The words sent a shockwave through every Kage present.
The most terrifying thing about Akatsuki was how they appeared and vanished without a trace — yet even so, one of their members had been hiding right under the noses of the five leaders themselves.
The thought alone was chilling.
"Who is it? Where?!" The Raikage shot to his feet, fists clenched and knuckles white.
"Stop hiding in the shadows and come out so I can crush you!"
"..."
Everyone exchanged looks of exasperation.
If calling him out like that actually worked, he wouldn't be hiding in the first place…
"Just tell us who it is!"
Under the tense gaze of the entire room, Aoi walked slowly around the round table until he stopped directly in front of Killer Bee.
"The Akatsuki member is right here."
"WHAT?!"
The Kage instantly rose, ready to strike. The Raikage roared and smashed his fist straight through the table, glaring furiously at Aoi.
"Boy — what nonsense are you spouting now?!"
"What I mean is…"
Aoi activated three techniques at once: Snake Sage Mode, Lightning Armor, and the Eight Gates.
Moving faster than lightning, he reached out and seized the blade resting behind Killer Bee's back — the Samehada.
"Kisame Hoshigaki has been hiding inside this sword all along!"
The moment Aoi pulled Samehada free, Kisame knew his cover was blown.
He burst out from within the blade like a monstrous fish, opening his jaws wide to snap off Aoi's arm in one bite.
"Foolish."
Aoi smiled coldly — but before he could even react, two arms crackling with violent lightning clamped down like steel pincers over Kisame's mouth.
"Mmph! Mmmph!"
Kisame's jagged, shark‑like teeth were useless against the Raikage's hardened lightning‑reinforced flesh.
Not even a single scratch could be left.
Seeing the Raikage actually shove his arm right into someone's mouth, everyone else couldn't help but break into a cold sweat…
That is exactly how the Raikage fights!
Like a rampaging war chariot, he charged straight ahead. When he went all out, he wouldn't even flinch if an arm was cut off in the process.
Before Kisame's horrified eyes, the Raikage grabbed hold of his upper and lower jaws — and began to pull them apart, slowly but relentlessly.
The onlookers could clearly see the muscles and skin tearing, blood and flesh spraying across the floor.
It was a sight too gruesome to describe.
"Mmph — gurgle!"
Kisame struggled with every ounce of strength he had left — but the moment Aoi had exposed him, his fate was sealed.
Powerful as Kisame was, once caught off‑guard and unable to unleash his full strength, being seized by the Raikage meant certain death.
Just as in the battle where Might Guy defeated him, taijutsu was Kisame's natural counter.
And even more so — lightning techniques were the ultimate weakness of water‑style users.
Darui had used his lightning blade to subdue Suigetsu Hōzuki from Team Hawk with ease.
If that was the case, then the Raikage was far more effective against Kisame than Guy ever was.
So I suppose… he didn't really die unjustly…

"Why — how could a child like you see through me?"
Kisame's eyes burned with bitter resentment in his final moments. He could not understand how his disguise had been found out.
By all logic, his chakra signature was identical to that of Samehada — the perfect camouflage.
What gave this boy the ability to detect him?
