Back at the estate, Kyva escorted Cassian to one of the flowering trees. He had come to visit her, and she was happy that he dropped by. But dusk was settling in, and it was time for him to return.
"Rowan must be waiting for me at Liora's," he said. "I doubt even he is eager to go back. To be honest, our quarters are quite boring without you all. It also ruined our chances of studying together."
Kyva smiled softly. "Then perhaps next time, we shall visit yours instead. Snowpuff has grown quite comfortable in the Bloom Quarters– he no longer frets when I return late.It is almost as though he does not miss me at all."
Cassian let out a quiet laugh. "He must have made friends, which is a good thing. But I'm certain you remain his favorite. At the very least, you can devote yourself to your training without worry."
Kyva agreed with a nod. "I'm presently trying to refine my control over water. My master has been guiding me well, but I feel the need to apply more effort."
