Chapter 81 - 81: The Trap at Shibuya

Jujutsu High.

Suguru Geto, Yuta Okkotsu, and Yuki Tsukumo had just returned.

All three stared at the massive screen in front of them.

Mountains of corpses and rivers of blood filled the footage. The brutal scene reflected in their eyes, leaving the room heavy with silence.

Suguru Geto paused the video and pointed at the monstrous face frozen on the screen.

"Shion, Satoru… is that Ryomen Sukuna?"

Gojo Shion leaned back in his chair, arms crossed behind his head, studying the screen with calm curiosity. Beside him, Satoru Gojo frowned slightly.

"Yeah," Satoru said. "He looks like a real pain."

Shion exhaled slowly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"An ancient relic dead for a thousand years suddenly showing up to cause trouble. What a headache."

Geto rested his fingers on his chin. Even through the recording, Sukuna's overwhelming arrogance could be felt.

That presence belonged to someone who stood above everyone else.

After a moment of silence, Geto spoke again.

"If the three of us fight him together, can we win?"

Satoru immediately grinned.

"Of course we can. No one is stopping the three of us."

Shion shook his head with a faint smile.

"Don't be naïve. Kenjaku is not stupid enough to let that happen. He will definitely separate us."

He tapped the paused screen lightly.

"He has probably already prepared opponents for each of you."

Satoru clicked his tongue.

"Tch. Since when do we play by that guy's script?"

Suddenly an alarm rang through the room.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Everyone turned toward the screen again.

The surveillance feed had changed.

Kenjaku stood calmly in the center of the frame. Behind him stood three disaster level Cursed Spirits, their presence completely undisguised.

Kenjaku waved at the camera with a wide smile.

"Hi, hi. Moshi moshi. Can everyone at Jujutsu High hear me?"

His tone was light, but the malice behind it was obvious.

"We have been interacting for quite a while now, so I will skip the unnecessary introduction."

He stepped aside slowly.

"This is Shibuya Station."

Behind him appeared a horrifying sight.

A massive crowd of civilians sat trembling on the ground, surrounded by dozens of Transfigured Humans.

Kenjaku clasped his hands behind his back.

"With so many people here, who exactly has the ability to save them?"

He tilted his head.

"Oh right. Of course it would be the invincible Six Eyes."

His smile widened.

"So who will come? Gojo Shion? Or Satoru Gojo?"

Kenjaku glanced at his watch.

"But whoever it is, try not to be late. Let's say… before three in the afternoon."

He lifted one finger.

"Otherwise…"

Snap.

Kenjaku snapped his fingers.

Mahito immediately grabbed a terrified office worker from the crowd. The man's body suddenly swelled grotesquely before exploding.

Blood, bone, and flesh scattered across the ground.

The surrounding civilians screamed in horror, desperately crawling away.

Kenjaku stepped back in front of the camera.

"You should hurry."

His eyes gleamed with amusement.

"I cannot guarantee how many people will still be alive if you take too long."

He gave a polite bow.

"Good luck, Six Eyes. The savior of humanity."

Mahito's twisted laughter echoed as the screen went black.

"Bastard!"

Yuki Tsukumo slammed her fist into the table.

Satoru's expression turned cold as ice.

"Bro, looks like you predicted it perfectly again."

At that moment, Assistant Supervisor Nitta Akira suddenly shouted from the monitoring station.

"Shion-Senpai! Master Tengen has activated a Barrier! All of Shibuya has been sealed!"

Shion stood up slowly.

His usual relaxed expression returned.

"Then it's time."

He stretched his arms lazily and walked toward the exit.

"Let's move. The battlefield is waiting."

Shibuya.

"Damn it!"

Dagon kicked a broken chunk of concrete in irritation.

"Kenjaku actually expects me to team up with trash like this to fight one person?"

He glanced at Jogo, then at the massive Shikigami controlled by Dhruv Lakdawalla in the distance.

"If it were not for the Binding Vow, I would blast both of you to pieces."

Dagon sighed and looked up toward the sky.

"Hey, beautiful."

He whistled.

"Want to come down for a drink?"

Floating above them was Uro Takako.

