On the radar, more and more mystical creatures were appearing, but they were all concentrated at a single point. Most of the DV Army soldiers were dispatched there, led by Wirtz.
Strangely enough, a few moments later, a dimensional portal opened. Not just one, but three-dimensional portals opened at the same spot. The troops led by Wirtz were undoubtedly overwhelmed by the sheer number of mystical creatures emerging from the dimensional portals.
"Ready!" said Taffie as she communicated over the radio.
"We've been asked to assist Wirtz's troops. Jyu, close those dimensional portals," Taffie explained again.
Quickly, Jyu, along with Sizhi and Taffie, headed there. From a distance, Jyu immediately closed the dimensional portals; now the mystical creatures could no longer enter the human realm. Even so, so many mystical creatures had already appeared, and they were causing a major problem.
Upon arriving there, Wirtz and his troops were already in action. With his speed, Wirtz immediately killed many mystical creatures. Seeing this, Jyu became excited and wanted to join them.
In an instant, a black sword appeared in his hand. Now he ran among the mystical creatures. All those repulsive creatures stood still, trapped within Jyu's illusion. Since he had merged with Kuma, Jyu could control the power of illusion at will.
Quickly, Jyu dealt fatal wounds to them; in an instant, they collapsed with blood gushing onto the ground. Jyu smiled with satisfaction!
Several monsters appeared; they were nearly 4 meters tall. Their appearance was truly troublesome; ordinary attacks seemed useless. Their skin was so hard that they had to be struck with all his might to kill them.
Jyu found a new target. He leaped high into the air and transformed into a bear-like monster. His roar was so loud it startled all the soldiers. All eyes were on him; some even mistook Jyu for an enemy.
"He's our ally—it's Jyu!" Taffie shouted as several DV Army soldiers prepared to attack Jyu.
Jyu sprang into action; with the monstrous beast's immense strength, he immediately attacked that repulsive, mystical creature. The battle was heroic; with his sharp claws, Jyu easily tore into his opponent's flesh. Limbs were severed from the body, as were heads and legs. Jyu slaughtered everything!
This was a great victory.
All the DV Army soldiers cheered at this victory. They kept praising Jyu; some acted as if they were old friends. Jyu felt awkward, because in reality, he wasn't close to any of them at all.
"You're amazing, Jyu. This friend of mine is truly the best," said a man wearing a bandana whose name Jyu didn't even know.
Jyu could only smile while turning his face toward Sizhi, hoping his friend would save him. Sizhi could only stifle a laugh.
But their happiness vanished instantly when an emergency call came in. All the unit leaders immediately answered the call. It turned out that several mystical creatures had appeared at the DV Army headquarters. They seemed to be launching an assault, and unfortunately, there weren't many troops on guard there at the moment.
"Hurry back to headquarters!" shouted Wirtz.
The distance to headquarters was quite far; it would take half an hour by car. All the troops immediately drove off at full speed, except for Wirtz, who chose to run as fast as lightning.
Despite the invasion, all the DV Army troops remained calm. The reason was Master Jenna. Now that Master Jenna was at headquarters, anyone who came would surely be defeated. In fact, they assumed all enemies would be dead by the time they arrived at headquarters.
They finally arrived, but as they approached the DV Army gate, they found someone lying on the ground. Not far from him was Arabai, sitting leisurely under a withered tree.
"Wirtz!" Taffie shouted upon realizing the figure lying on the ground was Wirtz.
Just as shocked, Jyu also immediately got out of the car, his anger boiling over. The Arabai relaxing under the tree was Meito, whom he had previously defeated while at the demon's castle.
All the troops immediately wanted to approach Wirtz, but Jyu stopped them. Around Wirtz, the ground had turned barren, the trees were withering, and the air felt like thick smoke.
"I don't know if Wirtz is unconscious or dead, but this is that Arabai's power. He's a long-range fighter with poison abilities—be careful."
"We're stuck here; look around you. He's already created a poisonous fortress to keep us from entering the base. I hope nothing terrible happens in there," said Taffie.
What he said was true. A wall of poisonous smoke stretched across the entrance to the DV Army's gate. That meant no one could enter until they'd defeated Meito.
"Hey, Bear Man, we meet again. This time I'm going to fight you for real," said Meito as he walked toward the entire army.
"Let me fight him. I've fought him before, so just let me take him down," said Jyu, seeking approval from Taffie and the other troop leaders.
Jyu stepped forward alone to start the battle. "Hey, you ugly creature, did you even put on deodorant today?"
Meito just smiled, then he charged at Jyu. Of course, Jyu already knew what would happen if he got too close to Meito. That's why he used a highly effective tactic to counter him.
His black sword had appeared in his hand. Jyu slashed the ground, sending a cloud of dust billowing high into the sky. This was the most effective method to counter Meito, whose body sweat was toxic.
Jyu immediately charged forward and successfully struck Meito. His kick hit the Arabai's body, sending him flying backward quite a distance.
Jyu then immediately approached Wirtz's body and carried him to the rear. Now he was safe among the DV Army troops.
"He's dead!" someone exclaimed upon seeing Wirtz's condition.
All the DV Army troops were immediately furious, not expecting Wirtz to be defeated so easily.
Meanwhile, Wirtz's condition was truly pitiful. His body was pale, even looking dry, as if dehydrated. His eyes were wide and sharp, and white foam was oozing from the corners of his mouth. He looked like he was poisoned.
"Hahahaha! My friend is dead. He was so stupid—he knew there was poison ahead but charged right through it anyway. Don't blame me if he died; he was just too stupid," said Meito, who was now standing ready to fight again.
Jyu was furious upon seeing that Wirtz was dead. He immediately stepped forward to face Meito alone once more.
"Hey, control your emotions!" shouted Taffie, trying to remind Jyu, who was now consumed by rage.
Jyu transformed into a teddy bear, just like Kuma did long ago. He recalled Master Jenna's advice to use his transformations as effectively as possible in battle. In Jyu's opinion, the teddy bear form was the most suitable for fighting Meito.
Meanwhile, Sizhi gave Taffie a brilliant idea. He planned to fly using the power of his demon, Svider. That way, they could stay safe from the poison surrounding the DV Army.
"Let's just fly, but sorry, my demon can't carry too many people."
Taffie pondered for a moment, then said, "No! I have another plan."
