Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: I Do Not Offend Others Unless They Offend Me

The Black Tide continued its frenzied assault.

Eighteen nautical miles wasn't far for the "President" sailing at full speed.

"Brother Yu, we're here."

Yao Xue's voice was soft, yet carried a hint of tension.

She didn't need to say anything.

The tremendous roars and battle cries were already carried to their ears by the sea breeze.

The sounds were brutal and chaotic.

Hundreds of people were screaming for survival.

Qin Yu stood in the command tower, looking at the Sky Eye terminal.

Through the lens.

A hellish scene unfolded before his eyes.

The sea surface was ablaze with fire.

Hundreds of torches and the lingering glow of shattered Molotov cocktails illuminated the darkness.

Zhang Nanhai's fleet indeed had some tricks up their sleeves.

This was no ordinary gathering of survivors.

This was an army.

Over a hundred modified small sailboats, like a pack of well-trained wolves, tightly surrounded the massive creature at the center.

"Fire!"

At the command.

Dozens of thick crossbow bolts whistled through the air, embedding themselves deep into the sea beast's flesh.

Each bolt was trailed by a cable as thick as a man's wrist.

The other end was firmly secured to the ships.

"Pull!"

Another furious shout.

Hundreds of bare-chested men chanted in unison as they desperately pulled on the cables.

The sea churned.

The massive creature trapped in the center finally revealed its true form.

It was a giant mosasaur over sixty meters long.

It resembled a moving island.

Its body was covered in barbed scales, its massive mouth filled with rows of sharp fangs like daggers.

But this ruler of the seas was currently in a sorry state.

Its body was riddled with crossbow bolts, blood gushing out like fountains, dyeing the surrounding kilometers of seawater dark red.

"Roar—!"

The mosasaur let out a pained cry.

Its massive tail swung violently.

"Crack!"

Two small boats that had gotten too close were instantly smashed to splinters.

The dozen people aboard didn't even have time to scream before being turned into pulp.

But the surrounding people didn't retreat.

They showed no fear.

"Fill the gaps! Third team, fill the gaps!"

"Anyone who wants to live, hold your ground!"

"It's almost done! That's a quasi-S grade treasure chest! Take it down and we all survive!"

A man standing on the flagship's high platform waved a command flag, his voice cold as ice.

The man wore a neat dark blue windbreaker and gold-rimmed glasses.

He looked scholarly.

But his eyes were filled with mad gambling spirit.

Qin Yu put down his binoculars, a playful smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

"Interesting."

"This life-for-life fighting style is indeed ruthless."

"No wonder he's ranked second."

Li Ruobing watched with boiling excitement beside him, her heavy machine gun already loaded.

"Brother Yu, this Zhang guy does have some skills."

"That mosasaur is at its last gasp."

"Ten more minutes at most, and they'll have worn it down to death."

Qin Yu nodded.

"Yeah."

"Ten minutes."

"Just enough for us to warm up."

He turned around.

Patting the large object covered with canvas beside him.

"Don't provoke others if you don't want to be provoked."

"Since you and Yu Weiwei want to ally against me, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

Qin Yu yanked off the canvas.

Revealing a helicopter with sleek black lines exuding violent aesthetics.

[Heavy Armed Helicopter "Black Hawk" (Modified Version)]

Li Ruobing jumped into the pilot seat, deftly flicking switches on the dashboard.

"Vroom—"

The rotor blades began to spin slowly.

The generated airflow made Yao Qian's skirt flutter on the deck.

"Let's go then."

Qin Yu took the co-pilot seat, putting on tactical headphones.

Holding the microphone of the loudspeaker in his hand.

"Yao Xue, you and Qian Qian stay on the ship."

"Set the radar to maximum power."

"If anyone tries to take advantage of the situation, blast them with the main cannon."

Yao Xue nodded calmly.

"Don't worry, I'll guard our home."

"You... be careful."

"Careful?"

Qin Yu laughed.

As the rotor speed increased, the deck of the "President" began to vibrate slightly.

The helicopter slowly ascended.

The searchlight beneath its belly suddenly lit up.

Like a sharp sword piercing through the dark night sky.

"In this world."

"As long as I'm here."

"There's no place that isn't safe."

...

At the center of the battlefield.

Zhang Nanhai wiped seawater from his face.

