Tisha was still talking about the play. She looked like someone who was really interested in it and a true believer of the Hungry Fool.
Princess was beside Faye, not even listening to whatever Tisha was saying. She sat entirely rigid in her chair, her broad shoulders tense as her gaze locked onto the side of her girl's face.
Some people were busy making noises with their forks and plates while eating.
"How long are you going to take to finish that?" Princess said. Her voice was flat, her lungs expanding with a slow, heavy breath that told Faye her patience was running out.
Faye had been eating really slowly to stall for time because after dinner they were heading home.
