Chapter 65: Braver Finn
He guessed instantly that Loki had likely discovered some unusual qualities about him, which was why she was so persistent, trying to poach him repeatedly.
Otherwise, even if he had demonstrated the feat of defeating a higher-level opponent, a top faction overflowing with talent like the Loki Familia shouldn't be so obsessed with a rookie like him.
"Tch, I knew it wouldn't be that simple."
Loki pouted, but when her gaze inadvertently swept over the [Adventurer's Experience Book] glowing faintly in Lefiya's hand, her eyes visibly lit up.
She turned back, patting Aiden on the shoulder meaningfully. "But, you're quite generous, kid. I like you even more now."
With that, she stopped mentioning the recruitment, pulled her hood back up, and retreated to Finn's side.
"Hello. I am Finn Deimne. Apologies, our goddess has caused you trouble."
A small, blond Prum youth with a steady aura stepped forward and extended his hand to Aiden.
He had a gentle smile on his face, but his eyes scanned Aiden imperceptibly.
"Also, thank you for taking care of Lefiya from our Familia."
"Hello, the renowned 'Braver'."
Aiden shook his hand, responding politely. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Miss Lefiya is a Lv. 3 Second-Class Adventurer with great strength; she certainly didn't need my care."
However, the moment their palms touched, the smile on Finn's face froze slightly, and a flash of surprise passed through his eyes.
He quickly regained his composure, released his hand, and smiled. "Congratulations on leveling up. If you have time, let's have a drink together."
Hearing Finn's words, Aiden smiled bitterly in his heart.
As expected of the "Braver," Orario's top strategist and powerhouse. Just a brief handshake was enough for him to detect the change in Aiden's level.
Of course, this was also because Aiden had just leveled up and hadn't fully adapted to his new body yet.
Once he adapted to the power of Lv. 2, unless he said it himself, people generally wouldn't be able to tell his adventurer level.
Otherwise, the Hermes Familia wouldn't have been able to hide their levels from everyone until now.
"Hah?! You leveled up, kid?!"
Beside them, Bete twitched his wolf ears, looking at Aiden with disbelief.
How many days had this guy been an adventurer? And he was already Lv. 2?
"Why are you so surprised?"
Aiden glanced at him and asked back, "I've been training since I was a child. After joining a Familia, I went through a period of adventure and have been in Orario for a while. Isn't leveling up normal?"
"Uh..." Bete was momentarily speechless.
True, he didn't know exactly when Aiden had received his Falna.
And he knew better than anyone that Aiden had trained hard since childhood.
Thinking about it that way... it didn't seem entirely incomprehensible.
"Wow, leveled up? Congratulations, Aiden!"
Tiona leaned in excitedly, then blinked her big eyes curiously, looking between Aiden and Bete. "By the way, are you close with this stupid wolf?"
"We were friends when we were kids."
Aiden explained simply, "We just lost contact after he came to Orario."
"Ehh—?! Bete actually has friends?!" Tiona shouted in shock, as if she had heard a world-shattering wonder.
This sentence instantly lit the powder keg.
Veins popped on Bete's forehead as he glared at her viciously. "Shut up, you idiot Amazon! Whether I have friends or not is none of your damn business!"
"Hah?! Who are you calling an idiot Amazon, you grumpy stupid wolf?!" Tiona retorted, not backing down.
Seeing the two about to start brawling again, Lefiya hurriedly rushed in between them to mediate, barely managing to separate the bickering pair.
After a small farce, Finn and the others also stepped forward to touch the Domain Instance portal. Detailed information about the "Midsummer Courtyard" appeared in everyone's minds.
"I see... so this is a 'Domain Instance'..." Finn digested the information, his eyes shining with intelligence.
He looked up, his gaze falling on Aiden.
Aiden understood Finn's meaning instantly.
The Loki Familia was determined to take this second round.
He laughed freely and said, "Don't worry about us. Our Magic Stones are exhausted, so we could only enter this one time anyway. Please, take the remaining chances."
"Thank you." Finn nodded solemnly, expressing his gratitude.
Such a precious dungeon only had three clear chances.
No one could guarantee when or where this dungeon would appear again after being cleared.
Therefore, Finn absolutely did not want to miss this opportunity.
Aiden's proactive concession was undoubtedly the best outcome.
Aiden didn't mind.
This Domain Instance appeared because of his skill [Abyss Gazed Back]. For others, it was a rare encounter.
But for him, as long as he continued to delve into the Dungeon, he would likely encounter it every day.
Trading one chance for the goodwill of Orario's strongest Familia—this deal was a guaranteed profit.
"Since I'm helping, I might as well be thorough."
Aiden looked at the legendary "Braver" before him, a smile appearing on his face as he decided to share the intelligence fully.
"Although the monsters in the instance aren't high-level, their coordination is troublesome. The ordinary Hilichurls and Slimes rely on numbers, but the real threats are the two Lv. 3 monsters."
He recounted the details of the battle one by one, from the Hilichurls and Slimes to the deceptively tough defense of the Large Slimes, explaining everything clearly.
Lefiya listened from the side, nodding occasionally to add details, but she soon realized that the information she could provide was far less systematic and detailed than Aiden's.
"The most important thing to watch out for is that Electro Cicin Mage."
Aiden's tone became serious. "Her most dangerous ability is teleportation. She can ignore the frontline blockade and appear directly beside the rear guard. For adventurers encountering this ability for the first time, it's practically a fatal strike that can easily cause casualties."
Finn listened intently, his thumb resting against his chin, thoughtful light flickering in his azure eyes.
Riveria's brows furrowed slightly as well, clearly assessing the threat of this ability.
As for Bete, although he still looked impatient on the surface, his twitching wolf ears proved he was listening carefully too.
"Thank you for the intelligence, Mr. Aiden. This is critical," Finn said solemnly.
"It's nothing," Aiden waved his hand. "Well then, the stage is yours. We'll be going ahead."
With that, he turned and led Robin, Tifa, and Hyacine toward the path to the 13th Floor.
