Chapter 61 - The Secret Written in Air :

The servant's strange unstill behavior was enough to make Zavian freeze.

He stood there motionless questions stormed thought his mind..one after another yet none of them mad sense.

His deep, suspicious eyes searched her face for answers—but all he found was an eerie silence.

In the very next moment, the servant quickened her pace on the stairs.

She was heading straight toward Sheyaan's room. Every step she took seemed to scream that danger was near.

The corridor fell into a heavy silence, as if it was warning of an approaching storm.

Down in the hall, Zavian was still caught in confusion. His heart pounded rapidly with an unknown fear.

But the next second, he steadied himself and muttered in a cold, icy tone,

"Who was... that woman? And..what is she doing upstairs?!"

The thought hit him like lightning—Sheyaan.

His heart dropped, and his eyes widened in shock and fear. The moment her name crossed his mind,

he called out in a trembling, heavy voice,

"Sheyaan!"

Without wasting a second, Zavian rushed toward her room. But by then, the servant had already reached Sheyaan's door.

She stopped there, glanced at the room one last time, and with a dark, mysterious smile, whispered,

"Soon… you'll have to repay the debt!"

And the moment she stepped forward—

In a flash, the entire hall was filled with a blinding white light. It was so intense that it forced the eyes shut…

And in the very next moment, the servant had completely vanished.

The air remained cold heavy as if Something still lingered--as if the Servant's presence didn't completely faded away.

Unaware of everything that had just happened, Sheyaan stepped out of her bathroom after a shower.

Adjusting the towel wrapped around her body and her damp hair, she stood in front of the mirror.

But suddenly, she felt something… off. As if the atmosphere in the room had changed… as if someone was watching her from the darkness.

With soft, uneasy eyes, Sheyaan glanced toward the door. Her heart started beating faster as she whispered to herself,

"Is someone..standing near the door…?"

A strange uneasiness crept over her. Wrapping her wet hair in the towel, she slowly walked toward the door.

Her hand trembled as it reached for the handle—and she suddenly pulled it open.

But outside, there was nothing—only the silent, empty corridor. No servant, no shadow.

Taking a deep breath, Sheyaan murmured softly,

"Hmm… there's no one here. Then why did it feel like someone was standing right here?"

She didn't realize that the very shadow she feared… might still be close to her, just beyond her sight.

Sheyaan took a deep breath and tried to calm herself.

"Maybe it was just...my imagination…" she muttered.

She closed the door and walked back to the mirror. Removing the towel from her hair,

she had just picked up the hairdryer when her eyes suddenly fell on the floor.

A lizard was crawling there.

The moment she saw it, her eyes widened in fear and a sharp scream echoed through the hall:

"Aaaaahhh! Aaaahh! Help!"

Terrified, she started jumping and stumbling around in panic. Her scream reached Zavian, who was already rushing upstairs in a worried state.

Hearing her voice, his heart almost leapt out of his chest. He doubled his speed and reached her door in an instant.

Without thinking, Zavian pushed the door open with full force and rushed inside, slightly out of breath.

His eyes scanned the room frantically—every instinct of his searching for Sheyaan.

Then he saw her—standing near the mirror, completely terrified.

Without wasting a second, Zavian ran to her and pulled her into his arms.

Sheyaan, already trembling with fear, immediately clung to his chest.

She was shocked, her eyes wide—she had never imagined Zavian would hold her so protectively.

Zavian himself was shaken. In a trembling yet intense voice, he whispered near her ear,

"Nothing will happen..to you. I'm here."

There was a strong sense of reassurance in his voice, something that slowly eased Sheyaan's fear.

She paused for a moment, then softly nodded,

"Hmm…"

When Zavian saw Sheyaan in such a terrified state, his heart sank. Gently stroking her head, he asked in a deeply worried voice,

"Are you okay?! Sheyaan, say something!"

Sheyaan, still shaken by the lizard and also surprised by Zavian's sudden, intense concern, replied innocently,

"No… I'm not okay."

Hearing this, Zavian almost lost control. He quickly pulled her slightly back, looked deeply into her eyes with pure concern,

and cupped her face in his hands as he asked in a trembling voice,

"What happened? Are you.. hurt? Did it do something..to you?! Tell me, Sheyaan… what did..it do?!"

His tone carried such fear, as if he had seen something truly terrifying.

Sheyaan had never seen him like this before. A little scared but still calm, she answered softly,

"So far… I'm not hurt anywhere."

What Sheyaan didn't realize was that Zavian wasn't afraid of the lizard… but of that "shadow" that had just disappeared near the door.

His breathing was still uneven, and his hands remained on her face—as if he needed to make sure she was truly safe.

Seeing the clear worry on Zavian's face Sheyaan couldn't help but feel a little surprised but her fear was stronger.

