The first impression of Diarmuid's weapons, as widely spread in mythology, is his two spears and two swords. However, in addition to spears and swords, Diarmuid actually possesses a knife.
The knife's true name is Gearrasgian. Legend has it that Diarmuid could instantly carve nine wood shavings with this knife, and no warrior in all of Ireland could match such swordsmanship.
Because of this legend, when Diarmuid wielded this knife, the already incredibly fast peerless knight's speed increased another notch, becoming so fast that even Rin found it difficult to detect in time to react.
However, while being ambushed and losing her balance might be unexpected, being cut in half by a subsequent waist-level slash would be underestimating Rin too much.
The severed figure rapidly blurred and then completely dissipated in the blink of an eye. Immediately after, a giant magic missile, two meters in diameter, slammed down from the upper floor, directly onto Diarmuid's head—
Boom!!!
The dazzling and massive ball of magical energy erupted with a roar! The extremely bright, compressed point of magic exploded infinitely in an instant after extreme compression, almost completely hollowing out the middle section of the building's facilities with this insane attack!
If not for Kayneth's bounded field, this magic missile, comparable to the attack that destroyed Einzbern Castle, would have completely blown apart the seventy-five-story Shinto (New City) Central Building from its middle section. The remaining top fifteen floors or so would have flown into the sky, eventually falling like meteors onto some part of Fuyuki City.
Rin's figure reappeared, landing on the architectural ruins of the lower floor. Amidst the scattered concrete, bricks, and wood debris, there was an almost equal amount of flesh and blood remains—the bodies of ordinary people still in the building, used by Kayneth as sources of magical energy.
The reason Rin told Lancelot to leave was partly out of consideration for these ordinary lives, but the main reason was that Lancelot's anxious and frantic appearance was simply too unsightly, like a defeated dog.
Rin could stop Lancelot for the sake of these ordinary lives because she had the confidence and strength to fight and defeat Kayneth and Diarmuid. However, she would never tie her own hands because of them. After this battle, only a few would likely survive; perhaps they would die from Rin's battle or its aftermath, or perhaps from Kayneth's life force extraction. If one were to ask why they had to die so senselessly, it was simply because they were too weak... That's why I don't want this ignorant happiness!!!
Rin, who had personally created this shocking and tragic battlefield, cried out in her heart! Her movements showed no hesitation. Her right fist, glowing with magic crests, heavily struck the architectural ruins ten meters behind Rin's accumulated debris.
Numerology Crest: Earth Compression!
The faint magical light instantly swept through every gap in the ruins. In the blink of an eye, with a roar, the rubble and debris instantly sank five meters. The ten-meter-thick ruins were completely compressed into a single mass, leaving no trace of space.
Boom!
The compressed rubble and stones suddenly exploded, forming a human-shaped crater on the flat surface some distance from Rin, revealing Diarmuid's form amidst the scattered stones.
"It seems you won't die unless I directly shatter your Heroic Spirit core from the front."
Looking at Diarmuid, who had not been killed by an attack of this magnitude, Rin frowned in thought before making her judgment.
"Exactly. At this moment, only my Spirit Core remains intact. My injured body regenerates rapidly and infinitely, but the cost is those innocent lives..."
The righteous and noble knight, unable to shed the burden of 'innocents' as calmly as Rin, looked down at his hands and feet, his expression dim as he said, "How is this possible! This amount of magical energy is already beyond what a human could possibly possess!"
On the top floor of the building, Kayneth, observing Rin's feat of blasting and defeating Diarmuid through his clairvoyance magic, couldn't help but stand up.
If that previous attack hadn't been within the confines of this building's battlefield, and if Diarmuid's Spirit Core hadn't been directly hit, he would have been forced to withdraw, despite his rapid regeneration fueled by a large supply of life force.
"Is that guy really no longer human?! What's going on with the Church, allowing non-humans to participate in the Holy Grail War!"
Kayneth was agitated at this moment, cursing the Church in his mind. As the overseer of the Holy Grail War, the Church, by unspoken agreement, was only open to humans—
After all, non-human creatures are the Church's sworn enemies. Handing over the wish-granting Holy Grail to their sworn enemies is something even the wealthy Church would not do.
However, he didn't know that when Rin obtained the command spells for the Holy Grail War, she was still a pure human being. And with Rin's concealment methods, if she wanted to hide, not just anyone could discover her. At least in this Type-Moon World, no one could discover her unless they were face-to-face with an existence of Crimson Moon's caliber.
"Lancer, immediately use your strongest noble phantasm to decide the outcome! There's no time for you to be sentimental!"
Kayneth's furious roar echoed throughout the entire building from the top floor, amplified by echo magic.
"Understood, my Lord. Berserker's Master, take this!"
Diarmuid's Gae Dearg (Red Rose of Extermination) in his hand once again switched to the crimson long-bladed magic sword. He raised the sword high.
Rin immediately became twelve times more vigilant. That long sword was undoubtedly Diarmuid's strongest noble phantasm: Gae Bolg Alternative!
Gae Bolg Alternative is a magic sword gifted by Manannán mac Lir, the Celtic god of the sea and the Otherworld, to Aengus, the child of god and god of love. Aengus later gave it to his beloved adopted son, Diarmuid. It is said to be capable of slaying all who oppose its wielder with a single strike.
Diarmuid, carrying this sword, once slew four thousand warriors of the Otherworld with a single strike, which demonstrates its extraordinary power.
"Gae Bolg Alternative!!!"
At this moment, in Diarmuid's hand, Gae Bolg Alternative recreated its mythical power. The magic sword, after its True Name Release, possessed the combined power of the ocean and sword energy. The blade of energy, like surging waves, was the might of this magic sword—
The peerless knight unleashed a single sword strike, and in an instant, countless energy blades formed an invisible tsunami of sword energy! It swept towards Rin with a world-engulfing momentum, intent on annihilating her!
Fortunately, it was an Anti-Army noble phantasm; its attack power against individuals was not very strong. Kayneth was only making bad moves. He loved enemies who didn't understand yet insisted on giving orders!
Thousands of projected noble phantasms materialized in Rin's hand, prepared in advance. The magic-crafted noble phantasms and the wave-like sword energy clashed fiercely between Rin and Diarmuid—
Boom boom boom...!!!
Intense tremors reverberated throughout the already empty building. The explosion's shockwave instantly rushed to the top floor, obliterating everything thoroughly. The remaining less than fifteen floors at the top were also instantly destroyed and fell down.
