Serena Blackwood knew Elias loved good food.
With so many delicate desserts and pastries laid out across the reception hall, there was no way he could hold himself back for long. So when his eyes lit up and he wanted to go over, Serena simply let him.
Besides, after that small incident just now, after someone had nearly connected Elias to the Hart family in front of him, unease had begun to settle in Serena's chest.
