Alarms blared across the facility, sharp and frantic. Red lights flashed, bathing the area in an urgent red glow. Guards shouted into their radios, voices overlapping in panic.
"Report! I need a report NOW!"
"It's—it's disappearing! The oil is disappearing!"
"Where is it going?!"
The ground trembled again, stronger this time.
Another tank shuddered violently, then collapsed just like the first.
Then another. And another.
Multiple structures caved in at once, metal folding, concrete cracking, entire reservoirs being erased as though the earth itself had opened its mouth and swallowed them whole.
Across the country, the reaction was immediate and explosive.
A woman screamed, dropping her phone as she stumbled backward. In a crowded bar, glasses shattered as people surged to their feet, eyes glued to the screens.
"This is real… this is actually real…"
"No way. No way that's real. That has to be fake."
"It's live! Look at the feed—it's LIVE!"
"Turn it up! Turn it up!"
