Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: Lord Ravager — “Qingzhou”

Shock—an incomparable, mind-blanking shock.

Terror—an outrageous, world-shattering terror.

Across the vast plaza, tens of thousands of eyes were dragged by some invisible force and nailed to the ceremonial platform—nailed to the figure who should have been bathed in glory, yet now exuded the stench of an abyss.

Silence.

A silence heavier than even an Aeon's descent—one that throttled the Luofu by the throat.

The newly appointed General of the Luofu, the man upon whom everyone had pinned their hopes… had declared, before the entire world, at his own inauguration, that he was a Lord Ravager.

The tide of cheers and honor had not even fully receded—only to be frozen solid by a wave of horror far more violent.

Smiles petrified into pallor.

Admiration twisted into disbelief.

On the platform, Teng Xiao's body trembled violently.

That weather-beaten face now held only fury, heartbreak, and the raw tearing sensation of being betrayed by the person he trusted most.

He stared at Wei Qing, lips quivering—yet no sound would come.

Only his eyes burned as if they might spit fire.

Jingliu's blade—half drawn—stopped there as if time itself had snapped.

The cold edge reflected the storm surging in her eyes.

Her voice, usually so clear and calm, carried the faintest tremor as she forced out two syllables:

"…Wei Qing?"

Until—

A dragon's roar ripped the air apart.

"Wei Qing—do you even understand what you're doing?!"

Among all present, Imbibitor Lunae Dan Feng was the first to react.

Dragon authority surged, trying to press down that heaven-flooding Destruction aura.

But in his eyes, beyond anger, there was a deeper pain: incomprehension.

This was the comrade who had fought beside him, drunk with him, laughed with him—

How could he become calamity now?

"I understand perfectly." Wei Qing's voice was terrifyingly calm—cold enough to strip away all humanity. "More clearly than I ever have."

"Wretch!!!"

Teng Xiao finally exploded.

Though the Spirit-General had already been transferred, the former General's might and presence still carried the weight of a mountain.

The Hunt's power condensed into tangible pressure, crashing down toward Wei Qing.

"…All Cloud Knights, hear my command."

"Seize this traitor!"

The order was given.

Even if their hearts were drowning in horror, the Cloud Knights moved on instinct—on loyalty burned into the bones.

Armor clashed. Blades hissed free. Formations snapped into place.

A forest of spearpoints and arrowheads rose toward the platform.

But Wei Qing did not move even a single step.

He only raised his hand, slowly, as Destruction coiled around his fingertips like a living curse.

"Master… comrades…"

Wei Qing's gaze swept across familiar faces—faces now drowned in shock and pain.

"The bonds of yesterday end here."

The instant the words fell—

The energy at his fingertips erupted.

Not toward anyone.

But upward.

BOOM—!!

A thunderous detonation tore the air apart. A violent shockwave packed with Destruction surged outward like a death-storm, swallowing the plaza.

Smoke. Dust. Ruinous aftershock.

In that haze, Wei Qing rose—floating—higher and higher, until he stood above the chaos like a judge above an execution ground.

White hair whipping in the wind.

Golden eyes without warmth.

Destruction boiling around him like black tides.

"Why?!" Jing Yuan's voice cracked, raw and hoarse, as if his throat had been torn open. "Wei Qing! Tell me why—what happened to you?!"

Bai Heng tried to raise her bow, but her hands shook so badly she couldn't lock on to the silhouette that used to be so familiar.

"Wei Qing… wake up! Is it Abundance corrupting you? Or…!"

"No need to seek a reason." Wei Qing cut her off, mercilessly. "I am who I am. Hunt, Abundance, Destruction—each is my power. Today I simply chose the road with greater value."

"The Alliance is rotten. Stagnant. Its end was written long ago. The Rupture has seen it—Destruction is the only path to rebirth."

"And I will perform that sacred rite with my own hands. Beginning with the Luofu."

"Madman!" Ying Xing roared, sword in hand—yet even he didn't know where to point it. "You're a complete madman!"

"Stop him!"

Teng Xiao's voice carried a resolve born from grief.

It was the last command of the former General—the heaviest command he would ever give.

"…Cloud Knights of the Luofu."

"Follow me… seize this fiend."

The last scraps of warmth and illusion shattered.

Reality—cold and poisoned—drove into every heart like an ice spike.

Jingliu's sword finally slid fully free.

Her blade-light was colder than ever—

and yet it carried the faintest tremble, so small you could almost pretend it wasn't there.

She and Dan Feng exchanged a look.

No words needed.

Two streaks of light tore across the sky—one sword, one dragon—striking for Wei Qing from left and right.

A pincer that would make even an ordinary Emanator flinch.

Wei Qing merely looked down at them—indifferent.

The swordlight and dragon-shadow reached him—

and then slowed, as if sinking into an invisible mire.

Wei Qing did not kill them.

He only flicked a finger.

A casual gesture.

Bang—!!

Jingliu and Dan Feng were blasted away like meteors struck by a colossal unseen hammer, thrown back faster than they had come, smashing into the air and raising towering plumes of dust.

After deflecting another wave of Teng Xiao's assaults, Wei Qing borrowed the force, turning and shooting into the heavens.

Now he stood high above the Luofu, Destruction rolling outward like ink-black seas.

Below, the shockwaves had not even fully faded.

Screams and chaos became the grandest accompaniment to his declaration.

Wei Qing knew this moment was being watched.

Even if not everyone… then at least enough.

Across the cosmos, eyes would turn toward this ceremony.

He lifted his chin, golden gaze sweeping over faces twisted with rage, terror, agony—

then beyond them, beyond the Luofu's barrier—

to the infinite star-sea.

"I am Destruction."

The words pierced the clouds, echoed through every corner of the Luofu, and punched through its shields—spreading outward into the universe like a broadcasted catastrophe.

"Arrogant!" Teng Xiao roared, launching up again.

Jingliu and Dan Feng stabilized midair. Swordlight and dragon-cry rose once more.

This time they held nothing back.

They would suppress Wei Qing, no matter the cost.

And at last—

Wei Qing moved.

He slowly spread his arms, as if to embrace the entire Luofu.

"Countless trillions of living beings across the cosmos…"

"Remember my name."

"I am a Lord Ravager who walks the Path of Destruction."

"My name is—"

Qingzhou.

"Lord Ravager—Qingzhou."
