That mysterious smirk on Zavian's lips said it all he had already sensed the approaching danger.
There was no surprise in his eyes..only Clam anticipation kalene however was still trapped between shock and fear.
His voice trembled slightly as he hurriedly asked.
"Boss! Who is it he ?"
Zavian didn't respond. A storm of memories was raging inside his mind. After a brief silence, he slowly turned and said to Kalene,
"Leave for now… we'll talk about this tonight."
Kalene had already picked up on the seriousness in Zavian's tone. In a calm, flat voice, he replied, "Alright, Boss."
Zavian cast a brief yet deep glance at him. Kalene respectfully lowered his head, and the very next moment, he vanished into a swirling cloud of black smoke.
Zavian then looked at the old paper he was holding. Only a few moments had passed when suddenly,
the paper transformed into a crimson glow in his hand and, within seconds, dissolved into thin air.
Zavian took a deep breath and slipped both hands into his pockets.
Without another word, he walked toward the study room. There was something in his stride and presence—a "kind but
powerful" aura—that made him appear far more commanding and dignified than any ordinary man.
The atmosphere in the study room was completely different from the silence outside.
There wasn't even a trace of books anywhere—instead, the entire room echoed with laughter and cheerful voices.
There were no "Professor" or "Student" roles here, just the warmth of a cute and beautiful friendship between two girls.
Sheyaan and Alisha were laughing and chatting together. Covering her mouth, Sheyaan burst into laughter and said,
"Professor!! Where do you... even learn things like this? This is... honestly so embarrassing!"
Alisha, who was currently sitting on top of the table in a total "boss" style, made a playful face and laughed as she said,
"Sheyaan, you have no idea! These days, dramas are so intense that people are practically forced to fall in love.
You know that, right?... and then later, they totally suffer for it!"
Sheyaan was laughing uncontrollably at Alisha's words and her "cool" way of sitting. Still giggling, she jokingly asked,
"But… why do people in love end.. up suffering like that?"
Alisha ran her fingers through her hair with flair and, sitting like a queen, said in a smooth, dramatic voice,
"Sheyaan!! You don't understand… girls like to live like a...'queen.' But...that royal lifestyle comes with a cost, and we... have to earn that money.. ourselves!"
After saying this, Alisha fell silent for a few moments. The playfulness faded from her face,
replaced by an unusual seriousness. Looking straight into Sheyaan's eyes, she said,
"You know, Sheyaan… people do fall in love, but...most of the time, instead of peace, they end... up going through pain.
"And in the end? No one knows...whether two people in.. love will stay together… or be separated forever."
Hearing these deep words, Sheyaan's laughter seemed to fade away. The atmosphere suddenly grew heavy. Sheyaan softly asked,
"Do people in...love never end up together?"
With a faint smile, Alisha adjusted herself properly on the table and replied,
"I don't know...Sheyaan. Falling in love... might feel good at first… but..if you really..think about it, it's also... something that can be very..frightening."
Alisha had just finished her sentence when suddenly a deep piercing voice rang outfrom near the door.
It cut through the air like a blood
"Afraid of what?!"
The voice struck the room like a hammer. The color drained from Sheyaan and Alisha's faces, and both of them fell completely silent.
Shocked, they turned toward the door, where Zavian stood, leaning against it with his hands tucked into his pockets.
His posture was composed and dignified, but his sharp, piercing eyes were fixed entirely on them.
Seeing him there, Sheyaan and Alisha nervously glanced at each other.
Alisha, who had been sitting on the table like a "queen," quietly stepped down.
Sheyaan also got up from her chair, quickly straightening her clothes.
Trying to hide her nervousness behind a forced smile, Alisha asked,
"Zayan… when did you..get here?"
Instead of answering, Zavian stared at both of them with an unreadable expression and said in a heavy voice,
"When..the two of you were so lost in.. your talks about love that you..didn't even notice what was..happening around you."
Hearing this, both Alisha and Sheyaan felt utterly embarrassed and shocked.
They exchanged another glance, as if silently asking each other, What do we do now?
Then, in a tone laced with sarcasm, Zavian turned his gaze toward Alisha and said,
"Alisha… do you come here to.. teach 'lessons in love'?"Or do you..come here to study? Huh!"
Zavian kept his deep, scrutinizing gaze fixed on Sheyaan as he slowly started walking toward her.
"And you... Sheyaan?!"
he asked in a questioning tone.
The way Zavian came so close to her made Sheyaan extremely nervous.
She lowered her gaze and, out of fear, began fidgeting with her hands.
