Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: I’ve Always Been Strong—Stronger Than You Ever Imagined

Whether it was favoritism or something colder, Wei Qing never answered Dan Feng's question.

He simply watched the two of them in silence—while his plunder of the Ambrosial Arbor never stopped.

Silence, more than any excuse, cut the deepest.

"…I understand."

"…We'll stop you." 1pgg1

The last trace of hesitation in Jingliu shattered. She struck.

Dan Feng, too, said no more.

As the Luofu's Sword Champion and the Vidyadhara High Elder, they weren't Emanators—yet their strength was close enough that most Emanators would not dare treat them lightly.

But their opponent was not a "normal" Emanator.

Or rather—no Emanator is normal.

It's just that even among Emanators, there are tiers.

"I've always been strong," Wei Qing said calmly.

"Stronger than you ever imagined."

The gap in power became brutally obvious.

Before they could even see him move, Jingliu and Dan Feng were blasted away as if swatted aside. 1

And then the rest finally arrived—

only to find numbers meant nothing.

The Spirit-General alone was enough to hold the entire Luofu side at bay, sealing them outside the decisive zone like a wall of golden inevitability.

The Ambrosial Arbor's wail sharpened into something almost animal. Its massive root system trembled violently.

"Ugh…!" Dan Feng struggled up from the seawater—only to realize how pale his strength looked against that barbaric extraction. 1pgg1

"…Qingzhou. You've truly given me a wonderful surprise."

A voice—utterly out of place—slid into the battlefield.

A foxian woman appeared at the center like she belonged there.

Phantylia stepped elegantly out of the void, her dress swaying—Destruction trailing her like perfume. 1pgg1

She studied Wei Qing, who was forcibly draining the Arbor's power, and curved her lips in amused appreciation.

Just like the Xianzhou natives, she had been genuinely shocked when Wei Qing publicly declared his betrayal and revealed his identity as a Lord Ravager.

"I thought you were only talking," she laughed softly, the sound coaxing and poisonous at once.

"But you actually did it… That resolve. That cruelty. The beauty of it—how intoxicating."

To be honest, the outcome wasn't what Phantylia wanted.

The Hunt had always been her target. She had invested so much into pushing Wei Qing onto the General's seat because she wanted a "General" on the inside—someone to enable her later strikes against the Alliance.

Yes—Wei Qing's current move would leave the Luofu gravely wounded.

But the profit from that was nowhere near what she could have gained from a long-term infiltrator.

Still… she wasn't truly disappointed.

Because today's "performance" fit her aesthetics perfectly.

The faces of the Xianzhou—those expressions of joy collapsing into disbelief—gave her genuine pleasure. She could already imagine how well she and "Qingzhou" would get along.

Ignoring the hostile stares and fear around her, Phantylia focused entirely on Wei Qing, eyes bright with excitement and curiosity.

"Stealing the Arbor… feeding Destruction with Abundance…" she licked her lips.

"What a brilliant composition."

"So—how will you use this power next? Will you reduce this ancient ship to scorched ash, a grand firework offered to Destruction?"

Her voice trembled with anticipation, like she was watching a play approach its climax.

"That would be wasteful."

"With my authority on Abundance, if I take the Arbor, it becomes fuel for my path of Destruction—not a single-use spectacle."

"Oh?" Phantylia smiled. "So you're planning longer-term."

She didn't push further. She simply watched with interest.

Their conversation—casual, clinical, as if discussing resources—stabbed into Teng Xiao, Jingliu, Dan Feng, and every Luofu soul who could hear it.

"…Phantylia."

"So this was all planned?" 1pgg1

Teng Xiao recognized her immediately. Over the last millennium, he had crossed blades with this Lord Ravager more times than he could count.

"Aiya~ Old General, why so angry?" Phantylia covered her mouth as she laughed—her posture graceful, her mockery unapologetic.

"Such a magnificent show—what a pity it would be without an audience."

"Or do you really think your disciple betrayed you because I 'seduced' him?"

She smoothly removed herself from the blame, then redirected the knife back toward Wei Qing—relishing the way it deepened everyone's despair. 1pgg1

And then—

Wei Qing's Abundance aura finally surged to its peak.

The Arbor's sound became a true lament. The world-spanning giant visibly withered at a terrifying speed.

It looked like a miracle: Abundance's blessing being ripped away by brute force, refined into Destruction's kindling. 1pgg1

"A decent harvest," Wei Qing said flatly—like he'd merely picked a ripe fruit.

"But it's time to leave."

"Oh?" Phantylia sounded almost disappointed. She had been hoping the Luofu would be erased from the universe today.

"With your power now… you're not going to do more?"

"And if you're worried it's unsafe alone," she added, sweetness masking malice, "I can help."

Wei Qing ignored the invitation.

"After a scene this big, the other Xianzhou reinforcements are already on the way."

"If we corner the Alliance too hard, they might pay any price to invoke the Hunt. And if it becomes star-god level…"

"…neither of us will be able to run."

Phantylia fell silent—because it was true.

Together, they probably could destroy the Luofu.

But it would take time.

And before that time ran out, reinforcements would arrive, and escape would become far less certain.

Worse—Wei Qing had touched the point that truly annoyed her.

If the Alliance paid the price, they really could call upon Lan.

That was the most troublesome part of dealing with the Hunt: other Paths didn't react this aggressively. Only the Hunt was this "high-maintenance."

Phantylia clicked her tongue internally—regretful, but satisfied enough with today's outcome. 1pgg1

Destruction gathered around her, tearing open a crack in space.

"After you," she said, making an elegant gesture. "My dear colleague."

Wei Qing didn't hesitate. He stepped into the rift first.

Phantylia followed—but before crossing, she looked back at the shattered Luofu and let out a laugh that made spines go cold.

"Farewell, everyone of the Luofu. I hope you enjoyed your 'succession gift'~"

The suffocating pressure vanished.

What remained was ruin—

and an ice-deep chill lodged in the bone marrow of the Luofu.
