"Stellaron Hunters…"
"And this Asam is also an Emanator of Abundance."
Inside the General's Manor of the Xianzhou Luofu, Teng Xiao spoke in a deep voice.
His expression was heavy—like he'd just heard something too absurd to be real.
Because only moments ago, the Luofu had received fresh intelligence.
Another Abundance Emanator had appeared.
In recent years, the mysterious organization known as the Stellaron Hunters—a group that had seemingly erupted out of nowhere—had drawn attention again, because one of its members, Asam, had displayed unmistakable methods tied to the Path of Abundance.
That single revelation was enough to make the entire cosmos look their way once more.
The Stellaron Hunters had surfaced only a few decades ago. Calling them a "faction" was almost generous—by known records they were barely three people.
Yet among them, Asam and Sam were the most active.
They moved in accordance with Finality, appearing on worlds plagued by Stellaron crises, collecting Stellaron cores—especially those suspected to carry the signature of Destruction.
"Yes, General." Jing Yuan stood to the side, reading from the report in his hand, his tone restrained and grave.
"Not long ago, the Stellaron Hunter called Asam resurfaced. This time his target was a Stellaron located in the Beni star system."
"But in truth, that Stellaron was bait—set by the Interastral Peace Corporation."
"From our assessment, the IPC intended to capture Asam and Sam, then use them to force Elio to reveal himself."
Elio—another member of the Stellaron Hunters—was known in the wider galaxy as the Slave of Destiny.
Rumor had it his authority on the Path of Finality was comparable to an Emanator, granting him the ability to glimpse future branches.
Because of that, countless factions across the cosmos had taken an interest in him—some out of fear, others out of greed.
"However, the IPC miscalculated," Jing Yuan continued. "They assumed the remaining Stellaron Hunters were merely Pathstriders of Finality."
"But during the final ambush, Asam revealed Abundance-aligned capability."
"And after IPC verification, it can be considered essentially confirmed: Asam is an Abundance Emanator."
The outcome was unsurprising.
The IPC could set a net that covered heaven and earth, but to truly subdue an entity on the level of an Emanator—they were still short. Far, far short.
And truthfully, it wasn't entirely the IPC's fault.
Finality was not a Path known for raw martial dominance, and the two Stellaron Hunters had previously shown frightening combat power—but not Emanator-grade.
"This makes the third Abundance Emanator to appear in the cosmos…" Teng Xiao murmured.
Then his gaze sharpened.
"Jing Yuan. What do you think?"
"Could this Asam… be him?"
The air in the hall congealed instantly.
No name was spoken.
None was needed.
It had been decades since that man betrayed the Luofu—yet the shadow he left behind still stabbed into everyone who lived through it like a splinter that would never come out.
After his flight, he had all but vanished from the universe's surface.
The Xianzhou Alliance searched. And searched.
They found nothing.
Not a rumor. Not a trace.
Jing Yuan was silent for a moment before answering, voice carefully steady.
"General… I can't say."
"Judging solely by the identity of 'Abundance Emanator' is insufficient. The evidence isn't enough."
"And that man was an Emanator of Destruction, a Lord Ravager."
"If he wanted Stellaron cores, he wouldn't need to go through such trouble."
He paused—then his eyes narrowed.
"However…"
"The timing of the Stellaron Hunters' emergence is… too coincidental."
"They became active not long after his betrayal."
"In thousands of years, the Alliance only ever had to contend with one Abundance Emanator—Shuhu."
"Now, in such a short span, there are suddenly two more."
"It's difficult not to connect the dots."
He lowered the report slightly.
"But regardless of whether Asam is that person or not…"
"Once the identity of 'Abundance Emanator' is confirmed, the Alliance must treat him as a priority threat."
Teng Xiao gave a slow nod.
The title alone was enough to warrant extreme caution.
After all, the last two Abundance Emanators the Alliance had encountered… both had left blood in their wake.
"Right." Teng Xiao's tone shifted, as if remembering something that never truly stopped gnawing at him.
"Jing Yuan."
"How is this year's census progressing? Does the Diheng Commission have anything to report?"
The census—implemented after that betrayal—had become the Alliance's newest doctrine.
Once every ten years, a sweeping re-verification of the population across the Xianzhou was conducted, meant to prevent another catastrophe like Qingzhou… or another infiltration like Phantylia.
Ten years sounded long, but for Xianzhou lifespans and population scales, it was brutally frequent.
Which only proved how deeply the wound had cut.
Jing Yuan drew a jade communing device from his sleeve. With a light tap, a pale-blue projection unfolded in midair.
"According to the Luofu's census report submitted yesterday…"
"Ninety-seven percent of the population has been verified. No anomalies have been discovered so far."
"The remaining unverified are mostly off-ship merchants and Cloud Knights on assignment. We've already notified the local garrisons to assist with screening."
"Estimated completion: within three months."
"…No problems so far." Teng Xiao exhaled, the sound more weary than relieved.
"I hope that's truly the case."
Then—quietly, almost against his will—he asked the question that always returned.
"And your master… Jingliu. How has she been?"
"My master?" Jing Yuan blinked, then smiled with helpless resignation.
"She's the same as ever."
"She still has no intention of returning to the Luofu."
After that betrayal, the Sword Champion of the Luofu had taken up the identity of a Galaxy Ranger, hunting Destruction forces on worlds ravaged by the Antimatter Legion.
The name Bladeswift Without Flaw rang through the galaxy once more—enough to make Destruction-aligned factions flinch at mere rumor.
"Ah—right." Jing Yuan seemed to recall something, and added,
"Not long ago, Master mentioned she might go to Jarilo."
"The situation there has become severe."
Teng Xiao's brows drew together.
"Jarilo… Jing Yuan, the way you say that—have you been there?"
"…No," Jing Yuan answered honestly. "I just have an old friend from Jarilo."
"I see." Teng Xiao nodded slowly.
"I've heard of that planet as well. Rumor says the IPC has stationed forces there to help resist Destruction."
"If Jingliu intends to intervene, then we'll send word to the IPC as well."
"Coordinate—quietly."
Because whether it was Asam, or Qingzhou, or something else yet unseen…
The galaxy was already shifting.
And the Luofu could no longer afford to be one step behind.
