The Demon stared at him for several seconds.
Then—
It smiled.
A genuine one this time.
"…Good answer."
Suddenly, crimson mana began expanding violently from [Igris'] body again.
Adoff's face paled instantly.
"Alex! Move!"
But Alex didn't.
His eyes narrowed slightly.
The Demon was forcing all its remaining mana outward at once.
Self-destruction.
The entire cavern would disappear.
"I won't lose…" [Igris] whispered. "Even in death…"
Cracks spread across its skin as unstable energy leaked from every wound.
The cave began collapsing faster.
Adoff grabbed Ezra immediately.
"We need to RUN!"
But Alex remained motionless.
Staring directly at the Demon.
Then—
Slowly—
He smiled again.
"…Finally serious, huh?"
The cavern groaned like a dying beast.
Massive cracks spread across the walls while chunks of stone crashed downward endlessly. The crimson mana leaking from [Igris] had become completely unstable now, swallowing the surroundings in violent pulses of energy.
