After Asia reluctantly changed into the maid outfit, Rias couldn't help laughing at the girl's flustered expression. Rather than teasing her further, she gently draped a blanket over Asia's shoulders.
"You don't have to force yourself," Rias said with a smile. "I was only joking."
Asia blinked in surprise before letting out a relieved sigh.
"I... I really want to repay your kindness, Miss Rias."
"You already are," Rias replied. "By staying here safely."
The warmth in her voice eased Asia's nervousness.
As evening settled over Kuoh Town, Akeno prepared tea while Koneko silently observed the new guest. Although neither spoke much, Asia could feel that the members of the household weren't unfriendly.
Just then, a crimson magic circle appeared in the living room.
Another Rias stepped out.
Asia froze.
"T-Two Miss Rias...?"
The peerage, already accustomed to the sight, simply watched the two Gremory heiresses greet one another with familiar smiles.
"This is Asia Argento," Crimson Rias introduced. "She's someone I'd like you to protect for the time being."
The local Rias nodded without hesitation.
"If you've brought her here personally, then she's under my protection."
Asia hurriedly bowed.
"I-I'm Asia Argento. P-Please take care of me."
The atmosphere gradually relaxed as everyone introduced themselves.
Over tea, Crimson Rias quietly explained that certain Fallen Angels had already set their sights on Asia. Although she didn't reveal every detail, she warned that the church in Kuoh would soon become the centre of an incident.
"So that's why you asked me about the church," the local Rias murmured.
Crimson Rias only smiled.
"Some pieces are already moving. Whether they become a crisis or an opportunity depends on how you respond."
The words lingered in everyone's minds.
Outside the Gremory residence, hidden in the darkness, several unfamiliar presences silently observed the estate before disappearing into the night.
The calm before the storm had begun.
