The entire field shifted into a childlike, crayon-drawn map.
"I activate Magnificent Map's effect: I reveal a Level 1 Floowandereeze monster in my hand, then banish from my Deck one Floowandereeze card with a different name than the revealed monster—then I Normal Summon the revealed monster!"
"I reveal Floowandereeze × Bald Eagle, banish Floowandereeze × Robin from my Deck, and then Normal Summon Floowandereeze × Bald Eagle!"
A white eagle descended onto Kisaragi's field.

"At this moment, I activate the effects of Robin and Ostrich!" Kisaragi continued. "While banished, if a Winged Beast is Normal Summoned to my field, I can add these cards back to my hand!"
"Therefore, both cards return to my hand!"
"And since a card was banished, Soul Absorption restores 500 Life Points—then because of Flame Princess, you take another 500 damage!"
Flame Princess launched another fireball straight into Keith.

"Kisaragi's opening is still overwhelming," Yami Yugi said with a grin.
"Yeah," Mai nodded. "Keith is basically finished the moment he summons a monster."
This kid… she's way stronger than I expected. I'd better be careful, Keith thought, jaw tight.
"My turn—draw!"
"I Normal Summon Barrel Dragon in attack position!"

"At that moment, I activate the Field Spell Magnificent Map's effect!" Kisaragi snapped in instantly.
"What?!" Keith barked.
"This effect activates when your monster is successfully summoned—I can Normal Summon one Floowandereeze monster!"
"I summon Floowandereeze × Bald Eagle!"

"Then I activate Bald Eagle's effect and add Simorgh, Bird of Sovereignty from my Deck to my hand!"
"And I activate the banished Robin's effect—returning it to my hand!"
"Now, because Unexplored Winds is on my Spell/Trap Zone: when performing a Tribute Summon that normally requires two tributes, I can instead send one monster I control and one card my opponent controls to the Graveyard!"
"What?!" Keith's face twisted.
"I send my Bald Eagle and your Barrel Dragon—and Tribute Summon from my hand: Simorgh, Bird of Sovereignty!"
A violent gale tore across Kisaragi's field. A massive, emerald-green bird appeared, crowned and adorned with jewelry—regal, imposing, and untouchably proud.

"You Tribute Summoned a boss monster on my turn?!" Keith shouted.
"Oh—almost forgot," Kisaragi said coolly. "Bald Eagle was banished again, so Soul Absorption heals me for 500—and Flame Princess burns you for 500."

Keith Howard LP: 2000 → 1500
"Tch… I set one card. Turn end!" Keith snapped.
"At the end of the turn," Kisaragi said, "I activate Simorgh's effect: at the end of either player's turn, both players take 1000 damage!"
"What?!" Keith jolted.
"But that damage can be reduced by the Spell/Trap cards each player controls—each Spell/Trap reduces the damage by 500."
The storm howled. Kisaragi's spells and traps shielded her from the worst of it.
"Then I only take 500 damage this turn!" Keith said quickly.
"No," Kisaragi replied, flipping a card with a razor-thin smile. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell Mystical Space Typhoon. I destroy that set card."
Keith's facedown card shattered—leaving him exposed to the full force of Simorgh's end-phase punishment.

The arena fell dead silent. The only sounds were the screaming wind around Simorgh… and Bandit Keith's miserable howl.
