Don's POV
The car rolled smoothly into the main compound, the gates closing behind us with a quiet finality.
I didn't speak.
I didn't need to.
The engine died, and for a brief moment, silence settled inside the vehicle like a held breath.
Then Mateo stepped out first.
As always.
He moved to my side and opened the door without hesitation. I stepped out slowly, my shoes meeting the ground with deliberate calm, my gaze already scanning the surroundings before my body fully followed.
Eliana stepped out after me.
I didn't look at her immediately.
Instead, I remained where I was, still, composed, waiting.
The sound of engines filled the air again as the rest of my convoy drove in behind us. One after the other, the vehicles came to a stop, forming a controlled line of presence and power.
Doors opened almost in unison. Men stepped out. Armed. Silent. Disciplined.
