Chapter 19 - The Professional Napper

The alarm clock screams at six in the morning,

But I ignore its loud and persistent warning.

Just five more minutes, I tell myself a lie,

While the sun starts to climb in the Chattogram sky.

I open my book and I look at page one,

And suddenly feel like my brain is all done.

"Newton had laws," okay, that's very nice,

But I'd rather be eating a bowl of cold rice.

I sit in the class with a face so intense,

Trying to make all the chemistry sense.

But my mind is away on a tropical cruise,

While I struggle to fight off a mid-lecture snooze.

The teacher is talking of history and wars,

While I'm busy counting the tiles on the floors.

I've mastered the art of "the focused-fake stare,"

While thinking of snacks and the wind in my hair.

My bag is so heavy, it's filled with my dreams,

Or maybe just notebooks and chocolate, it seems.

Education is great, and I'll pass every test,

But first, I must take a much-needed rest!
