While the whole school was busy celebrating Beam becoming President, one classroom was silent, it had Malo who sat down on a desk closer to the door, incase someone loses control he was going to be the first to race out of the class, it had the newly crowned vice president sitting down on the teachers desk, and Sasha who happens to be on the tablet which Haley dropped on the table, she wasn't present in the classroom. The front lens of the screen showed her sitting in the cafeteria with a thick bandage wrapped around her neck. And Faye who sat down in the front row by the window… Her fingers tapped a restless rhythm against the wood, her eyes tracking the dark shadows of the trees outside.
All waiting for someone to say something… The thick, awkward quiet hung heavily over the rows of empty chairs, the low hum of the air conditioner being the only sound filling the space.
