9:30 PM.
Within the silence of the dimly lit room, a symphony of passion echoed against the wooden walls. The rhythmic collision of bodies created a primal, intoxicating beat, while upon the wall, large dark shadows danced wildly—the silhouette of two souls merged in an inseparable bond. The scent of sweat mingled with the heating fragrance of soap, thick enough to be both suffocating and addictive.
Finally, as the rhythm reached its peak and their bodies trembled in synchronized waves, they reached the summit together. For a moment, there was no movement, no sound save for ragged gasps and the frantic thrumming of hearts beating against each other's ears.
Naoki withdrew from the heavenly warmth enveloping his prize, which was still protected by a thin layer of latex. He let out a long exhale and slumped beside Tenka, letting their still-quivering bodies sink into the softness of the mattress.
Both were breathing heavily, their chests heaving unevenly as their skin glistened under the low lamplight. In the quiet following the storm, they gazed at each other, sharing a satisfied smile understood only by those who had just reached the "top of the world" together.
"Ufufu... Naoki-kun." Tenka whispered, her voice still slightly hoarse yet laced with a teasing lilt. "Incredible. That felt truly wonderful. After trying it just once, I feel like I've been caught in your spell. I think I'm addicted; I want to feel it again, and again, and again."
Naoki smiled at the confession. "I'm glad to hear it. Sex is supposed to be something enjoyed by both parties, not just a release for one person. If you're happy, then I'm much more satisfied."
They lay in a comfortable silence for a while. Tenka traced her fingertips across Naoki's chest, drawing small, idle circles without any particular pattern.
"Naoki-kun."
"Hm?"
Tenka lifted her head from his shoulder, meeting his gaze with a look more serious than before.
"How is Yachiho's progress?"
Naoki furrowed his brow, unsure where the conversation was headed. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, is she pregnant yet?" Tenka tilted her head slightly, her blonde hair shifting across the pillow. "You've been doing it without a condom with her, haven't you? With that kind of frequency, your seed should have started to take root by now, right?"
"..."
Naoki fell silent. He raised his right hand to rub his face before finally answering with a hint of exhaustion.
"I'm powerless on that front."
"I've tried my best, Tenka. Believe me. But as for whether a woman gets pregnant or not... that's out of my hands. It's not something I can control."
"I'm leaving it all to fate."
Tenka giggled at his response, her body shaking gently beneath the blankets. "It's funny hearing you talk like that. You don't look like the type of man who just resigns himself to fate, Naoki-kun."
Naoki raised his hand, letting it fall back onto the bed with a soft thud.
"I've learned that there are some things you just can't force. I can influence the probability, but I can't dictate the final result."
"That sounds remarkably scientific for someone who just used the word 'fate'."
"Contradiction is part of being human."
Tenka laughed again, louder this time, and Naoki could feel the vibration of her laughter traveling from her shoulder through his entire body. Once the laughter subsided, Tenka sighed and looked at him, her eyes still sparkling.
"Fine. I'll stop asking about it. It's between the two of you, anyway."
The two of them lapsed back into silence, but this time it was a different kind of quiet.
"Oh, by the way, starting tomorrow, I don't need to go to the First Unit anymore." Naoki shared the good news. "Riu-sensei has declared that I've graduated from her training."
Tenka's eyes lit up. She sat up slightly and kissed Naoki's forehead. "Congratulations on your graduation! I knew you could do it quickly. That means, starting tomorrow, you'll begin your actual duties with the Anti-Demon Corps."
They continued their light chatter, letting drowsiness slowly settle in. Not long after, Naoki reached out to switch off the bedside lamp, plunging the room into a cozy darkness before they finally drifted off, locked in each other's arms.

The following day.
That morning, Naoki stood before the mirror, straightening the Anti-Demon Corps uniform that had been specially tailored for him.
He made his way to the dining hall, but upon arriving at the table, he frowned. He only saw Tenka and Sahara already seated there.
"Where's Yachiho?" he asked, taking his seat beside Tenka.
Looking up, Tenka tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear with an elegant motion. "Yachiho seems to be feeling a bit under the weather this morning. I called her for breakfast, but she declined and said she wanted to rest in her room a bit longer."
Tenka gave him a meaningful smile before continuing. "Because of that, you'll be taking over her patrol shift today, Naoki-kun."
"Sure."
Naoki nodded easily, not minding the double duty at all. For him, with the Peach Blessing «Ame-no-Mitori», the concept of distance and patrol area was negligible; he could displace himself in the blink of an eye if needed.
Tenka then turned toward Sahara, who sat across from them. The girl was listlessly chewing on a sandwich, her eyes heavy and bleary as if her soul hadn't quite returned to her body yet.
"Sahara-chin. You'll be accompanying Naoki-kun on patrol today. Please guide him well, as this is his first time on active field duty."
Sahara swallowed her last bite with a struggle, then leaned back in her chair with a small yawn.
"Hoammm... I get it, Chief~. I don't mind, as long as nothing too troublesome happens today."
With Sahara's confirmation, Naoki began to eat his breakfast. The atmosphere in the dining room was peaceful, accompanied only by the clinking of cutlery as they prepared themselves for the dangers that might be lurking within Mato today.
