"Super Electromagnetic Cannon!"
A blinding white light sliced through the sea for hundreds of meters. Terrifying currents instantly vaporized hundreds of tons of water, blasting a massive gap right into the ocean.
As seawater rushed back in, fully cooked fish from the surrounding area floated slowly up to the surface…
"Power's enough—even stronger than the Golden version. Only…" Aoi scattered the now-powdered induction coils into the waves. "Still not durable enough!"
Even with alloy materials, the old problem remained: you can't have it all. Go for power, and you lose durability. Build it tough, and strength drops…
"Master Aoi, next time it will work!" Young Orochimaru looked up, pleading, hoping for another chance.
"Never mind, Orochimaru." Aoi shook his head, smiling. "I know you'll get it right one day. But I have to leave now."
Too long here, and sooner or later the Land of Birds would regroup, send troops, and wipe out the Land of Wild. All his work would be wasted.
Every craft has its master. To unite the ninja world, Aoi knew he'd need the Land of Craftsmen sooner or later.
Better to go now than wait. He made up his mind, and Orochimaru dared not stop him.
Only half a day later…
A large merchant ship set sail, heading straight for the Land of Craftsmen. Leaning against the railing, Aoi relaxed, enjoying the warm sun and sea breeze.
From what Orochimaru said, the craftsmen-ninjas there were proud and arrogant.
They looked down on ordinary shinobi, even whole small nations. Only envoys from the Five Great Nations got any decent treatment…
That was exactly why Aoi traveled by sea. He came as a purchasing agent from the Town of Dark Pearl, under the Land of Rain. Any other way, and he'd never get his hands on the right equipment.
Slow as the ship was, it was steady—perfect time to sort through everything he'd gained lately:
Two summonable salamanders, the scroll for the warrior Kikoku, the Crystal Release Kekkei Genkai, plus four hundred and eighty thousand points…
It was a huge haul. Two of those legendary beasts alone were worth it. And Crystal Release? One of the most versatile bloodline limits in the whole ninja world.
In his last world, he'd only gotten one sample, but it was worth every bit…
Crystal Release: Turns anything except chakra into solid crystal. Even living things—once crystallized—shatter into fine dust.
That alone was already overpowered. But more than that, it did everything: trap enemies, defend, seal, make clones, scout, even cast illusions…
If Yakumo Kurama's Illusion Manifestation was the most broken ability in the series, Guren's Crystal Release was easily the most complete and well-rounded.
Still, Aoi didn't plan to use it himself.
Versatile as it was, unlike Ice Release, it had almost no room to grow. No other similar abilities anywhere in the ninja world—or even in any story—could improve it further.
Worse, it was so rare that the only way to upgrade its power was to spend huge amounts in the system shop.
Without better jutsu or higher level, a Jōnin-grade bloodline limit was just… not worth keeping.
But he already knew exactly who should have it. Such beautiful, dazzling power really belonged in the hands of a girl.
