School finally ended ,but Irene's day wasn't done. While everyone else walked out laughing ,She dragged her feet towards the detention room Muttering under her breath ."8 oh 1, just one minute late and now i'm a criminal".
As she turned the corner, she froze, standing there leaning casually against the hallways with hands in his pockets was the one person she really wanted to yell at yuan mi .
Her eyes widened."perfect timing ,fate time for round two " she thought as she stomped towards him, determination burning in her chest.
"Hey,you!we need to talk" she declared. yuan looked up slightly amused "Do we" he asked."yes we do ! because of you, I was late to assemble, my pancakes died,I got detention,and my life is officially ruined. she complained ."oh , really, looks like you had a rough day, but you shouldn't push the blames to me"he retorted
" push the blame on you, i'm being truthful ,it was all your fault so you have to compensate me" she announced. yuan raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained
" compensate you? for tripping, glaring and existing" . he rhetorically asked . " hey, you don't get to joke about this ! i suffered emotional and physical damages" Irene protested. he tilted his head , slightly , pretending to think then said calmly "it was clearly your fault for not paying attention while skating "." what?it was basically your fault for appearing at my front out of the blue, standing there being -being..." she insisted" handsome?" he
interrupted teasing her. Irene's cheeks were flared red "I was gonna say annoying!" she remarked. He chuckled softly and for a split second,she saw the faintest smile. did she miss something or was all the rumors about him being cold just a little made up . " Tell you what, I'll get you out of detention,under one condition,you owe me a favor".he said.her eyes sparkled instantly without a second thought she agreed"deal!". yuan turned to leave. "wait what kind of favor?" she enquired. he paused,looked back, smirked and said " guess you 'll find out soon kitten ".
Later in the detention room, Irene sat tapping her pencil dramatically." ugh why did I trust him?, he's probably laughing at me right now while I rot in here like a forgotten sandwich.
just then, the door creaked opened. The principal walked in, sweating bullets, his smile shaking like jelly.
nervously he asked" Ms Irene lou!H-how are you doing today dear ?". Irene blinked " uh...fine?". The principal rushed forward placing a cup of juice on her desk. "please take this ! you must be thirsty." Irene looked around" is this ...a prank? she asked. the principal laughed nervously "oh no,no, of course not! actually you are free to go! No detention for you , miss lou! you're -uh-special circumstances. Irene blinked confused thrilled "Wait, ,really I can go". " Yes ,yes, yes, immediately. Enjoy the rest of your day miss lou " he said . She was surprised she wanted to ask for the reason behind the principal's behavior but the c-boys concert was almost starting and she wouldn't miss it for the world .she stood , grabbed her backpack and dashed out- but right as she left, she spotted yuan mi leaning against the wall near the exit , phone in hand , eyes cool and unreadable.He looked up and simply said " you're welcome".Her jaw dropped " what did you do?" He smirked slightly " let's just say... the principal values my opinions. She gauked "you threatened him, didn't you?". " I call it persuasion" yuan shrugs and answered ."
