Chapter 2 - A commotion.
RUMBLE!!!!
The ground shook violently beneath Echo's feet, crystals and obsidian spires trembling and rattling.
What! is! this! , echo said. The amazment drained from his face.
The rumble echoed through the vast expanse, a deep vibration passed through
his bones that sent shivers down his spine.
He was shaken to the bone turning left and right trying to perceive what he can't understand.
He heard... ROAR!!!!!!
A roar tore through the air shaking the very fabric of the realm. A beast emerged from the shadows unlike anything he had seen before..... towering above him with elongated limbs of obsidian, eyes blazing like molten embers, and a horrifying maw that seemed to devour light and dark itself. The beast looked like a massive spider 9ft long .
ROAR!!!!!
Echo took an instinct step back, the beast roar reverberated through Echo's chest and made him flinch ,his instinct screaming at him to run.
He tried to instinctively summon his light , but nothing responded and realize who he is now.
The beast didn't waste time and lunged. Echo felt like crying. Every step it took shattered the crystalline ground, sending splinters of crystal flying. Echo barely rolled out of the way as its clawed limb slammed where he had been moments before.
His heart started to pound.....will i die here, alone, in this strange, beautiful, and deadly realm, he thought. But i just arrived.
You must have caused a commotion for you to attract this weak-thing, newcomer! ...he hear a female voice rang out in sarcastic manner.
Then she appeared above the massive spider with a glowing sword illuminating the sky above it. The sight was both deadly and beautiful to watch. The next second the beasts head flung flying in the air.
THUD!!!!
What happened next was blurry and difficult for normal eyes to see. Echo try to perceive where his savior is but only found emptiness.
Then a woman, mid-thirties, with calm, piercing eyes and a presence that radiated control, appeared between him and the dead beast holding a glowing orb that seem to resonate with the dead beast...it vanished second later...that strange action made Echo's eyes flicker with interest.
Energy crackled around her in strange pattern, a web of golden threads of weavings flowed into her from the beast.
She was damn beautiful, echo taught.
The lady looked him up and down trying to assess him. So why all the commotion for your first time here, she said.
I ...., echo was out of words.There is no need , just follow me , she said. Echo can only nod his head.
They moved and navigated through the expanse.
So what is your name, she asked.
My name is Echo!!, he replied, she nodded calmly. You can call me Elsa. Okay.
They encountered a beast that look like a massive serpent. She didn't waste and blurred across the expanse and reached the serpent, so fast that echo almost lost her.
Watch! Echo!, her voice reached echo despite the distance. Echo knew this was a test and important , so he watched everything in dedication of a scholar.
She raised her sword....Second form: Flow of the waters. A sound of flowing water echoed out from the sword then her sword flashed with a deep hue , imitating what a liquid will be.
It passed through the serpent's head with no resistance.
THUD!!.
She moved towards the head lying on the ground and caved a hole from it , she took a glowing orb out of it, it disappeared the moment it appeared.
She looked towards echo and saw the interest in his eyes.
What you saw just happened is what we call the holding ring , it is expensive depending on its size, she said to echo who nodded in understanding.
You must be from the verse right, she asked.
Yes , echo replied, although he was confused on how she knew he came from somewhere. But it doesn't matter to him he only needs survival and it seems he found one.
Would you mind telling me your story , when we reach the sacredwaters, this is not a safe place to talk....echo nodded in agreement, he only needs a safe place.
They continue their small journey-hunting.
He came to learn of the beasts orbs , the frequency holding ring a little of the realm his in from Elsa.
Beasts after beasts was killed and more beasts orbs was obtained, and the more he watched the more he fills his comprehension and confidence rise up.
He is learning from me just by staring at me, taught Elsa in pride. Would you mind joining the sacred waters as my disciple, she stared towards echo.
Echo analyzed , two different offers, join the sacred waters and become my disciple. Well he doesn't mind if there is food and shelter so he , nodded his head.
A smile crept on her beautiful face.
They moved on to kill their last beats. Now let's get going.
"Hold still"! , she commanded. Without hesitation, she lifted him into her arms, her movements precise and fluid. Together, they vanished in a flash of prismatic light.
