Malo successfully survived whatever wild madness he had just experienced out in the woods. He was finally able to locate the gym doors and barged right inside, breathing heavily like someone who had just barely survived a brutal war.
"Thank goodness I did not die out there tonight…" Malo said, holding his chest tight as his heart pounded against his ribs.
Then he looked straight forward and saw his best friend and her Beta, Bambi, happily eating pizza together, both of them acting like nothing crazy had even happened tonight. They were casually sitting right on the blue gym mat.
"Faye, Bambi…" Malo called out loudly as he walked over toward them, his legs still shaking slightly.
"Hey, bro. Welcome back. You want some pizza?" Faye offered him a slice, but bro was far too busy staring directly at his best friend in total disbelief.
He had so many damn questions rushing through his head right now.
