Luke stared at the glowing wall in complete silence.
The ancient runes shimmered softly beneath golden light while dust drifted gently from the opening stone doorway.
His heartbeat quickened.
Because the feeling beyond the chamber was unmistakable.
Celestia.though not fully alive but present enough that his chest ached instantly.
"Mum…" he whispered again.
The light pulsed softly in response.
The hidden doorway opened completely with a low ancient groan.
A cold breeze drifted outward carrying the faint scent of moonflowers and old parchment.
Luke slowly climbed out of bed despite the late hour, his bare feet touching the cold crystal floor quietly.
The sanctuary outside remained asleep.
Even the restoration bells had stopped ringing and only silence remained now.
And the golden light waiting beyond the doorway.
Luke hesitated briefly because part of him wanted to wake Lucien immediately.
But another part…
the deeper quieter feeling inside him…
knew this place had opened specifically for him. So slowly, cautiously he stepped inside. The chamber beyond was beautiful and unlike the grand halls of the sanctuary, this place felt personal.
Warm. Golden lanterns floated gently beneath a ceiling covered in painted constellations while ancient shelves lined the curved walls filled with journals, crystals, maps, and celestial instruments untouched by time.
Flowers bloomed softly near the windows despite centuries of isolation.
And at the center of the chamber stood a silver table covered with scattered papers and unfinished sketches.
Luke walked slowly toward it,then stopped completely. There were drawings of him which made him wonder if this was his mother's safe place.
Tiny sketches of a baby wrapped in blankets and small notes written beside them of measurements and dates.
Luke's throat tightened instantly.
His trembling fingers picked up one folded page carefully.
The handwriting was elegant and familiar. His mum's.
(Today he kicked for the first time during one of Lucien's arguments.
I think our son already enjoys chaos far too much.)
Luke laughed weakly before tears immediately filled his eyes.
Another note rested beneath it.
(He becomes calm whenever Lucien speaks to him. The Father of All says children can sense love before birth.
If that is true… then our little star already knows his father loves him deeply, even if Lucien himself has not realized it yet.)
Luke pressed the paper tightly against his chest. For a moment…,he could almost hear her voice reading the words aloud.
The room glowed softly around him as if reacting to his emotions.then something caught his attention near the far side of the chamber.A crystal sphere rested upon a pedestal glowing faintly gold.
As Luke approached it slowly, the Balance inside him reacted immediately.
Warmth spread gently through his chest.
The sphere awakened.
Golden light spilled outward into the room.and fortunately for him someone appeared and he froze.
Celestia stood before him.
Not physically.neither entirely real.
A memory. But unlike ordinary visions…
this one moved naturally, laughed naturally, lived naturally.
Luke's breath caught painfully.
She looked younger here and happier.
Her stomach slightly swollen with pregnancy while golden robes flowed softly around her.
Celestia smiled toward the crystal recording warmly. "If you are seeing this…"
Her voice nearly broke him immediately.
"…then you finally found my hidden chamber."
Luke's knees almost gave out beneath him.
"Mum…"
The memory tilted her head slightly as though sensing him somehow.
"I wondered how old you would be when you discovered this place."
She smiled faintly.
"Hopefully old enough not to destroy my books accidentally."
Luke laughed through tears. The memory continued walking slowly around the chamber while speaking.
"I made these recordings because…"
Her expression softened sadly.
"…I was afraid."
Luke listened silently.
"I saw many futures during my visions."
The lanterns dimmed slightly around the chamber.
"In some, I survived."
"In others, I did not."
She looked downward briefly before smiling again.
"But in every future…"
Her hand rested gently over her stomach.
"…you existed."
Luke's chest tightened painfully.
Celestia looked directly toward the crystal now.
"And that made every sacrifice worth it."
Tears rolled freely down Luke's face.
The memory walked closer slowly.
"If I am gone when you see this… then there are things I need you to understand."
Her voice became softer.
"You are not responsible for my death."
Luke froze completely.
The room became silent except for his breathing.
Celestia smiled sadly now.
"I know how your father thinks."
A tiny laugh escaped her.
"And if you are anything like him…"
Her expression turned painfully gentle.
"…then part of you probably blames yourself too."
Luke lowered his head immediately.
Because she was right.
Ever since learning the truth about his birth…
part of him had always carried guilt for surviving when she did not.
The memory stepped closer again.
"My little star…"
Luke looked up shakily.
"You did not take my life."
Her golden eyes shimmered warmly.
"You gave my life meaning."
The words shattered him completely.
Luke broke down crying openly as the room filled with soft golden light.
And somehow…
for the first time since losing her again…
the grief inside him loosened slightly.
