Elias's lips parted slightly.
He clearly wanted to say something, but in the end, he swallowed the words back.
Only after the two students had walked far enough away did he whip his head around and glare at Giselle Frost.
Giselle knew exactly what he was thinking.
His eyes were wide, his cheeks faintly tense, and there was an almost puffed-up anger in the way he stared at her. He looked so furious that it circled back around into something unexpectedly cute.
The corner of Giselle's mouth lifted before she could stop it.
She smiled faintly. "Do you remember what I said? We're…"
"Get lost!"
Elias stomped once, furious enough that even the movement looked spoiled. Then he turned and walked away at once, his steps quick and sharp.
As he walked, he muttered under his breath, "Are they blind? What's so good about her? What makes them think she's good enough for me?"
Giselle's voice sounded beside him.
