The three black-clad attackers struck Renji directly with their blades and a large cloud of dust rose from the ground.
"Foolish man. You dared to lower your guard. First we eliminate the foolish Jonin, then the remaining trash will be easy to handle," one of the black-clad attackers sneered.
They were certain Renji was dead.
Even a Jonin was still human.
How could flesh withstand blades?
And they clearly felt their attacks hit his body.
"Teacher Renji!"
All members of Team 7 shouted in alarm.
Tazuna collapsed onto the ground with a pale face and muttered hopelessly, "It's over."
He believed Renji's careless attitude allowed the ambush to succeed.
"If I said I was fine, you would probably be very embarrassed, wouldn't you? I apologize for ruining such a good atmosphere."
Renji said calmly as he blew lightly on his hands still inside his pockets and scattered the smoke with Wind Release.
He stood there completely unharmed.
Not even his clothes were damaged.
"Ho... how is that possible!"
The three black-clad attackers froze in shock.
They clearly felt their blades hit him.
How could he be unharmed?
How could flesh withstand ninja weapons?
"Don't be so shocked. Your expressions right now are very unmanly," Renji said as he pulled one hand from his pocket and crooked a finger toward them.
"Keep attacking. Explaining would be too troublesome, so I'll let you experience it again."
"Arrogant fellow!" the three attackers sneered as they prepared to strike again.
It was their first time seeing a ninja allow enemies to attack freely.
In that case they would make him pay for his arrogance.
"Then pay the price!" one attacker shouted as he leapt forward and swung his scythe toward Renji's neck.
Renji calmly raised a finger and blocked the scythe.
"How is that possible? Is this Chakra?" the attacker shouted as he pushed with all his strength but still could not cut through Renji's finger.
He noticed faint blue Chakra covering Renji's fingertip.
"See? That's what it is," Renji said as he flicked his finger lightly.
Cracks spread across the scythe before it shattered into pieces and fell to the ground.
"To be honest, I'm a little sorry. My power is beyond your comprehension," Renji said calmly as he looked down at the attacker with a condescending expression.
Ah.
He forgot to test elementalization.
He originally planned to test the Rumble-Rumble Fruit elementalization ability.
But the enemy's attacks were too weak.
He blocked them casually without thinking.
"You... you're a monster!" the attacker shouted as he tried to retreat.
"Don't run so far. Taking two steps would be troublesome," Renji said as he grabbed the attacker by the neck.
"You..." the attacker began to speak but could not finish.
Renji tightened his fingers slightly.
Crack.
The attacker's neck snapped instantly.
He spat out blood before his head tilted lifelessly.
"This..." Tazuna stared at the dead attacker in shock.
Not only Tazuna.
Everyone present was stunned.
Renji was actually this strong?
