Chapter 10 - The Calm Before the Storm: The Butler’s Announcement(chapter10)

The Round Table Room fell into a tense silence, the weight of what had just transpired hanging thick in the air. The Council members, bruised and confused from their earlier training session with Elias, were still processing the unnerving display of power. But the moment of unease was cut short when the door slid open, and the Butler stepped in, flanked by seven servants, each with an air of quiet professionalism.

"You have a guest," the Butler announced, his voice as calm and unfazed as ever. The subtle implication that this was just another interruption in their already chaotic day didn't go unnoticed.

The Council immediately tensed. They'd been on high alert after the earlier sparring session with Elias—every fiber of their being screaming that something was off, that Elias might not be the young prodigy they had hoped to protect, but something much more dangerous. Every one of them instinctively moved toward their respective weapons or combat stances.

But Elias, his expression unreadable, held up a hand, his voice cutting through the tension. "Calm down, you savages," he muttered dismissively, pressing a small, sleek button on the table. The large holographic screen in the center of the room flickered to life, casting a blue glow over their faces.

The screen showed a live video feed from a camera, zooming in on Elias's humanoid robot friends and his alien buddies, all standing in a casual formation. Despite their unique alien appearances—bizarre, otherworldly, and yet somehow youthful—they all wore expressions of excitement, waiting for a sparring session. The energy in the room shifted instantly. These were his friends. His age. And there was no mistaking the way they interacted—they were his people.

Elias leaned back in his chair, his voice a bit too smug. "Meet my crew," he said, gesturing toward the screen. "They've been waiting to test out their new tech. And we're going to have some fun, you guys included."

A New Challenge: The Arrival of Elias's Friends(part1)

The Council members exchanged wary glances, their unease growing as Elias activated the door to let his friends in. As they entered the room, it was immediately clear that these weren't just ordinary beings—they were advanced, both in their design and in the way they carried themselves. His humanoid robots looked sleek and powerful, their glowing eyes giving them a cold, mechanical presence, while his alien companions exuded a kind of youthful energy that seemed dangerously unpredictable.

Elias turned to face the Council, a hint of excitement creeping into his voice. "You guys can stand over there," he said, gesturing toward the far side of the room. "This is my personal squad. We're going to get some sparring in. I'm sure you'll learn a lot from watching."

With a small nod, his friends shuffled into position. Elias then flicked a switch on the console, and the screen flickered once more before the image changed.

The Teleportation: Into the Triangle Sector(part2)

The next thing the Council knew, the entire room seemed to shift. A brilliant flash of light washed over them as Elias and his friends were teleported out of the room, their figures disappearing into the ether. The Council members blinked in confusion, realizing they weren't in the Round Table Room anymore.

They were now staring at a large, expansive digital map—now zoomed into the Triangle Sector, a remote and often deserted part of the galaxy. The screen, now active, switched to the live feed of the combat, allowing them to witness everything in real time. A small tracking window revealed Elias and his friends in the middle of a massive, desolate landscape—seemingly prepared for a combat test of their own.

The Fight Begins: Elias vs. His Friends(part3)

The first attack came from Elias's humanoid robot friends. With sleek, fast movements, they darted toward him, their metal limbs flashing like deadly blades. They were fast. Inhumanly fast. One robot lunged toward Elias, only to have him sidestep at the last moment, letting the robot crash into the ground.

"Nice try," Elias said, barely breaking a sweat as he turned and kicked the robot across the field, sending it tumbling. He quickly pivoted to deal with the alien in front of him—a creature with tentacles and a flexible body, dodging strikes with an almost eerie fluidity.

The fight intensified as the alien friends joined in. Their bodies adapted quickly to the environment, with one of them launching an energy blast from its hands. Elias responded with a calculated move, dodging the blast and countering with his own tactical strike—his body moving like a master of martial arts.

But despite his evident skill, Elias was being overwhelmed.

As the Council watched, they were shocked. His friends—who were kids, barely his age—were pushing him to his limits. The sheer pace of the fight, the coordination between them, and the physical speed at which they operated was something the Council couldn't ignore. Elias, the supposed tactical genius, was finding himself struggling to keep up, unable to outsmart them in the same way he had done with them earlier.

Councilman 10 leaned forward, unable to believe his eyes. "How can kids do this? They're overpowering him!" His voice was tinged with disbelief.

Councilman 4, ever the strategist, grunted in frustration. "This isn't just hand-to-hand combat anymore. They're using tactics he's not prepared for."

Selene's Explanation: The Role of Gadgets and Strategy(part4)

Selene, who had been silent up until this point, stepped in to clarify the situation. She stood calmly at the side, watching the battle unfold with a mix of pride and concern. "It's because of the gadgets," she explained, her voice steady. "Elias made them for themselves. They're not fighting purely with their abilities. They're using technology Elias created to enhance their physical capabilities—gadgets that allow them to fight at their best. Don't forget, these aren't just 'regular' kids. They've been outfitted with tech designed by Elias himself. He engineered them to be strong—together."

The Council stared, now realizing the extent of the situation. These weren't just Elias's friends—they were weapons, enhanced through technology, capable of going toe-to-toe with one of the greatest minds in the universe.

"But there's more," Selene continued, her eyes narrowing as she watched her son in the thick of the fight. "Elias is fighting with his body, not his mind."

The Council turned their attention back to the battle. Elias had already taken a few hits, but what truly caught their attention was his lack of calculation. He wasn't analyzing the situation—he was reacting. Moving purely on instinct. His mind, which had once been so sharp, seemed to be temporarily locked in physical combat, leaving his intellect sidelined.

"If he were using his mind," Selene said softly, "this battle would have been over long ago. He would have analyzed each move and countered accordingly. But right now, he's fighting with pure skill—just like you taught him. He's not relying on his ability to outthink his opponents; he's fighting like a warrior. And that's exactly what you wanted, isn't it?"

A Surprising Turn: Elias's Hidden Strength(part5)

The Council watched, stunned, as Elias finally began to regain control. His movements became more deliberate, his responses more tactical. Slowly but surely, he started outsmarting his friends, finding ways to exploit the weaknesses in their gadgets.

But before the battle could fully shift in Elias's favor, the screen flickered again, signaling that the sparring session was over. Elias stood in the center of the battlefield, panting heavily, sweat glistening on his brow, while his friends—his humanoid robots and alien companions—looked back at him, clearly exhausted but not entirely defeated.

"Well, that was fun," Elias said, his tone casual despite the physical strain. "Next time, I'll use my mind… and maybe you guys will have a chance."

The Council remained silent, still processing the battle. It was clear Elias had just shown them a side of himself they hadn't fully understood—a side that involved more than just raw intellect. But what was even more unsettling was the glimpse of something more dangerous beneath the surface: Elias was capable of using his mind for far more than just fighting. He could outthink and overwhelm his enemies in ways they hadn't even realized were possible. And that, in the end, might be far more dangerous than any weapon or gadget.

The fight was over, but the true test was just beginning. Would Elias ever learn to balance his intellect with his humanity—or would the overwhelming force of his own mind eventually consume him?
