Chapter 68 - Can You Do This Too?

Gaderia Demon Special Zone.

At home, Jane patiently wiped 'Father's' skull. She had once determined that this was the only keepsake 'Father' had left her, and every so often, Jane would take it out of its storage box to clean it.

Every time she picked up this skull, Jane felt as if 'Father' were right beside her.

Although she now had a new 'Mother,' for some reason, Jane just couldn't forget that person.

'Mother' was still resting and recovering in the quiet back mountain due to spiritual damage. Aura had left early in the morning, saying she was going to receive a Demon envoy. Linie was running back and forth, busy between the Association and learning culinary arts. At this moment, only Jane was left at home.

Because Qual lost a game to Aaron yesterday, he was going to compete with Aaron again. Usually at this time, Qual would drag her along to experiment with new magic or research the magic within her body.

Jane hadn't received any new books recently, and staying home alone was a bit stifling. Looking at the books on the shelf, Jane sighed—a rare occurrence.

"It feels a bit boring."

Due to her status as a Great Demon, Nanoda didn't assign her miscellaneous chores like the ordinary Demon soldiers. She let Jane follow her own whims completely.

After stroking the polished skull a couple of times, Jane carefully placed it back into the wooden box and closed the lid.

Covering the wooden box with her own plush pillow, Jane, dressed in a white dress, went out just like that.

With Aaron's support, the Mutually Loving Demon Association had already established a modest headquarters building within the Demon Special Zone.

Jane, who had originally intended to just wander around, happened to arrive here. Seeing no one guarding the entrance, she quietly walked into the courtyard.

Inside the Association's courtyard, many Demons were practicing magic.

Lugner gently sliced his finger open with a small knife. Under the effect of Blood Control Magic, the blood transformed into flexible, curving whip-blades. With a light flick of his hand, the blood blade flew out, directly slicing through the iron target used for testing. As he retracted his finger and struck down again, the blood blade retracted and thrust out, piercing the bullseye of the adjacent iron target.

Under Lugner's control, the blood whip-blade that had pierced the iron target retracted, returning to its original state and re-entering his finger, leaving only a shallow scar.

Looking at the remaining three iron targets, Lugner raised his finger once more. The blood forked, transforming into three blood spikes that perforated all the iron targets in an instant.

Withdrawing his magic, Lugner nodded in satisfaction. Just then, he sensed an uninvited guest.

"So amazing. So you can do it too."

Jane walked towards Lugner from a corner at the edge.

"You are?"

Sensing the immense mana radiating from Jane, which was in no way inferior to Lady Aura's, Lugner asked respectfully.

Although the Jane before him was a young girl shorter than himself, the Demon Race revered mana capacity, strength, and magic above all else. He could not be deceived by Jane's youthful appearance; in reality, Lugner was already viewing himself from the standpoint of a junior compared to Jane.

Moreover, Lugner recognized her. This was the Demon who always followed behind Nanoda's butt and loved reading books. He hadn't observed closely before, but he hadn't expected this one to be a Great Demon as well.

"Jane."

Jane's innocent, expressionless gaze met Lugner's as she continued.

"That blood of yours, is it the same as mine?"

"Uh, are you referring to my Blood Control Magic?"

"Blood Control...?"

"That's right. This is a magic I created suitable for myself. I can manipulate my own blood, compressing and reinforcing it to strike. I can perform various different techniques."

Lugner explained patiently. He didn't think that with just these few words of explanation, the magic he had painstakingly researched for so long would be learned by this Great Demon named Jane. Furthermore, a Great Demon's magic should be far superior to his own, and she wouldn't disdain to learn a magic like his.

From beginning to end, Lugner believed this was merely out of Jane's curiosity, and indeed, that was the case.

The other Demons nearby also looked over curiously. Someone who could make Lugner so respectful must be another big shot.

"Can it not regenerate?"

Jane tilted her head. Her short white hair swayed, and her crimson eyes glimmered.

"It is a pity, but I cannot do that. If my blood could regenerate, I wouldn't need to control the precision and recycle it like this with my magic; I could simply output it by volume. Consuming excessive blood would also place a great burden on my body." Lugner shook his head.

"Is that so? Can you lend me that?" Jane pointed at the small knife Lugner held in his hand.

"Here."

Jane took the small knife and slashed it directly across her arm!

Under Lugner's astonished gaze, she swung her arm toward an iron target. Catalyzed by Eternal Life Magic, super-high-speed regeneration squeezed the blood out, transforming it into a column that directly punched through and swallowed the iron target. Of the entire target, only a single pole remained.

"How about it? Can you do this too?"

After seeing this scene, Lugner realized this was a level he could absolutely not reach. That blood was released as if it cost nothing.

"I definitely cannot do that. As expected of Miss Jane, truly amazing."

"Mm, are you praising me? The book says... when praised, this is the time to say... thank you."

This move of Jane's was specifically researched for her by Qual. Initially, Qual was just studying Jane's eerie regenerative power. Inadvertently, Qual thought of combining regeneration with Killing Magic. By using super-fast regeneration to strike with the same effect as Killing Magic, and after experimentation, Jane successfully mastered this new combat style.

"I am unworthy of such words." Lugner was extremely humble, but he felt a bit uncomfortable in his heart. He didn't like geniuses. Without a doubt, Jane was a genius. However, this was only because he didn't understand Jane's background; anyone who saw Jane's 'Eternal Life' magic would be astonished.

And this scene happened to be witnessed by Aura and Macht, who had come over for a tour.

"Gaderia is truly teeming with talent—oh no, with Demon talent."

Macht immediately recognized that this Demon was extraordinary. He hadn't expected another Great Demon to exist here. Gaderia's strength was truly unfathomable.

"This is the Mutually Loving New Demon Association, an association specifically dedicated to researching humans and magic, and cultivating New Demons with thoughts and minds. At the same time, this is also a place for Demons to interact and confirm their strength."

Aura spoke expressionlessly, as if reading from a script. These were all lines Nanoda had prepared for her beforehand.

"Truly interesting. I have seen many things I had never experienced before."

When the two entered while conversing, they attracted the attention of everyone present.

"It's Lady Aura."

"Is that Lord Macht beside her?!"

"Greetings to the Seven Sages of Destruction!"

Some Demons shouted fanatically. Although no expressions could be seen on their faces, worshipping the strong was their instinct.

"Eh? One I haven't seen..."

Jane looked toward the unfamiliar Macht at the side.