It forced the words out of her voice trem bled as she said.

"But if I... keep standing here like this..." it might.. bite me.

Her words only made Zavian more concerned. He asked seriously,

"What will bite you? Huh? Tell me!"

He had barely finished his question when suddenly, the same lizard on the floor started moving quickly toward Sheyaan.

The moment she saw it coming closer, she panicked badly and without thinking, let out a loud scream—

"Aaaaaahhh!"

—and jumped straight into Zavian's lap.

Zavian, who had been expecting some dangerous threat or enemy, was completely shocked by her sudden move.

He froze for a second, then quickly regained himself and grabbed her by the waist, holding her tightly so she wouldn't fall.

Still trembling with fear, Sheyaan clung to him and said in a rushed voice,

"Please make it go.. away! It's coming toward me!"

Zavian was confused and slightly stunned. He looked around and said,

"Who is coming, Sheyaan? I don't see..anything here!"

Sheyaan, still panicking, insisted,

"Look at the..floor, please!"

As soon as Zavian looked down, his eyes widened slightly. He took a deep breath and said, a bit annoyed,

"Huh! You're...scared of a lizard?!"

Sheyaan glared at him and made a small, innocent face as she said,

"Don't joke around! Just make it...go away, please! Look at it—it looks so... dangerous!"

Sheyaan was still sitting in Zavian's lap out of fear, and the terror in her eyes was clearly visible.

Hearing her childish panic, a hint of softness appeared on Zavian's face for a moment.

He thought for a second, then said in a calm, gentle voice,

"Alright… get dawan first. I'll make it go away.

Zavian tried to up help her down reaching out calmly but Sheyaan still overwhelmed by fear.

Refused to let go instead she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck clinging to him as if he were her only safety.

Her voice rose in panic as she shouted.

"No… no! I'm... not getting down. You make it..go away first!"

Zavian didn't argue further. As soon as he glanced at the floor, he noticed that the lizard had

already climbed up the wall and disappeared on its own. Seeing this, he said quietly,

"It's..gone."

Sheyaan still had her eyes tightly shut. Slowly, she asked while looking toward him,

"Really…?"

Zavian replied in his usual flat, emotionless tone,

"See for yourself."

Hearing this, Sheyaan slowly opened her eyes, squinting slightly, and turned to look at the floor.

There was no lizard anymore. Sheyaan let out a deep breath of relief.

Just then, Zavian—who was still holding her—said in his usual flat but slightly unsteady tone,

"Are you going to.. get down now or.. not?"

Hearing this, Sheyaan got a little nervous and slowly climbed down from his lap.

But innocent as she was, she had no idea in what state she was standing in front of him.

Looking at her, Zavian asked softly,

"Since when are you... this scared of a..tiny lizard?"

Sheyaan nodded innocently,

"Hmm!"

Then after thinking for a moment, she asked,

"What did you...think it was?"

Zavian hid his worry—and the matter about the servant—and replied plainly,

"Nothing."

Sheyaan gave a small nod and walked toward the mirror. But the moment her eyes fell on her reflection, she froze in shock.

Covering her mouth, she screamed loudly,

"Nooooohhh!"

Hearing her scream, Zavian quickly turned back—and his eyes landed directly on the towel wrapped around her body.

He hadn't paid attention to it before, but now that reality hit him, he was completely shocked. He immediately looked away.

Sheyaan's face turned red with embarrassment. Making a small awkward face, she said softly,

"I'm..so sorry...!"

Stammering slightly and blushing, Sheyaan looked away and said softly,

"Can you… please go outside? I need to...change."

Zavian immediately lowered his gaze. Slipping his hand into his pocket, he cleared his throat lightly and replied in a calm voice,

"Hmm… alright."

With that, he gave a faint, restrained smile and quietly walked out of the room.

As soon as he left, Sheyaan let out a deep breath of relief and sat down on the chair in front of the mirror.

Holding her head, she started muttering to herself,

"What just happened… how can I..be so stupid! Now… now what will he think.. about me? Aaahh!"

Thinking about it, she started flailing her hands and feet in embarrassment and frustration.

Meanwhile, as Zavian stepped out into the hallway, his footsteps suddenly stopped. For a moment, it felt like his heart skipped a beat.

His gaze fell ahead—where glowing white letters were floating in the air.

The light was so bright that the dark hallway lit up completely. With trembling eyes, Zavian read the words:

"Read the message... I gave you soon… you might gain... something from it…!"

The moment he read it, he was stunned. Completely shocked. He now understood that the mysterious servant was no

She wasn't ordinary not even close and her message it pointed toward something far more dangerous.

Or perhaps...a hidden truth, waiting to be revealed.
