Chapter 107 - Chapter 107 Advance to the Finals

Chapter 107 Advance to the Finals

"Roselia, use Magical Leaf!" Giselle commanded.

Roselia raised her hand, spinning, and fired energy leaves at Gardevoir.

Numerous energy leaves formed a small energy storm.

"Gardevoir, use Psybeam."

Gardevoir unleashed a colorful beam of light, scattering Roselia's move and grazing Roselia's arm, causing her a considerable injury.

Seeing that she wasn't knocked out in one hit, Giselle's brows relaxed slightly, and she said, "Roselia, use Toxic!"

"Gardevoir, use Draining Kiss."

As soon as Roselia was afflicted with Toxic, Gardevoir took her out with a single move.

"Go, Ninetales!"

Giselle recalled the fallen Roselia and sent out Ninetales again.

"Ninetales, Flamethrower!"

Ninetales opened her mouth and spewed out a scorching tongue of fire.

"Gardevoir, use Aura Sphere," Ash commanded.

"Gardevoir!"

Gardevoir conjured a light blue orb the size of a basketball and hurled it at the flaming Ninetales.

"Ninetales, quick, dodge!"

Hearing the command, Ninetales immediately scurried to the side to dodge.

Boom!

As soon as Ninetales moved away, the Aura Sphere created a small crater in the ground.

Seeing that Ninetales was unharmed, Giselle continued to command, "Ninetales, Flame Vortex!"

"Gardevoir, finish it with Moonblast!"

Gardevoir gathered energy in her hands, and a moon projection appeared above Ninetales's head, followed by a pale light shining down on Ninetales.

"Ninetales is unable to battle. Please send out your last Pokemon, Giselle!" the referee announced, raising his flag.

"Marowak, it's up to you!"

Giselle sent out her true ace Pokemon.

[Pokemon: Marowak]

[Attribute: Ground]

[Gender: Male]

[Level: Gym Advanced]

[Ability: Battle Armor]

"Return, Gardevoir. Lucario, I'll leave the finishing blow to you."

Ash made another Pokemon change.

"Lucario!"

A sleek-furred, powerful-looking yellow dog appeared on the field.

After special training, Lucario's strength had advanced another level, now reaching Quasi-Elite Middle Stage.

At the commentary desk, the commentator was once again shocked: "Wow, this match is truly exciting! I never expected Ash to have not only a Shinny Gardevoir but also a Shinny Lucario! Looking at Lucario's fur color and the powerful build of its limbs, Ash has raised every one of his Pokemon exceptionally well. He truly lives up to his reputation as the biggest dark horse of this Contest!"

"Marowak, Focus Energy!"

"Lucario, Swords Dance!"

Both players issued commands to boost their stats.

After their stats were boosted, Ash took the initiative to attack: "Lucario, Close Combat."

Lucario covered the distance in a few strides, launching an attack towards Marowak.

"Marowak, use Bone Club." Giselle chose to have Marowak face the attack head-on.

Lucario abandoned defense, striking Marowak with a flurry of punches and kicks, while Marowak struggled to counter by swinging the Bone Club in its hand.

In terms of close-quarters combat, Ash's Lucario and Annihilape could instantly defeat most Pokemon of the same level. After all, Ash personally conducted special training with them for nearly two months.

During these two months, the two Pokemon had endured countless beatings from Ash, training their resilience and ability to seize opportunities to the fullest.

In less than thirty seconds, Lucario and Marowak had exchanged nearly fifty blows, with Marowak being almost entirely on the receiving end of a one-sided beating.

Seeing her Pokemon injured, Giselle hurriedly said, "Marowak, create some distance and use Bone Boomerang!"

Marowak heard the command, used Lucario's momentum for a backflip, creating three meters of distance, and then sharply swung the bone in its hand.

"Lucario, use Metal Claw to hit the bone back!"

Lucario, hearing this, fixed his eyes on the incoming Bone Club. Just as the bone was about to hit him, he suddenly swung a claw, striking the Bone Club, which was instantly sent flying back.

Seeing her Marowak trying to catch its Bone Club, Giselle hurriedly shouted, "Marowak, no, quickly dodge!"

"Marowak?"

Marowak froze for two seconds, and then the Bone Club struck its head hard.

Thud~

The sound was clear and crisp, a good hit.

Seeing Marowak fall with stars spinning in its eyes, the referee decisively raised his flag and announced, "Marowak is unable to battle! The winner is Ash from Pallet Town!"

"The gap is truly wide." A hint of disappointment flashed in Giselle's eyes.

After Ash, the next match was between Gary and a random trainer.

Compared to Ash, Gary's battle was a bit more difficult, for no other reason than Gary also followed Ash's example by sending out his baby-level Pokemon. If it weren't for Blastoise and Scizor as backup, he might have been swept by the opponent's Quasi-Elite Early Stage Rhyperior.

After the match, Ash found Gary and taunted him, "Gary, you really never learn, do you? You almost missed out on the finals."

"What do you mean 'almost'? I'm not like you, who doesn't know how to be gentle with women. Ash, you've participated in the Indigo Plateau Conference and twice shut out female opponents with a zero-score victory. This time, it's even more outrageous; you used a seemingly harmless Pokemon to one-shot someone's main Pokemon, and then you pulled off a 1-on-4 sweep." Gary retorted.

"Hmph, I may not know how to be gentle with women, but your opponent just now was a man. Gary, could it be that you're not up to par?"

Hearing Ash's words, Gary immediately became agitated, "You're the one who's not up to par! I call that being considerate!"

"'Considerate'? Alright, since we're from the same hometown, in tomorrow's final, I'll show you what true 'consideration' is." A slight smirk played on Ash's lips.

Looking at Ash's smile, Gary had a bad feeling.

"It's getting late. I need to go to the Pokemon Center to restore my Pokemon's stamina. See you around."

Ash finished speaking and left the arena with Misty and Brock.

"Ash, for your battle with Gary tomorrow, which Pokemon are you planning to use?" Misty asked.

"Charizard and them, I guess. Other Pokemon have already battled. Charizard and the others haven't fought yet, so I'll let them have some fun. Gary will probably use Mega Evolution."

Ash could confirm that Gary would definitely Mega Evolve Scizor.

"So, Ash, you're only sending out the First Generation Starters to battle Gary tomorrow?"

"It depends on the situation. Gary's main Pokemon are also quite well-trained."

Ash would definitely send out the First Generation Starters, with Gardevoir as the anchor. As for Pikachu, he'd rather not; its ability is a bit tricky, and if he accidentally overacted and lost, Ash was afraid Pikachu's hard-earned 'big brother' image would collapse.