She remained completely naked, using her Sky Cursed Technique to twist space into a thin curtain that covered the important parts of her body.

She glanced at Dagon once, then turned away coldly.

Dagon scratched his head.

"Tch. What an ice queen."

He chuckled.

"Back in my era, women used to throw themselves at me."

Suddenly the ground trembled.

Boom.

Two enormous Shikigami collapsed like crumbling buildings.

Dagon and Jogo turned immediately.

Shock flashed across their faces.

"Dhruv Lakdawalla… is dead?"

In the sky, Uro's expression twisted with deep hatred that had been suppressed for centuries.

"A descendant of the Fujiwara clan…"

Elsewhere in Shibuya, Yuta Okkotsu calmly shook blood from his blade.

Behind him, the thin corpse of Dhruv Lakdawalla slowly collapsed to the ground.

The ancient sorcerer had once suppressed the chaos of Japan alone. His Shikigami could create a territory that functioned like a Domain.

Yet Yuta had entered it without warning and ended the fight almost instantly.

Yuta looked toward the distance.

Three enormous sources of cursed energy burned brightly like flames.

"There are three more."

Meguro Ward.

Suguru Geto rode atop a Pelican Cursed Spirit, heading straight for Shibuya.

Suddenly a bolt of blue lightning shot toward him at terrifying speed.

Boom.

The Pelican Cursed Spirit was instantly destroyed.

Geto landed smoothly on the ground and looked ahead.

A blue haired young man stood there with a fierce smile. His hair was tied into two horn shaped buns.

Lightning crackled across his body.

"Hey."

His voice was filled with excitement.

"Are you the strongest sorcerer of the modern era, Suguru Geto?"

Geto blinked.

"Me?"

The young man's expression froze.

"What? You're not Suguru Geto?"

Geto scratched his cheek.

"Well… I am Suguru Geto."

He pointed casually toward the direction of Jujutsu High.

"But if you mean the strongest, that title probably belongs to Shion."

The man's forehead veins bulged.

Lightning exploded around him.

"Kenjaku… that bastard lied to me!"

Geto nodded seriously.

"I hate dishonest people too."

He raised a hand politely.

"How about we go deal with Kenjaku together?"

"Fine."

Kashimo Hajime turned around.

Then he stopped.

Slowly, he looked back at Geto.

"Are you trying to trick me?"

"No."

Silence.

Electric sparks danced wildly around Kashimo.

He grinned like a predator.

"Then I will kill you first."

Geto sighed.

"So the negotiation failed."

He pulled out the cursed tool Yūun.

Cursed energy surged around him as violent winds began to howl.

Kashimo's eyes shone with excitement.

"Even if you are not the strongest… you are definitely strong."

He licked his lips.

"What a wonderful appetizer before the main dish."

The two vanished.

A violent collision erupted instantly.

Saikyo Line.

Yuki Tsukumo leaned casually against a railing while staring at the figure in front of her.

"You know… there is something I have always been curious about."

She tilted her head with a playful smile.

"Are you a man or a woman?"

Uraume's face instantly darkened.

"You insolent woman."

Cold killing intent filled the air.

"Ice Formation Cursed Technique. Frost Calm."

A breath of cold air escaped Uraume's palm.

Gigantic pillars of ice erupted from the ground.

Yuki clicked her tongue.

"If you are a girl, that personality is seriously spicy."

She activated her technique.

"Star Rage. Gouriki."

Her body gained an enormous amount of imaginary mass, yet her movements remained light and effortless.

Boom.

Ice shattered everywhere.

Their battle began instantly.

Shibuya Center.

At the top of a hill made entirely of bones, Sukuna sat cross legged with boredom written across his face.

Suddenly his eyes opened.

A slow smile spread across his lips.

The smile grew wider and wider until it became pure arrogance.

"Oh?"

His voice echoed through the air.

"You actually came alone to challenge me?"

He laughed softly.

"How truly… audacious."

Gojo Shion removed his sunglasses.

His bright blue eyes met Sukuna's gaze.

A playful grin appeared on his face.

"Relax."

He slipped his hands into his pockets.

"I didn't come here to challenge you."

His smile sharpened.

"I came to kill you."
