Jay's Pov
We pulled away from the hug,
Keifer: "I will get you the essentials, you can clean up"
Jay: "I don't have any clothes here, I will just freshen up and come"
I went and brushed my teeth and freshened up came and he went to freshen up and take bath, I decided to make breakfast for us,
I went downstairs, the staff were shocked to see me,
Staff: "Wow, You are real"
I did not know what to reply, I just smiled and said "Hi"
Staff: "You are in photos upstairs, I thought.. " she stopped before she could complete
Jay: "I came to have breakfast for Keifer and I"
Staff: "But sir rarely eats, you can tell me what you want I will make it for you"
Jay: "He rarely eats?"
Staff: "Yes, It is always David sir, forcing him to eat."
What and all you went through that I didn't know of? Keifer. I was lost in the thoughts.
Staff: "What do you want ma'am?"
Jay: "No, I will make it myself, Thank you"
I said and she left.
I made breakfast for us, and decided to take it upstairs, I went to his room, and arranged it,
Just on cue, he came out, I turned to see him,
He had a surprised look on his face,
Keifer: "You made breakfast?"
I nodded my head,
Keifer: "Wow" he said and came and sat next to me, but I stayed silent.
He raised his eyebrows,
Jay: "The staff said you rarely eat?"
He stuttered while answering,
Keifer: "That's just because, you know I eat in the office"
I gave him a look,
Keifer: "No, Jay really I eat with David"
Jay: "Okay now tell me the truth"
He understood that I wasn't going to let it go,
He exhaled and started speaking,
Keifer: "I just skip it sometimes because I don't really get in the mood to eat"
Jay: "You cannot go skipping food just because you are not in the mood for it, Is this how you were in these 8 years" I slightly raised my voice at him
Keifer : "No, No, Even if I forget David never let's me, it is just sometime I skip breakfast that's all"
Jay: "Please don't do that again" I asked him in a pleading voice.
Keifer: "Promise I will not repeat it" he said and I smiled.
We proceeded to start eating then only I realised his hands were still injured and he cannot eat with his hands, he was struggling,
I quickly got the plate from him, he looked at me when I did, I took the food and lifted it to his mouth, to feed him, but he just looked at me when I did that, I gestured him to eat,
He smiled and took the bite and I noticed his eyes glistened, meanwhile I also ate, both of us finished eating.
I carried the dishes downstairs and came back, he was still in bed,
Jay: "Keifer, I have to go to my apartment."
His head snapped when I said that,
Keifer: "Why?"
Jay: "It's Friday , we still have work plus I have a baking order that I have complete"
I couldn't read his expression but he is thinking something,
Keifer: "You can take leave you know"
Jay: "I know, I applied for work from home only today"
Keifer: "ohh" it sounded like he was getting sad, does he want me to stay, but I couldn't ask him directly. I do want want to stay with him but ,I was thinking what to do when held my hand and said,
Keifer: "I don't want you to leave, please stay" he asked in pleading voice, then he suddenly hugged me by my waist and his face was on my stomach.
Honestly I did not want to leave either but I had to because of the baking order,
I did not reply to him, I just hugged him because I know this what he needed.
Keifer: "I know it feels like I am demanding, but it just that I finally got you back, I don't think I want to go back being to alone again "
I just hugged tighter when he said that, I do not want him to cry or be sad anymore,
Jay: "Keifer, will you join me?"
he looked up from the hug at me and I smiled at him,
his face quickly returned it ,
Jay: "and you are not demanding, even I wanted to stay with you, if I didn't have work I probably would have and I wanted you to have some rest" I said cupping his face
Keifer: "You are my rest" that's it that's all he said, it lightened my world
Keifer's Pov
After I freshened up and came, I saw Jay sitting on the bed with breakfast and I am pretty sure she is the one who made it, and I sat next to her and she remained silent then she asked me about skipping meals, she was concerned and angry at me at same time for doing that, I will admit I got a scared by her but I melted the second when she used her pleading voice.
But now I am more scared when she gets know about my insomnia, I know I cannot hide it from her for long enough but right now I just want to enjoy and be happy with her, because if she gets to know I know for sure she will feel guilty and sad and I do not want that to happen.
Then she came back after keeping the dishes, then she said she wanted to go to her apartment, I don't know why mind started overthinking and spiralling, what if she doesn't like being here, I asked her and she had to do to work, I can understand what she was trying to say but I at same time I do not want her to be away from, I hated that thought,
Especially I got her after so long, I do not want to be away from her even for work.
Keifer: "I don't want you to leave, please stay" he asked in pleading voice, then I hugged her by her waist and my face was on her stomach.
I only turned this vulnerable when it comes to her, or things related to her,
But this time I wanted her to know everything I felt, I said to her what I felt and her response lightened my heart, she was just concerned about me, I just wanted to be around her.
Keifer: "You are my rest" I truly meant those words to her, I ever want to run anywhere I would run into her arms for my peace. She smiled when I said that, God I would do anything just to keep her smiling like this.
