Summoning beasts usually matched a ninja's fighting style—offense, defense, support, escape, or survival. Pure endurance alone rarely made one stand out.
But this was the guaranteed reward from thirty consecutive draws. It couldn't be trash.
Yatagarasu had proven its destructive power against Kirigakure. The chameleon had blindsided them completely, acting like an upgraded version of the Moonlight clan's Transparent Release. Whatever this new beast was, Rasa was about to find out.
He flashed out of the tower and reappeared outside the village. This time he didn't need backup or other summons. Just himself.
[Name: Rasa]
[Title: Fourth Kazekage]
[Ninjutsu: Byakugan Reconnaissance, Sand Soldier Emergence, Flowing Sand Shift, Arc-Moon Sand Dune, Ground Surface Cracking, etc.]
[Taijutsu: Standard]
[Genjutsu: None]
[Kekkei Genkai: Magnet Release – Gold Dust, Byakugan]
[Ōtsutsuki Bloodline: 10%]
Rasa glanced at his status panel. The ten percent Ōtsutsuki bloodline had boosted every stat—raw power, speed, stamina, reaction time, and chakra reserves. And then there was the Byakugan. Incredibly useful in every fight, whether against Kirigakure or Konoha. One floating eye high in the sky gave him perfect vision of the entire battlefield. No blind spots. Even better than the Rinnegan in some ways—true X-ray vision that ignored obstacles.
Sand Soldier Emergence was far stronger than any Shadow Clone, and paired with Flowing Sand Shift it gave him god-tier survivability. Arc-Moon Sand Dune hit every living thing like a truck, even giant summoning beasts. At this point, Rasa wasn't even worried about most Tailed Beasts anymore.
He pulled out the Summoning Beast Summon Card.
"Use."
A burst of white light flashed. The next second, an enormous figure exploded out of the card.
Deep brown fur. Thick, dense coat. Two massive, razor-sharp horns like twin blades. Muscles bulging with raw power—like it had endless strength to spare. Its eyes locked onto Rasa, glowing bright red.
"Pfft!"
A blast of hot breath shot out like white steam.
Rasa studied the giant bull.
"Strong endurance type, huh? This thing looks like it could plow fields for two straight weeks without stopping."
An idea clicked instantly.
Sunagakure had entered a time of peace. Grass Village wasn't even a threat anymore. The Sun Disk would generate energy and slowly improve the land, but real growth meant trade with the outside world. And trade required reliable transport.
Right now, Sand's external trade was painfully slow. Nothing but desert in every direction. No smooth roads like Konoha. No open sea routes like Kirigakure. Everything moved by camel—one slow, miserable trip at a time.
"If I use this bull for transport, efficiency would skyrocket. Camels couldn't even compare. And it's a summoning beast—it has chakra. It can scare off would-be attackers and ignore sandstorms. One trip could carry a ridiculous amount of cargo."
Rasa's eyes lit up as he looked at the massive bull. In wartime it might not have been the most useful—too straightforward, easy to bait and tire out. But now? Perfect timing. Sunagakure needed exactly this.
"Build a desert-capable vehicle. Or better yet… a ship it can pull. Once I tame this thing, I'll have the village engineers figure it out."
The giant bull had waited long enough. Its red eyes stayed locked on Rasa like a matador's cape. Then it stomped the ground and charged, horns aimed straight at him.
Rasa smiled faintly.
"Magnet Release—Gold Dust!"
A thick sand wall erupted in front of the bull.
"Boom!"
The bull smashed straight through it without slowing. But Rasa was already gone, standing to the side. The bull whipped its head around, spotted him, and charged again. Another sand wall. Another crash. The bull refused to quit. Every failure only made it more furious. Its eyes burned brighter. Steam rose from its head.
"Pfft!"
Another charge.
It didn't even notice Rasa had already floated into the air. He kept creating walls while the bull kept slamming into them, venting all its rage on empty sand.
"This stamina is actually insane," Rasa muttered, genuinely impressed.
Yatagarasu or the chameleon would've tapped out long ago. Even the toads of Mount Myōboku, the slugs of Shikkotsu Forest, or the snakes of Ryūchi Cave probably couldn't match this. Maybe only the Might family in Konoha stood a chance.
Time passed. The sky darkened. The bull was still charging, still smashing, still hunting for Rasa.
"Stubborn as hell."
Even with its monstrous endurance, the bull was finally slowing down. Its breathing turned ragged. Sweat had turned into a layer of white frost across its body. But it showed zero intention of giving up or running.
"Born to be a workhorse," Rasa said with a grin. "Perfect for pulling carts… or ships."
He raised his hand.
"Magnet Release!"
The sand around the bull surged like living things, wrapping tightly around its massive frame until the entire beast was encased in gold dust.
Rasa landed in front of it and lifted one hand.
"Submit… or die."
