Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Sent Flying + Dropped to the Floor

"A 'Look-Back Steal' steal and a 'Look-Back Steal' block—Blake Su's unexpected steal-and-block combo is truly something special!"

Mike Breen praised with a smile.

"Absolutely."

Van Gundy nodded and chuckled.

"As a center with such a unique style, even the way he gets steals and blocks is distinctive.

The key point is—

It's incredibly effective."

On the court.

That unexpected look-back block not only stopped Wall from scoring, but the ball Blake Su swatted away bounced down off Wall's body and rolled out of bounds.

Suns ball.

"What the hell was that?"

Wall was completely speechless.

He couldn't understand what kind of defense Blake Su had just pulled off—nor could he accept the fact that he had clearly shaken Blake Su off, yet still got blocked.

Possession changed.

The Suns pushed the ball up the floor.

Wall immediately picked up Blake Su again and started pressuring him from the start, sticking close and denying him any chance to simply shoot over him using the height advantage.

In response—

Blake Su lowered the ball in front of him while leaning his head and shoulders forward, physically nudging against Wall's tight defense and forcing out just a sliver of space.

Just a tiny gap—

But it was enough.

Whoosh!

Blake Su rose straight up and launched another three-pointer right over Wall.

"Hah!"

Wall shouted as he jumped with everything he had to contest.

But…

Blake Su was simply too tall.

A full 22-centimeter (about 0.72 feet) height difference. Combined with the lightning-fast release of his [Peak Curry Three-Point shot] ability—

Wall simply couldn't block it.

Swish!

Caught off guard, Wall turned back in disbelief as the ball sliced through the net.

Nothing but net.

"Right in Wall's face! Blake Su's three-pointer is just ridiculous!"

"And the scary part? It keeps going in!"

That's right.

Curry-style threes were already unreasonable.

Add Blake Su's height advantage on top of that—

And it became downright unfair.

The next possession.

Wall tried to attack again but was stopped by Blake Su once more.

In transition, Blake Su caught the ball at the left high post and rose for a mid-range jumper right over Wall's head.

This time Wall read it early.

He anticipated the shot perfectly and jumped to contest in advance—if Blake Su released it normally, it would almost certainly be a block.

But—

Blake Su relied on his absolute height advantage and released the ball from an absurdly high point.

"You've got to be kidding me!"

Wall roared.

But the louder he shouted—

The clearer the sound of the net snapping.

Swish!

Another make.

That completely unreasonable shot pushed Wall over the edge.

He shouted angrily at Blake Su.

"Blake Su! Do you dare fight me with real skill?!"

"Huh?"

Blake Su looked confused.

How was this not real skill?

Wall glared and continued shouting.

"Do you dare shoot without relying on your height advantage?! Do you dare drive straight through my defense and score?!"

"Oh."

Blake Su finally understood.

Wall was getting desperate after being shot over repeatedly.

Anyone who dared openly provoke Blake Su had better be ready to pay the price.

Looking at the slightly flustered Wall across the court, Blake Su replied calmly:

"Sure."

Beep!

After Nick Young pushed the ball up the court, Coach Saunders called a timeout.

Wizards 3 : 13 Suns.

After Curry opened the game with a three-pointer, Blake Su scored ten straight points on Wall.

That ten-point gap forced the Wizards to call timeout.

At the commentary table—

Van Gundy glanced at the stats.

"Blake Su is 4-for-4 with 10 straight points. Wall is 0-for-4 with zero points. The gap between them is obvious."

"Exactly."

Mike Breen added:

"Wall had a breakout game last night, but at the end of the day, he's still just a rookie.

Meanwhile, Blake Su is a generational super rookie.

Still—

Let's keep watching. The game has just begun."

As they spoke—

The timeout ended.

Play resumed.

Swish!

Right after the timeout, Young pulled up from the left wing.

A hesitation step into a sudden rise—launching a three-pointer right in Carter's face.

Release.

Swish!

Nothing but net.

A direct answer for the Wizards.

Steve Nash inbounded from the baseline and passed to Curry to bring the ball up, seemingly hoping he'd answer back.

But—

Curry didn't seem interested.

He pushed the ball forward and handed it to Blake Su.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

At the top of the arc.

Blake Su faced Wall again.

Crossovers one after another as he searched for rhythm while reading the defense.

The moment the ball settled in his right hand—

He burst right.

A quick first step.

Wall slid sideways to keep up.

Screech!

Blake Su stopped abruptly and pulled the ball back between his legs.

But Wall reacted instantly.

Overcoming his own momentum, he turned and accelerated to catch up again.

However—

Whoosh!

Blake Su crossed over again and accelerated a second time.

His change of pace instantly shook Wall clean.

Screech!

Wall snorted coldly.

His elite athleticism let him force himself to recover again, shoes screeching as he chased back.

Screech!

But Blake Su suddenly stopped and rose for a jumper.

Wall's momentum had already carried him forward.

He couldn't stop in time—

And was sent flying past Blake Su toward the basket.

Swish!

Blake Su calmly knocked down the mid-range jumper.

"WOW—!"

Gasps erupted across the stands.

Fans stared wide-eyed in disbelief.

"Where's your defense?"

Blake Su looked calmly at Wall, who was stumbling as he tried to regain his balance.

"Tch."

Wall snorted.

"Again!"

Blake Su only smiled.

The next possession—

He faced Wall once more.

Crossovers as he read the defense…

Then—

Whoosh!

Blake Su drove.

One step past.

Sudden stop.

Pull back.

Then another burst forward.

The exact same rhythm change as the previous move.

But—

That continuous change of pace combined with Blake Su's speed shook Wall again.

Screech!

Blake Su stopped and rose for another jumper.

"Damn it!!!"

Realizing he'd been beaten by the same move again, Wall roared and lunged forward, determined to block the shot.

But—

His balance was already gone.

Trying to twist his body mid-air caused his feet to tangle.

Thud!

Wall crashed hard onto the floor.

Swish!

At the exact same moment—

Blake Su's shot dropped cleanly through the net.

Then—

BOOM!

The arena erupted with cheers and roaring applause like a tidal wave.
