Chapter 258 - Chapter 258: Karl’s Boldness

Karl then turned his attention to the Infinite Concept Energy Formula.

The concept behind it was incredibly bold.

But if it worked, the results would be extraordinary.

Of course, there was also a huge risk.

If the cosmic entity Death noticed what he was doing, things could become extremely troublesome.

After thinking carefully for a while, Karl finally made his decision.

He would try it.

After all, the system description clearly stated that the Shadow World could not be detected by any dimensional lord or demon god.

If that was true, then even Death should be unable to detect what happened inside it.

Regardless of whether that assumption was correct—

Karl was willing to take the risk.

He turned to the woman lying in his arms.

"Wake up, baby."

"I'm taking you somewhere."

"Your strength should improve soon."

Karl spoke softly to Hela.

Since Hela was the Goddess of Death of Asgard, the energy of the primordial Death entity would naturally benefit her.

Hela slowly opened her eyes.

She looked at Karl in confusion.

Karl only smiled mysteriously.

With a casual wave of his hand, a black lace nightgown appeared on her body.

The next moment—

Both of them disappeared from the bed.

Karl had brought Hela directly into the Shadow World.

The moment they arrived, Karl realized something surprising.

The Shadow World was immense.

It was even larger than Dormammu's Dark Dimension.

As soon as Karl entered the dimension, the surrounding black shadow energy surged toward him.

Hela was startled and prepared to react.

But Karl immediately stopped her.

Because he quickly realized something.

The energy wasn't attacking him.

It was empowering him.

Karl instantly understood the reason.

Dimensional lords like Dormammu and Mephisto could grow stronger by drawing power from their dimensions.

But Karl's situation was different.

Dormammu and Mephisto were beings attached to their dimensions.

Their strength depended on the size and power of the dimension itself.

Karl, however, possessed a dimension attached to his own existence.

The Shadow World belonged to him completely.

This meant something extraordinary.

Karl didn't need to grow the dimension first in order to grow stronger.

Instead—

His power and the dimension would grow simultaneously.

At that moment, the dimensional energy continued pouring into Karl's body.

Inside him, the Doomsday gene began evolving rapidly.

The black energy surged through him for nearly three hours.

Finally, Karl slowly opened his eyes.

His physical strength alone had now reached Single-Universe level.

From this moment forward—

Karl no longer needed to wear the Golden Cloth armor to reach that level of power.

He had become a true Single-Universe-level powerhouse.

Throughout those three hours, Hela had remained beside him, silently guarding him.

She was about to speak—

But Karl suddenly pulled her into a kiss.

After a long moment, he released her.

Hela said nothing more.

She simply leaned into Karl's arms quietly.

Then Karl retrieved something from the system space.

A white crystal appeared in his hand.

It radiated a terrifying aura of death energy.

The crystal was formed from a strand of energy taken from the body of Death, one of the Five Primordial Creator Gods of the Marvel Multiverse.

Hela's eyes widened in disbelief.

She could clearly feel the terrifying power inside the crystal.

At the same time, she felt an instinctive sense of fear.

Even Karl himself felt nervous.

He immediately summoned his Golden Cloth armor.

The six Infinity Stones embedded within it began flashing intensely.

He waited.

Ten minutes passed.

Nothing happened.

Karl finally breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed the system's concealment rules had truly hidden the Shadow World from outside perception.

Under Hela's confused gaze, Karl activated the Infinite Concept Energy Formula.

He began circulating the energy within the white crystal.

Ten minutes later—

The single crystal had multiplied.

There were now one thousand identical death-energy crystals floating before them.

Hela stared in complete shock.

Karl swallowed nervously.

Then he turned toward her.

"Absorb as many as you can."

"But don't take too many at once."

He pointed at the crystals.

"This energy comes from Death herself."

"The cosmic entity you're thinking of."

Karl's expression grew serious.

"You must completely absorb and convert the energy into your own power before leaving this dimension."

"Understand?"

Hela looked stunned.

"What?!"

"That's… the energy of a Creator God…"

But when she realized Karl was giving such a precious resource to her, her eyes softened.

She picked up one crystal.

Then she activated the death power within her body and began absorbing it.

Meanwhile, Karl picked up another crystal.

He attempted to apply the Infinite Concept Energy Formula again.

But this time—

Nothing happened.

No matter how long he waited, the crystal remained the same.

Karl narrowed his eyes.

Then he understood.

The formula could only be applied once per energy cycle.

Once a crystal had already undergone the conceptual loop, it could not be multiplied again.

Even so—

One crystal becoming one thousand crystals was already an enormous gain.

Karl sighed in relief.

Afterward, he instructed Haohan to record the Infinite Concept Energy Formula.

Then he ordered the AI to circulate the formula through all the stellar energy stored in his dimensional space.

Soon Haohan reported the results.

The energy stored inside Karl's dimensional space had increased dramatically.

It now equaled the energy output of approximately one million stars.

Of course, the formula did not actually multiply stars themselves.

It only amplified the energy output.

A "star" was simply a unit of energy calculation.

Even so—

The energy reserves were now sufficient to power the Vast Knowledge Treasury at full capacity for one minute and forty seconds.

Karl still intended to collect more stars later.

But this result was already extremely satisfying.

Meanwhile, Hela had finished absorbing one death-energy crystal.

Her aura had clearly grown stronger.

However, she did not absorb a second one immediately.

Instead, she walked over to Karl and looked at him with affectionate eyes.

It was hard to imagine that this was the same Goddess of Death who once sought to conquer the Nine Realms.

Karl gently reminded her again.

"Remember this."

"After each absorption, you must carefully check your body."

"Make sure no trace of that energy remains."

"If even a tiny fragment escapes after we leave this dimension…"

Karl's tone grew serious.

"It could attract Death's attention."

"That's why you must convert all of it into your own energy before leaving."

Hela nodded firmly.

Then she looked up at Karl.

Karl leaned down and kissed her again.

Afterward, his mental energy entered her body, carefully inspecting every part of her existence.

He found nothing suspicious.

Still, Karl allowed a portion of the Infinity Stones' energy to wash through her body as an additional safeguard.

Hela didn't resist his mental inspection at all.

She trusted him completely.

Even if Karl explored her mind itself—

She wouldn't mind.
