Chapter 102
The Flood Catastrophe (1)
After some time had passed,
Arthur was still lying on the ground, while Han Sooyoung sat beside him, tending to him quietly—for a reason no one understood… except the Creator of the universe.
{The constellation "Mysterious Black Flame Dragon" glares at the incarnation Arthur Narin with anger}
Han Sooyoung slightly raised her head, frowning as she sensed that hidden gaze piercing through the space.
"What did he do to you to make you hate him this much?"
{The constellation "Mysterious Black Flame Dragon" remains silent}
The turmoil in Han Sooyoung's mind deepened. Sometimes, silence was heavier than any answer. Before she could reach a conclusion, Kim Dokja suddenly appeared, as if stepping out of a crack in space.
He was wearing a long white coat, similar to Yoo Joonghyuk's and Arthur's… but its white color gave him a different kind of presence.
"Where the hell were you?"
Han Sooyoung asked in a nearly irritated tone.
"I just finished collecting the rewards."
Han Sooyoung smiled strangely, looking him up and down.
"Oooh, look at you… wearing clothes similar to Arthur and Yoo Joonghyuk. Tell me, are you a fan or something? Don't tell me you're into that kind of thing."
She covered her mouth, pretending to be shocked, while a fake blush appeared on her face.
{The constellation "Demon-like Judge of Fire" is pleased for some reason}
{The constellation that enjoys gender transformation gleams with excitement}
Kim Dokja sighed quietly, ignoring her remarks.
"Let's leave this place. Even the asteroids wouldn't be able to stop Arthur if he wakes up angry… especially if he hears what you're saying."
With those words, Han Sooyoung carried Arthur on her back, while Kim Dokja carried Yoo Sangah. They left Yoo Joonghyuk behind, in the hands of the Poison Master, and walked away without looking back.
---
After some time…
Kim Dokja stood before the plant he had seen at the beginning of the scenario. He pulled it out, peeled it carefully, added some spices, and lit a fire calmly.
He began cooking.
After a short while, he tasted a small piece first. Once he confirmed it was safe, Han Sooyoung reached out and took a piece.
"It's… really delicious! You actually have talent in cooking."
She said with a cheerful smile.
"Hey, Arthur! Come eat."
Kim Dokja called out.
Arthur was standing at a distance, eyes closed, as if lost in another world. When he heard the call, he slowly opened his silver eyes, then walked over, sat down, and took a piece of meat.
With the first bite, it felt as though the meat melted in his mouth, like a warm, pure liquid. The flavor flared gently, flowing into his stomach, while a rich aroma spread through the air.
Kim Dokja turned and looked at Yoo Sangah.
"I know you're awake. Come join us."
She didn't move.
Kim Dokja smiled slightly.
"Well… it seems you're still asleep. I'll just eat everything then."
"No, wait!"
Yoo Sangah quickly stood up and walked toward him, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Kim Dokja noticed Arthur's gaze. Before he could say anything, Arthur gestured toward Han Sooyoung and moved away with her, leaving the two alone.
They stayed behind, talking and smiling quietly.
---
After a while, Arthur felt that something was wrong.
A strong light was emanating from Kim Dokja's direction. But what troubled him wasn't the light… it was the aura accompanying it.
A heavy aura.
A dangerous aura.
He sensed the presence of several "rulers" who had manifested and descended.
Without hesitation, Arthur dashed toward the source at full speed.
What did that bastard do this time? Did he summon a ruler?
He prepared himself for the worst.
Moments later, he arrived.
His silver eyes widened like never before.
What he saw shocked him.
Yoo Sangah stood facing Kim Dokja, a massive and powerful aura emanating from her body.
Did a constellation possess her? But how? Where's the logic in that? How did it manifest inside her body?
Arthur stepped forward calmly, unarmed, his steps light as if walking in a garden.
They both noticed his approach.
"Arthur, don't do anything."
Kim Dokja said quickly.
Arthur smiled and looked at Yoo Sangah.
She turned toward him, her gaze strange… mysterious.
{You… who are you?}
"I…"
He paused, then smiled.
"How does one answer such a difficult question?"
{Answer, you bastard.}
Arthur raised his head, looking at the dark sky.
"I'm just an ordinary human. Now, would you like to tell me why you're manifesting inside one of my companions?"
{Who are you to demand answers from me, you insignificant human?}
Arthur smiled gently… almost kindly.
Then—
He moved.
With unbelievable speed, he reached her and grabbed her neck tightly.
"Leave her body… or die with it."
A dark aura exploded from his body. A murderous, blood-soaked presence that made the world around him resemble the ninth hell.
