Hell had grown quieter recently. Not the peaceful quite because Hell could never truly be peaceful but quieter in the uneasy way battlefields become silent after too much blood has been spilled.
The infernal cities still burned beneath crimson skies. Demons still fought within the lower rings.
Souls still screamed in the abyssal prisons below. Yet something had changed.
Fear had entered Hell again, because whispers were spreading. Whispers about the child who touched a Primordial and survived.
Deep within Pandemonium, the capital of the Infernal Realm, Lucifer sat alone upon the Black Throne.
The ruler of Hell looked ancient and regal tonight. Not weak, never weak but thoughtful.
The recent battle at the sanctuary had disturbed him more than most realized.
Not because of Vaelthoros. And not because of the awakening Heart.
But because of Luke....(I was also wondering what he's planning in that Lucyyyy head of his) his grandson had crossed beyond creation itself…
and returned alive.
Even Lucifer could not fully comprehend what that meant yet.
Infernal flames danced quietly around the throne room while countless demonic nobles whispered nervously in distant halls beyond.
Nobody dared disturb the Demon King when he entered moods like this.
Unfortunately for them…Beelzebub never cared about rules.
The giant infernal doors burst open dramatically.
"Your Highness! Your Highness! Your Highness!"
Lucifer sighed immediately without looking up.
"You are shouting again."
Beelzebub entered the throne chamber grinning shamelessly while tossing a celestial fruit into the air lazily.
"You will not believe the chaos I just witnessed."
Lucifer finally lifted crimson eyes toward his trusted messenger.
"You disappeared for nearly three weeks."
"Yes."
"And instead of reporting immediately…"
Beelzebub casually bit into the fruit.
"…I got hungry."
Lucifer stared at him in complete silence.
Then pinched the bridge of his nose slowly.
"Why are you like this?"
"Genetics."
The Demon King looked genuinely exhausted now.
Eventually Beelzebub stopped joking slightly. His golden eyes sharpened as he approached the throne.
"The sanctuary survived."
Lucifer's expression darkened faintly.
"I expected as much."
"No."
Beelzebub's grin slowly faded.
"You don't understand."
The throne room became quieter instantly.
"I saw the Heart awaken fully."
Infernal flames flickered lower around the chamber.
"I saw the Heir of Balance bind a Primordial."
Lucifer's fingers stopped moving against the throne armrest.
"And then…"
Beelzebub's voice became unusually serious.
"…the child returned from beyond creation alive."
Silence. A soooo heavy silence.
Even the infernal fires dimmed uneasily.
Lucifer slowly leaned forward now.
"Tell me everything."
Hours later…
the Demon King remained silent after hearing the full story.
Vaelthoros.
The void beyond creation.
The awakening Primordials.
Luke touching chaos without being consumed.
None of it sounded possible.
Yet Beelzebub had witnessed it himself.
Finally Lucifer spoke quietly.
"The Balance is evolving."
Beelzebub nodded slowly.
"That's not the strange part."
Lucifer raised an eyebrow slightly.
"The strange part," the Prince of Gluttony continued carefully, "is that the Balance seems to be evolving around Luke specifically."
The Devil King's eyes narrowed instantly.
He understood the danger in those words immediately.
The Balance was never supposed to adapt emotionally.
It governed existence through order and equilibrium.
But Luke…
Luke was changing its nature entirely.
Far across Hell, hidden within one of Pandemonium's abandoned lower citadels, Lilith and Azael's argument had still not ended.
"You embarrassed us."
Lilith glared sharply from the shadows of the ruined chamber.
"You speak too much."
"And you think too little."
Dark energy crackled violently between them.
Azael paced angrily now, his damaged wings twitching with irritation.
"We attacked the Heir before understanding what he had become."
Lilith crossed her arms coldly.
"And yet we survived."
"Barely!"
The chamber trembled beneath his fury.
"You rushed toward a fully awakened Balance wielder while a Primordial was rampaging!"
Lilith's expression darkened.
"He was only a child."
Azael laughed bitterly again.
"That is exactly the problem."
The words lingered heavily between them.
Because Luke being a child made everything worse somehow.
He should not possess that kind of power.
Should not command ancient entities.
Should not survive beyond creation itself.
Yet he did.
And now Hell had begun whispering his name with fear.
Meanwhile…
far above them in the upper infernal skies…
Beelzebub walked beside Lucifer across one of Pandemonium's massive obsidian balconies overlooking the burning realm below.
The Demon King's expression remained unreadable.
Finally he asked quietly:
"Do you fear him?"
Beelzebub blinked slightly.
"Luke?"
Lucifer nodded once.
The Prince of Gluttony became thoughtful.
Then unexpectedly smiled faintly.
"No."
Lucifer looked toward him.
Beelzebub rested his arms against the balcony railing casually.
"I fear what the realms will become if they force him to stop being a child too soon."
The answer surprised even Lucifer slightly.
Below them, infernal storms moved endlessly across the horizon.
Beelzebub's expression softened faintly afterward.
"He still smiles too easily."
Lucifer's crimson eyes darkened slightly at that.
Because he remembered another person who smiled like that once.
Celestia.
Back at the sanctuary…
Luke slept peacefully for the first time in weeks.
The hidden chamber remained open beside his room while Celestia's journals rested safely near his bedside now.
Moonlight poured softly through the sanctuary windows.
Everything felt calm.
Gentle.
Until suddenly—
the black cracks on Luke's arm glowed faintly beneath the bandages.
Then a deep ancient voice echoed softly inside his dreams.
"LITTLE HEIR…"
Luke stirred slightly in his sleep.
And far beyond creation…
something massive opened its eyes within the darkness.
