Leo rushed out of the villa the instant he heard the thud and the sharp gasp.
Aria was on the ground just outside the corridor. Three Purist girls stood over her, laughing as they took turns stomping down on her side and back. One of them had her foot planted firmly on Aria's shoulder, grinding it down while the others kicked at her legs and ribs.
Aria curled in on herself, trying to protect her head, breathing in short, pained gasps.
Leo's vision narrowed.
Kai'sa and Garrett burst out right behind him, drawn by the noise. Kai'sa's ocean-blue eyes widened in horror. Garrett's face went hard.
The lead Purist girl looked up, smirk widening when she saw Leo.
"Oh look, the commoner pet arrived," she drawled, pressing her foot harder into Aria's shoulder. "You really think you can just bring this disgrace into our villa and expect us to accept it?"
Another girl laughed and delivered a sharp kick to Aria's thigh.
