"Grass Village? They're that evil?"

"What the hell were they thinking?"

"If this is true, they're monsters!"

"Who knows how many innocent people they slaughtered? How many families they ruined?"

The entire Land of Wind erupted in outrage the moment the new issue of the Ninja World Big Events Weekly hit the streets. People tore into Grass Village with everything they had.

The Wolf Spider Bandits mentioned in the headline were infamous. Everyone knew how strong they were—ghosts who struck without warning and vanished without a trace. Wind Country villagers had tried fighting back. The daimyo had sent soldiers. Even Sunagakure had taken a few bounties on them. All of it failed.

Now the truth was out.

"The Wolf Spider Bandits were Grass Village ninja the whole time?"

"No wonder they were so damn strong."

"No wonder they always had perfect intel."

"Grass Village went way too far!"

"Fucking animals!"

"A hidden village sending its own shinobi to pretend to be bandits? That's not what ninja villages are supposed to do. If every village started pulling that shit, the whole ninja world would turn into chaos."

"Grass Village deserves whatever's coming to them!"

Most shinobi joined the pile-on, spitting curses at Grass Village. But a few looked thoughtful—almost inspired.

"Wait… a hidden village can actually do this?"

"If we pulled the same move, we could finally fix our village's problems."

"Why the hell can't we? Those weak-ass bandit groups live better than we do, and we train day and night like dogs. It's not fair!"

"If we've got the strength, we should take what we want. Those merchants and nobles made their money by screwing everyone else anyway."

A copy of the newspaper reached the Grass Village leader. He opened it, and the massive headline punched him straight in the face.

His expression twisted in rage.

"Grass Willow!"

He slammed the paper down.

Grass Willow really was one of their shinobi. Sending him to pose as a bandit had been Grass Village's order. But the leader knew exactly what the Wolf Spider Bandits had actually done. It was nowhere near the scale the paper claimed—thousands of civilians killed, hundreds of caravans raided, hundreds of Sunagakure shinobi ambushed. That was bullshit.

"What the fuck are you trying to pull?" the leader snarled. "Not only did you betray the village, you're trying to frame us too?"

His face was ugly with fury.

The moment he saw Grass Willow's name, he knew the man had sold them out. Otherwise Sunagakure never would've connected the Wolf Spider Bandits to Grass Village. And the orders had been clear: if there was any risk of exposure, Grass Willow was supposed to kill himself immediately to protect the village. The guy had agreed without hesitation.

"You're a disgrace to the title of shinobi, Grass Willow!"

"Getting captured wasn't enough—you just handed the whole village over?"

"Grass Village doesn't need a traitor like you!"

The leader was furious and heartbroken. He could already picture how the rest of the ninja world would react once this issue spread. Grass Village's reputation was finished.

And the truth? Nobody would bother digging deeper. Once Grass Willow— an actual Grass ninja—swore on his life that everything was true, people would believe it. Sunagakure had even put his real name in the paper. If anyone wanted proof, they could just go to Sunagakure and ask him themselves.

"This newspaper shit is terrifying," the leader muttered. "It spreads everywhere in a single day. Sunagakure doesn't even need to send an army—they can destroy an entire hidden village with ink and paper."

He stared at the headline, knuckles white.

"All because of what the Wolf Spider Bandits actually did, they're destroying our reputation this badly. Sunagakure's revenge is way too fucking vicious."

"They're only doing this because we're a small village."

"The Wolf Spider Bandits never did half the shit they're claiming. It's all lies!"

He thought the newspaper attack was already excessive payback. Then a Grass ninja came sprinting in at full speed, face pale.

"Leader! It's bad!"

"What now?" the leader snapped, already in a terrible mood.

"Sunagakure's army—they're here! They've crossed the border!"

The leader's eyes went wide.

"What?!"

A cold spike of fear shot through him.

He didn't dare call Sunagakure's revenge "too much" anymore. The real retaliation had arrived. This wasn't just some newspaper article ruining their name. This was a full army knocking on their door.

The leader finally understood what real fear felt like. He regretted every order he'd ever given to target Sunagakure.

"How the hell is Sunagakure like this now?"

That was exactly what Rasa wanted.

A tiny hidden village had the balls to act this arrogant while Sunagakure was struggling? Fine, they got away with it back then. But now Sunagakure had ended the war with Kirigakure in total victory. And Grass Village still hadn't stopped their bullshit—they'd even gotten caught red-handed.

Rasa had zero mercy left.

"I'm making an example out of Grass Village," he thought coldly. "Every other village, every other group, every ambitious little shit out there needs to understand—Sunagakure isn't the weak desert backwater it used to be."

"Anyone who messes with us is going to feel our revenge."

"I'm cutting off every single idea anyone has about targeting us again."

"Touch Sunagakure… and I'll wipe you out."

The Grass Village leader raced to the front lines as fast as he could.

By the time he arrived, Pakura's Sunagakure army had already rolled straight through the Land of Grass border. Grass ninja broke on contact. They couldn't hold for even a minute. It was a complete slaughter.

Especially Pakura.

No one in the entire Grass Village could stand against her. It was pure domination—like adults beating up children.

Despair flooded the village.

The Grass leader's eyes turned blood-red.

"No!"
