakra, leaving Sakura Haruno and the others watching nervously.

"Why? Why is the gap between me, a genius, and them so huge?" Sasuke thought unwillingly.

"Is this all the strength you have?" Sora asked calmly as he threw a powerful punch.

Haku, having lost the protection of the ice mirrors, remained calm.

He lightly stepped on the ground, and countless senbon instantly appeared.

Sora's pupils contracted as he stomped on the ground and used the recoil force of Heavenly Foot of Pain, instantly retreating dozens of meters and barely dodging the attack.

"Your power is so astonishing that how could I possibly not guard against it?" Haku said softly.

"Then let me see how you defend against this," Sora replied coldly.

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"

"Water Release: Water Formation Wall!"

Haku's hand seal speed was not much slower than Sora's.

Water clashed against water, and the suspension bridge area quickly flooded as the battlefield turned into a rushing river.

"Just as Sora said, because Haku possesses the Ice Release Bloodline Limit, his Water Release is also extremely strong, and since he's filled with killing intent now, he won't hold back anymore.

If Sasuke or Naruto had faced him earlier, they would definitely have died," Kakashi Hatake thought while fighting Zabuza.

Sora excelled in both Fire Release and Water Release, but Haku's Ice Release was a combination of Wind Release and Water Release.

Therefore, Haku's wind and water techniques were also extremely strong, meaning Sora did not have a clear advantage in ordinary ninjutsu.

After all, Haku came from the Hidden Mist Village, which specialized in Water Release techniques.

Even though he had not been trained by the Mizuki Clan and had to develop Ice Release on his own, Zabuza had personally trained him.

As a result, Haku's Water Release was extremely powerful.

For a moment, even Sora could not easily defeat him.

"Uzumaki Naruto makes his entrance!"

Suddenly, a shuriken flew toward the battlefield.

Haku slightly shifted his body to dodge the attack and flicked his hand. Dozens of senbon instantly shot out and turned Naruto into a human pincushion.

"Idiot, don't get in the way," Sora said as he kicked Naruto toward Sasuke.

Although Naruto's intentions were good, he would only become a burden in this battle.

Right now, Sora and Kakashi were cooperating, and unless it was the final moment, Sora could not allow Kakashi's students to die.

Otherwise, their cooperation would collapse, and Kakashi might even turn against him.

Sora had no intention of letting all his previous efforts go to waste, so he decisively kicked Naruto away from the battlefield.