It was spray from the Mosasaur's struggle moments ago, carrying a strong fishy smell.

His heart was pounding.

Not from fear.

But excitement.

"Soon..."

"Very soon..."

He stared intently at the Mosasaur whose movements were slowing down.

The beast's health bar was nearly depleted.

As long as he could take it down.

And obtain that possible quasi-S grade treasure chest.

He, Zhang Nanhai, could completely turn the tables!

By then, whether it's Qin Yu or the President, all would be crushed beneath his feet!

"Even though over thirty brothers died..."

"It's worth it!"

A ruthless glint flashed in Zhang Nanhai's eyes.

Human lives?

In this post-apocalyptic world, human lives were the cheapest consumables.

As long as he could become stronger, no number of deaths mattered.

Moreover.

He thought of Yu Weiwei.

That slut should have already delivered the "gift" to Qin Yu, right?

That suicide bomber.

If luck was on his side, the "President" might have already become driftwood floating on the sea.

"Qin Yu, oh Qin Yu..."

"What makes you think you can compete with me?"

"I rely on brains, on strategy, on overwhelming numbers!"

"You only have luck!"

Just as Zhang Nanhai was immersed in his fantasy of imminent victory.

"Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat—"

A strange sound came from above.

The sound was loud.

Rhythmic.

Even drowning out the waves and the shouts of his men.

"What's that sound?"

Zhang Nanhai frowned, instinctively looking up.

The subordinates on surrounding ships also stopped what they were doing in confusion, gazing at the sky.

The next second.

Intense wind pressure descended.

Stirring up turbulent waves on the sea surface, even causing the smaller sailboats to rock violently.

A black steel beast.

Hovered fifty meters above their heads.

The gale whipped up by the rotor blades felt like it could scatter one's very soul.

"That... that's..."

Zhang Nanhai's pupils contracted violently.

His gold-rimmed glasses nearly fell off.

Qin Yu's helicopter?!

Just as everyone was stunned and at a loss.

A piercing electric current sound came from that black steel behemoth.

Followed by.

A lazy, somewhat mocking male voice.

Echoing across the entire sea surface through high-powered speakers.

"Testing, testing."

"Sound check."

"Good evening, friends down below."

Sitting in the helicopter, Qin Yu looked down at the crowd resembling ants.

A cold smirk curled at the corner of his mouth.

"I am Qin Yu."

"The very Qin Yu you've been desperately trying to kill."

The moment he finished speaking.

The crowd below instantly erupted into chaos.

"Qin Yu?!"

"That top-ranked Qin Yu?!"

Zhang Nanhai gripped the railing tightly, his nails digging into the wood.

Qin Yu!

What was he doing here?!

What about the suicide bomber? The explosives? That bitch Yu Weiwei?!

Had the plan failed?

"Boss Zhang."

Qin Yu's voice came through the speakers again.

This time, less mocking, carrying a chilling killing intent.

"You all seem to be struggling quite hard."

"This fish."

"Belongs to me now."

"You have three seconds."

"Take your people and get lost."

"Otherwise."

"Next year today will be the anniversary of your entire fleet's destruction."

Arrogant.

Tyrannical.

Completely unreasonable.

This was Qin Yu.

Zhang Nanhai trembled with rage.

He had painstakingly laid his plans, lost so many brothers, and was just about to reap the rewards.

And Qin Yu expected him to leave with just one sentence?

How dare he?!

"Qin Yu!"

Zhang Nanhai grabbed the ship's megaphone, screaming back hysterically.

"Don't get too cocky!"

"I fought for this!"

"This Mosasaur is mine!"

"So what if you have a helicopter?"

"I refuse to believe you have unlimited ammunition!"

"Brothers!"

Zhang Nanhai turned to his subordinates, eyes bloodshot, shouting.

"Raise the ballistas!"

"Aim at the sky!"

"Shoot him down!"

"If we take it down, that helicopter is ours!"

"That's a divine artifact!"

To be fair.

Zhang Nanhai knew how to stir emotions.

To these desperadoes, great risk often came with great reward.

A divine artifact was right above their heads.

If they could just shoot it down...

"Get him!"

"Damn it! What's there to fear? He's just got one aircraft!"

"Shoot him dead!"

Over a dozen sailboats equipped with heavy ballistas quickly adjusted their angles.

