Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: The Detector

In this world, the most important thing is strength, followed by information.

After Tohru drifted into this world, Rias realized what problems the exposure of this world's coordinates would bring.

While Rias needed to solve the problems with this world's Pantheons, she also needed to open up communication with the Other World.

As the most powerful figure in the High School DxD world, Rias had already taken over the responsibilities of the Great Red.

To this end, she specifically created a magical device to scout the Dimensional Gap.

The Detector and the Fishing Rod were originally a set, so it didn't take much effort to make them.

It mainly captured energy fluctuations within the Dimensional Gap, using them to extend her vision to infinitely distant places.

After deploying the Detector, the first thing Rias did was use it to observe the situation around DxD.

Soon after, Rias observed dozens of worlds.

The most likely threat to this world was undoubtedly the EXE World, where the struggle for supremacy between Pantheons was nearly over, with only two Pantheons remaining.

One Pantheon was the element, and the other was the Machine.

There were two known highest-ranking Spirit Gods.

The high-ranking Spirit God in charge of element, the 'Good God', Luser-Torsh.

And the 'Holy Mother God', Chimne-Chipot.

The Holy Mother God—Chimne-Chipot—had crossed the Great Red's dream blockade several times to make contact with this world's Pantheons.

From the Heaven System, Rias learned that the Virgin Mary of the Biblical Pantheon was likely the Holy Mother God.

Furthermore, there was an existence who called herself the 'Breast God' who had appeared in the original High School DxD; she was the person behind the scenes who triggered the miracles created by the protagonist, Issei Hyoudou.

According to information calculations, the Holy Mother God and the Breast God were likely one and the same, just using different titles or divine names.

In the process of various Pantheons fighting each other, gods merging into other Pantheons or even using multiple aliases was uncommon in this world, but still normal.

For example, Indra was like this.

The other Pantheon consisted of Mechanical Lifeforms; in terms of appearance, they were very similar to Transformers, but their mystical nature was different.

They had three supreme deities: the Ghost God Regalzeva, the Evil God Melvazoa, and the Demon God Selascelbes.

The three great Machine Gods possessed strength far exceeding the Dragon God Level; in the EXE World, the Spirit faction was barely maintaining itself to avoid being wiped out.

Compared to the Spirit Gods, the Mechanical Lifeforms were very aggressive.

Because they were Machines, as long as they had enough data, mass production was possible.

Therefore, after being in a stalemate with the Spirit God lineage for countless years without a victory, these Mechanical Lifeforms turned their gaze outward.

According to the information from the Detector, the number of worlds and civilizations destroyed by these Mechanical Lifeforms was more than just one or two...

"Is there still some distance?"

Rias murmured.

The Dimensional Gap was vast; perhaps it would be better to call it the 'Dimensional Sea'.

Even if the people of this world didn't court death, those Machines would discover this world in twenty years at most.

If someone did court death, it wasn't impossible for them to arrive within half a year.

Given the current state of this world, without Rias's existence, it was very likely that all life on this planet would be extinct in less than half a year.

After all, the conquest of Mechanical Lifeforms didn't require anything to be alive.

After observing for two full days, Rias looked around the worlds surrounding DxD and then discovered the Mechanical Lifeforms' external crusade fleet.

The Evil-Crushing Ghost God Fleet, led by Regalzeva; based on the direction he was heading, it seemed to be the FXF World.

"Forget it, I don't care."

Having roughly determined that there were no more threats nearby, Rias ignored it.

Anyway, with Rias's current strength, the existence of those Machines didn't matter at all.

At most, they would just cause a shock to this world's Pantheons.

Aside from that, Rias's Detector discovered worlds at even greater distances.

Among them was a world that was also Earth, closely adjacent to the Other World.

Judging by the aura on Tohru, that Other World was precisely Tohru's world.

In terms of distance, it was naturally considered far, but the fact that Tohru could drift over and Rias's Detector could find that world indicated that even if it was far, it wasn't too far.

Given the characteristics of the Dimensional Gap, this was entirely possible.

Additionally, Rias noticed a white dragon floating in the Dimensional Gap a bit further away from the two worlds.

Rias recognized that dragon instantly;

Kanna Kamui, a Young Dragon over 14,000 years old.

This point might be slightly different from the dragons in Rias's world...

"Exiled from her original world because of a prank, then followed Tohru's aura, only to lose her way halfway?"

Rias guessed, then picked up the fishhook.

With Kanna's strength, she wouldn't have any problems in the Dimensional Gap for the time being.

However, unless one reached the Dragon God Level, it was difficult to generate energy on one's own in a place like the Dimensional Gap.

Especially for dragons from within a world, it was very hard to survive outside of it.

If it went on for too long, problems might arise—

Of course, although she was exiled, someone would naturally come to the rescue if she truly encountered danger.

However, suffering a bit was certain.

But judging by her current state, she had probably been adrift in the Dimensional Gap for a while.

With a flick of the Fishing Rod, the line was cast into the Dimensional Gap, looking as if the line had vanished at a certain point.

"Hooked her."

Before long, Rias broke into a smile.

The fishing line transcended the concept of distance and hooked into Kanna's body.

Using the vast Dominion of the Small Universe as an energy source and the Dominion shards fused from various concepts as the essence of strength, Kanna was dragged over in an instant.

When Rias dragged her over, Kanna was still a bit dazed and hadn't reacted yet.

"Wake up, little one."

Rias smiled.

Although Kanna was very old, her mental age didn't count.

Moreover, according to the growth of the Dragon Race, she was indeed considered a Young Dragon.

"Mm, have I come inside a world?"

It took a while for Kanna's eyes to widen, her youthful voice reaching Rias's ears.

"Yes, I was observing the Dimensional Gap by chance and then found you."

Rias chuckled, "For a Young Dragon, you sure have some nerve wandering in the Dimensional Gap for so long; you're really not afraid of death."

Only life forms that have reached the Dragon God Level can soar freely in the Dimensional Gap.

As for those below the Dragon God Level, it's best to be a life form that doesn't rely on external energy and has a certain capacity to deal with danger.

As for those even weaker, simply existing in the Dimensional Gap would cause them to be assimilated and annihilated.

Besides living beings, there are also those like the Machines who build'ships' that can roam the Dimensional Gap.

Sniff, sniff~

Suddenly, the Young Dragon twitched her nose, her eyes lighting up as she said, "There's Lady Tohru's aura here!"