Zavian stopped right in front of her and leaned slightly closer as he said,
"You seemed.. to be enjoying yourself, didn't you? You were.. laughing so much… where did that..laughter go now?"
He paused for a moment before asking firmly,
"Don't you...have to complete your studies?"
His words carried a heavy suffocating weight and that. Serious look in his eyes in genuinely frightened her.
Sheyaan's heart raced as fear took over her voice trembled as she stammered.
"So...Sorry! I… I'll study now… "I won't talk... unnecessarily anymore."
Her innocence and the way she got scared so quickly softened Zavian's otherwise hardened heart.
His tone suddenly gentled, as if her innocence had touched something within him. He said softly,
"Go… and focus on your.. studies."
As soon as she heard this, Sheyaan quickly moved back to her chair without lifting her head and quietly opened her book.
Zavian took a deep breath, then slowly turned his attention toward Alisha...
The moment Alisha noticed the displeased look in Zavian's eyes, she quickly tried to hide her nervousness and said in a flat tone, even crossing her fingers,
"I...I swear! From now on, I'll only.. teach Sheyaan—no... unnecessary talk."
Saying this, Alisha hurried to her chair and sat down. Instantly, she took on a serious "teacher" persona and said,
"Sheyaan! Show me..the work I gave you."
Sheyaan silently handed her notebook to Alisha. While Alisha started checking it, Sheyaan's mind was still elsewhere.
Slowly, she turned back, trying to catch a glimpse of where Zavian was.
But the moment she looked, her eyes met his deep, intense gaze.
Zavian was still standing there, staring right at her. There was such intensity in his eyes that Sheyaan quickly.
turned back toward Alisha, feeling nervous.
When Zavian saw that both girls were now focused on their studies, he finally turned to leave.
As soon as Alisha sensed that he had stepped out of the room, she let out a deep breath of relief.
Looking at Sheyaan, she whispered in a very low voice,
"Honestly, Sheyaan… even his presence feels like a sword. Just... seeing him is enough to make... anyone tremble."
Hearing Alisha's words, Sheyaan gave a soft, gentle smile. Alisha, taking a deep breath, slipped back into her usual lively mood and said,
"Alright, enough talking.. for now… let's focus on studying."
Glancing at Sheyaan's notebook, Alisha expressed both surprise and happiness,
"Sheyaan! Wow… you've done the work I gave you.. really well. Especially the Basic Math questions—you've solved...them very neatly!"
Then, as her eyes moved to the next page, they lit up with curiosity. She asked,
"But… these three great... women whose names you've written.—did you... come up with them on your own, or did you... search for them?"
Sheyaan felt a little nervous hearing this, but she answered honestly,
"Professor! There are so many great...women who have worked hard and... gone through struggles to achieve something... big.
"I couldn't...decide which three names to write… so I did...some research and...then chose these three."
Seeing her dedication, Alisha smiled with pride and said,
"That's really good, Sheyaan! The fact that you did research shows your effort.
Because sometimes, instead of just hearing things, understanding them by confirming them makes a big difference."
Closing the notebook, Alisha announced a new decision,
"Alright, so now I've decided that..."
Closing the notebook, Alisha announced a new decision,
"So, Sheyaan, I've decided that.. I'm going to take you to the library. There, you'll be... able to read new books, which will
" help increase your... knowledge. And most... importantly… you'll get to meet other...students, so you can...overcome your fear of people. Okay?"
Sheyaan listened carefully and replied with a sweet smile,
"Yes, Professor! I... completely agree with you."
Alisha said happily,
"Then it's settled—we'll go to the library.. tomorrow. For now, let's focus on the... rest of your studies."
With enthusiasm, Sheyaan replied,
"Yes, of course!"
And the two of them immersed themselves in their studies.
But far away from this cheerful atmosphere… something entirely different was brewing in the hospital.
There was a faint buzz of activity around, but in one corner, a web of schemes was being quietly woven.
Inside Lucy's ward, an eerie silence lingered. Sitting beside Lucy, Chan spoke softly,
"Dad… what are you..thinking about?"
Mang-long, who was seated on a chair, lost in deep thought, responded in a low yet steady voice,
"Why don't...we begain our 'plan'!"
Chan's eyes lit up with excitement he asked unable to hide his curiosity.
"What kind of 'plan' Dad?"
Manglong glanced at him a strange unreadable smile forming on his lips.
There was something unsettling in his eyes.
"Come…"
He said slowly.
"I'll tell you."
A plan that could change everything. Had already begun.
