Nicholas did not know when his body moved, all he could remember was throwing blows at John until after a while the staffs decided to step in before he murder him.

The bastard deserve death....

He deserve a gruesome and painful death.

"H-How.....", he sighed in frustration as he take a look at Amelia and her daughters who were shaking in fear. "How long has this been going on?." He asked calmly.

No one said a word and he prayed in his mind that it is not true, that he did not give his sister to a monster.....That it was not his fault again.....

"Amelia!!!!"He yelled at her.

He knew that he should not considering the position he met her but he could not stop the anger from sipping out

"I asked a question?" He said in frustration. "How long?" He asked again.

"Since the beginning." She said. The tears now flowing without a stop. She just wanted the pain to stop. Amelia just wanted everything to be alright. She just wanted her younger brother to tell her that it will be alright. That she does not have to endure the cruelty anymore.

"Go inside," Nicholas said taking a deep breath before he lose his mind once more. "Or rather, Samuel!" He called out.

"My Lord." He said appearing at his side at once.

"Go inside with the head maid, ask her to pack everything she and the children will need and meet me here at once." He commanded and the young man disappeared at once.

"What do you think you are doing?." The vile bastard yelled and Nicholas knew instinctively that the only reason why he would not kill the idiot is Amelia.

"Thank your stars that the children are present and that my mother along with Benedict is not around," Nicholas began as he walk towards the man on the floor. "I am taking her away from you and that's final."

"You cannot do that." He said holding his injured or perhaps bloodied face. "She is mine by marriage."

"And she is mine by blood." Nicholas yelled.

"Society will not accept. My children deserve to be with me." He said with a sinister smile.

"Do you think I care about society?," Nicholas said as he grab the vase beside him. "If you think you can tarnish her image. Think twice." He said before throwing the vase that landed beside John's body.

The entire room went silent. No one could say a word.

"What is going on here?" Lord Curringworth—John's father asked as he entered the room.

Amelia covered her children's eyes and cower in fear once more, Lady Curringworth was no better. The woman looked as if she was about to pass out from fear.

"Amelia," Nicholas started slowly. "What did he do?" He asked.

Nicholas knew his older sister, the only time Amelia got scared when they were younger was when she had been accidentally locked in the basement all night. She had cried her eyes out and was found in a corner cowering in fear.

"Amelia!!!" He yelled, "what did they do?"

"Father," John started with a smirk. "He did not enjoy last night service and the bastard of a thing you called a sister made an heirloom go missing."

Nicholas stare at the animal in confusion.

Service?????

Last night?????.....

"She did not comply with me last night and I got angry.' John's father provided but Nicholas could only stare at the two of them in confusion.

"Amelia," Nicholas said as he glance at his older sister. "For your peace of mind, tell whatever is going on here."

"Father slept with her but she failed to do a good job." The vile bastard provided with a smile to which Amelia started crying.

"I have to say," Lord Curringworth said. "You could have picked a better option for me."

Nicholas stare at the two Curringworth in silence.

H-he had raped his sister.

Lord Curringworth, John's biological father had raped his older sister.

He had touched his sister.

Nicholas did not know when his body moved, all he could see is red, raining blows on the man and when John tried to intervene, he slammed their heads together.

The older Curringworth fainted or perhaps died from the collision—Nicholas did not bother to care. John was on the floor panting...

"Was she in on it?" Nicholas asked referring to Lady Curringworth to which Amelia nod in disapproval.

"We are going," Nicholas announced once Samuel arrived with their belongings. "Lady Curringworth as well." He added and the woman immediately moved.

"C—can....."Samuel the butler trail off and Nicholas knew the young man was asking for help in leaving the Curringworth estate.

"How many of you?" He asked.

"Eight." He said immediately.

"Get a carriage and follow us immediately." He replied.

The young man need not be told twice. None of them bothered gathering their things, it was better to leave than endure the pain.

The carriage ride was much more slow than Nicholas anticipated, his eyes filled with tears that he could not allow to fall not while the children were here.

"Nicholas." Amelia started.

"Amy, please allow me to gather my thoughts till we get home." He said and she immediately kept her mouth shut.

Meanwhile at the Harrington's estate, Lady Morribel and the Beaumont's sisters arrived to only Hazel at the house.

"He went over to Amelia's place." Hazel provided when Lady Morribel asked for Nicholas whereabouts.

"That man really has the worst timing ever." Hiliary said with a smile to which Hazel gave her a smile.

"And your sister?" Lady Morribel asked.

"She went to invite Lucia for a round of fencing." Hazel provided.

"Lucia?" Helena could not help but ask.

"Lucia Halloway, she lives a few blocks from here." She replied.