Thick ballista bolts gleamed coldly as they aimed at the Black Hawk helicopter hovering in the sky.

"FIRE!!!"

Zhang Nanhai roared.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Over a dozen ballista bolts shot skyward.

Carrying lethal determination, they streaked toward the hovering black beast.

Inside the helicopter.

Li Ruobing watched the "toothpicks" flying upward.

Not only did she not evade.

Instead, she excitedly licked her lips.

"Brother Yu."

"These fools actually dare to attack."

"Can I begin now?"

Qin Yu leaned back in his seat, watching the ballista bolts that were already losing momentum and beginning to fall mid-air.

He shook his head.

"Since they want to die."

"Let's grant their wish."

"Open fire."

"Let them understand."

"What dimensional superiority truly means."

"With pleasure!"

Li Ruobing laughed heartily.

Her finger firmly pressed down on the red trigger on the control stick.

"Bzzz—"

On the helicopter's side.

The six-barrel Gatling gun's barrels instantly began rotating at high speed.

This sound.

Was the grinding teeth of the Grim Reaper.

The next second.

Tongues of fire spat out!

The muzzle flash, over a meter long, illuminated Li Ruobing's frenzied face.

"Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat—!!!"

A dense rain of bullets poured onto the sea surface like water.

This wasn't Burst Fire.

This was full-auto strafing!

The Metal Storm instantly enveloped those dozen or so sailing ships that dared to resist.

"Thump-thump-thump-thump!"

The originally sturdy wooden planks became as fragile as paper against the heavy machine gun bullets.

Instantly turned into Swiss cheese.

Wood splinters flew everywhere.

Blood splattered in all directions.

Those desperate outlaws who had been shouting about slaying gods just moments before.

Didn't even get a chance to take cover.

Their bodies exploded like water-filled watermelons.

Screams were drowned out by the tremendous gunfire.

The seawater instantly boiled.

It was the spray kicked up by bullets, and waves dyed red with blood.

In just ten seconds.

Those dozen ships, along with over a hundred people aboard.

Completely vanished.

Leaving only floating wooden fragments and dismembered limbs on the sea surface.

The gunfire ceased.

The entire battlefield fell into deathly silence.

Everyone was stunned.

Including the not-yet-dead Mosasaur.

Zhang Nanhai stood on the flagship.

His facial expression frozen solid.

Just moments ago.

A line of bullets had swept past his scalp.

Slicing clean through the mast behind him.

Just two centimeters lower.

And his head would have exploded.

Warm wood splinters and blood from his subordinates behind him splattered across his face.

Burning hot with terror.

"Gulp."

Zhang Nanhai swallowed hard.

His legs went weak.

And he collapsed to sit on the deck.

That fear.

Didn't come from death.

But from a profound sense of powerlessness.

Too strong.

This wasn't a fight between equals.

This was slaughter.

"Still want to fight?"

Qin Yu's voice remained lazy through the loudspeaker.

You could even hear him lighting a cigarette.

"I'm really running low on bullets."

"Want to give it another try?"

Zhang Nanhai trembled all over.

He looked at his subordinates around him.

Those vicious thugs from before had now dropped their weapons, kneeling on the deck with their heads pressed firmly against the surface.

Like prisoners awaiting judgment.

No one dared move.

No one dared look up.

This was no battle.

This was divine punishment.

"I... I'll leave..."

Zhang Nanhai squeezed out the words from his throat.

His voice hoarse like a broken bellows.

"We... will leave immediately..."

"Right away..."

He didn't want to die.

Even if he lost his dignity, lost this quasi S-Class Sea Beast.

As long as he lived.

There would still be chances.

"Smart man."

Qin Yu said lightly.

"Remember."

"This sea."

"I'm in charge."

The helicopter tilted slightly.

The searchlight beam shifted away, illuminating the still struggling Mosasaur.

Zhang Nanhai acted like he'd received a pardon.

Scrambling to his feet.

"Retreat! Full retreat!"

"Maximum speed withdrawal!"

The remaining several dozen ships scurried like frightened rats.

Desperately turning their bows.

Fleeing this terrifying place.

Not even daring to look back.

Qin Yu watched their panicked fleeing figures.

Didn't pursue.

Killing these people would only waste bullets.

"Alright."

Qin Yu turned his gaze to the still breathing giant beast.

His eyes burning with intensity.

"Clean up the battlefield."