{Kill her, and you will witness Olympus's wrath, you arrogant fool!}
"Oh… Olympus's wrath? I'm truly terrified."
He smiled mockingly.
"And who will they send after me? Hades? Hermes? Or is that old man Zeus still alive? Or will you send one of those damned giants… Otus? Ephialtes?"
Arthur sneered in anger.
"Don't make me laugh. You're nothing but a half-formed constellation, far too insignificant to threaten me."
His tone was calm, but filled with deadly contempt.
"Leave now… or I'll kill you without hesitation."
{How do you know all this?}
With those words, the constellation's aura vanished from Yoo Sangah's body, as if forcibly torn away.
At that exact moment, the sky changed.
Dark clouds gathered, thunder roared, and the horizon flashed violently.
Then—
A massive bolt of lightning struck down toward Yoo Sangah.
Arthur moved without thinking.
He grabbed Yoo Sangah and threw her toward Kim Dokja, then leapt high into the air, meeting the lightning head-on.
The lightning struck—
But Arthur raised his sword—
And cut.
The bolt split into two halves and dissipated into the air like a slain beast.
A violent dark aura surged toward the ground, crushing the area where Arthur and Kim Dokja stood. The air compressed, the earth trembled, as if the world itself was holding its breath.
Arthur slowly raised his head.
High in the sky, a massive black vortex formed, spinning wildly. From its depths, something began to emerge…
A strange entity trying to cross into their world.
Dark. Enormous. Its power distorted space itself.
Arthur's body trembled violently.
His blood ignited.
"What the hell is that? A ruler… or something else?"
His soul quivered, and his silver eyes burned with pure fighting will.
A smile formed on his face—
A smile filled with destruction and ruin.
{The power of your fable surges from the depths of your soul}
{Your primary attribute is preparing to evolve}
With those messages, the pressure vanished.
The vortex disappeared.
The entity vanished.
The sky calmed—
As if nothing had ever happened.
Arthur sighed, glanced at Kim Dokja, then quietly walked away.
He had already grown used to Kim Dokja's actions… to the point he no longer questioned them.
---
The next morning…
Kim Dokja woke up.
"What? Did you dream about something?"
"Nothing… where are Arthur and Yoo Sangah?"
Han Sooyoung answered after a brief silence:
"Yoo Sangah went out scouting. As for Arthur… I don't know. He disappeared after the lightning last night and hasn't returned."
Kim Dokja's expression stiffened.
"What? Where did he go?"
They sat and talked for a long time, but reached no conclusion. Neither of them knew where Arthur had gone.
After a while, Yoo Sangah returned.
The three of them set out again, fighting monsters and moving forward.
---
Later…
Kim Dokja's phone vibrated.
Who is messaging me now?
He opened it.
It was from Han Donghoon.
> "Hyung, are you okay?
We're fine. Lee Gilyoung is with me, and so is Yi Sun.
Are you all okay?"
Kim Dokja let out a sigh of relief, reassured about his companions.
---
Meanwhile,
Arthur moved alone.
Advancing. Searching. Looking.
"Where did that kid disappear to? I haven't heard anything about him these past days… Is he okay? Is he with friends? Where did he go?"
Worry gnawed at his chest.
Yi Sun wasn't like Lee Gilyoung.
He had no offensive skills—only healing abilities.
How could he survive alone in this broken world?
Minute by minute,
Hour by hour,
Arthur's anxiety grew.
To him, Yi Sun was like a younger brother…
Someone he wanted to protect, no matter the cost.
He asked everyone:
Yoo Joonghyuk, Yoo Sangah, Kim Dokja, even Han Sooyoung.
But no one knew anything.
Yi Sun…
Lee Hyunsung…
Jung Heewon…
All three were missing.
Arthur didn't know that Yi Sun was safe, now with Lee Gilyoung.
He sighed quietly.
Then he noticed a group of people ahead.
Survivors of the scenarios…
Weak, exhausted, helpless.
Children approached him.
He saw hunger and thirst in their eyes.
Arthur smiled gently.
He took out food from his inventory—
Food he hadn't used yet—
And began distributing it to the children, the adults, and the injured.
He gave them seventy-five percent of his supplies.
Then he noticed another group…
They already had food.
Night fell.
As he wandered, he saw a little girl holding something in her hands, trying to enter a ruined building.
"Where are you going, little one?"
His voice was soft and gentle.
The girl trembled.
His voice had come out of nowhere.
She looked at him hesitantly.
"The people… who helped me."
Arthur smiled.
"Do you want to return the favor?"
"Yes."
"You're a good girl."
For the first time in a long while…
Arthur felt warmth.
Kindness.
Life.
In this broken world…
Because of a small girl.
