POV: ENZO
Enzo sat in his car three blocks from Isabella's hotel, his phone vibrating in his hand.
A text from one of his men.
The waiter has been taken care of. Body will be discovered in approximately five minutes. No trace back to us.
Enzo closed his eyes, felt the weight of what he'd just done.
He'd ordered a man killed.
A twenty-three-year-old kid who'd made a stupid mistake for three hundred dollars.
Dead.
Because Enzo needed him silent.
Because protecting Isabella meant eliminating witnesses.
Because love....or whatever this twisted thing he felt for her was, made him do terrible things.
Enzo deleted the message and started the car.