"Of course, she does." Helena responded to which Hiliary burst into a fit of laughter while Lady Morribel tried to contain her smile.

"We are here." Felicity announced to the room. Good afternoon, Lady Morribel and to you both as well." Felicity greeted as she enter the room with Lucia Halloway.

"Good afternoon to you all." Lucia greeted.

Helena could not help but fore a smile.

She did not understand why she was angry at the lady.....no....she was angry at the Viscount.

"To defend myself," Lucia said seeing the expression on Helena's face. "I told him to go over to you and explain that we are nothing more than brother and sister." She quickly defended to which the entre room burst into a fit of laughter.

"I was not jealous." Helena quickly interjected.

"You are not?," Lucia asked in confusion. "You look as though you were ready to bite my head off last night."

The entire room started with another round of laughter.

"I could have sworn that you were ready to murder me last night. Nicholas seem to be very stupid not to notice that." Lucia provided to which Hiliary seconded her.

"That man might be a viscount but he is only smart when it comes to matters regarding estate not love." Hiliary said to which Lucia confirmed.

Helena could only roll her eyes at the exchange

The conversation was cut short with with Nicholas entering the room along with everyone he had brought along.

"Amelia....." Hazel called out but stopped once she saw the state she was in.

Her face was bloody and swollen beyond recognition.

"Hazel," Nicholas called out. "Take the children inside and make sure they have their bath and Felicity inform Miss Donna that the people outside are in need of a job. Tell her to get them settled and tell her to get Lady Curringworth settled as well." Nicholas informed and the two girls immediately disappeared with Hazel going off with the children.

"Now," Nicholas said. "Shall we begin?" He asked and the room went silent.

"Lady Morribel is like a second mother to us so I know you feel comfortable with her, Lucia is a close friend of you and Catherine and I have written to you about the Beaumont family—Miss Helena and Miss Hiliary. Do you want anyone to get out before you start talking?" Nicholas demanded and she shake her head in disapproval.

"How about we get her something for face first?" Helena asked before Lucia disappeared to the kitchen and brought a towel with water to clean her bloodied.

"Who did this?" Lady Morribel asked staring at Amelia.

"J-John" she answered.

"How long?" She asked.

"The beginning." She replied making Nicholas clench his fist together.

"Was that what happened when mother came from your estate and said you fell down from the stairs." Nicholas asked referring to a past incident when Lady Harrington had visited after Marina's birth and had told the family that Amelia fell down from the stairs.

"He will ruin me if I do not go back Nico." She said, tears still streaming down from her eyes.

"You must be mad if you think you are going back to that man and his home Amelia." Nicholas yelled at her. His anger evident now.

Nicholas never yelled at Amelia but he has ended up doing it more than he can account for.

"He wil---" she started but immediately kept quiet seeing his expression.

"He will not ruin you." Lady Morribel replied.

"And what do you suggest Lady Morribel?" Hiliary Beaumont said as she turn to her.

"I do not know for now." She replied causing the room to fall silent.

"Perhaps," Helena begin. "If Lady Ravenscroft is to catch a wind of this, and write an exaggerated issue of the account in order to send him away for a short period till we can get a lasting solution to it." Helena said while staring at Amelia Harrington.

"And my mother seem like the perfect blabbermouth to do the job." Lucia Halloway said to her.

"Thank you." She said sweetly.

"Do you think it would work?" Hiliary asked with a frown.

"Have you met my mother?" Lucia asked.

"Well, she is the one person that Nicholas and Benedict always run away from when it comes to balls and the entire society hates conversing with her when it comes to matters that are discreet." Lady Morribel explained.

"She is more than capable of doing the job." Lucia said.

"Remind me to be wary of the woman." Hiliary whisper to her older sister who nodded.

"Thank you once again." Amelia said before looking at her younger brother.

"Nico " she cried again before going to his side and finally he hugs her.

"It is not your fault." Amelia said calmly knowing very well that he is overthinking again.

"Everything is going to be fine." He reassured her as she continued to cry.

"Who do I need to murder?" Hazel said as she enter the room wet.

"What happened?" Lucia asked as she take in her state.

"Marina hates baths" She responded. "You haven't answered my question."

"John and Lord Curringworth." Amelia replied.

"I shall wait for Ben's arrival so that we can complete the job together." She said firmly.

"Miss Donna is happy to have eight more people on board." Felicity announced as she entered the room. "Now, who do I need to murder?"

"What's with this family and murder?" Helena asked with a smile.

"A lot of things." Lady Morribel replied.

Helena could not stop the smile on her face. She realize that she hates seeing the viscount angry and as much as she hates to admit it, she is having feelings for the man.
